The Dark Academy on Korriban

Khalim, still seething from the results of his earlier expedition, returns to the Administration building to seek the Overseer.

At least some use can come of this damned thing yet.

He approaches the office of Rona Thaine, knocks on the door, and waits.

“Come in,” the Overseer says.

The door slides open and inside she is addressing some students. She looks at the trio assembled and says, ‘Get out of my sight before I cut you half. Aspirant Khalim, please be at ease.”

The students rush out with terror.

Khalim walks in and steps before her, bowing his head respectfully.

"I believe I may have some information that might...resolve an issue or two, Overseer. Though it may require some help from you to achieve the desired effect."

"Do go on, future Sith," she says with a smile.

He explains, "Earlier today, I discovered a long forgotten tomb, and within was the lair of Death's Shadow. The beast and its pack was far more than I or my companions could deal with, and we were forced to escape from its clutches."

A small smile then forms on his lips, a cold smile without any mirth, "That being said, with the lair's location discovered, it seems that Death's Shadow may well be of use."

"Thus, I wonder. Would it be possible for an interesting curriculum to be created for certain individuals requiring them to explore a particular, 'completely safe' tomb?"

The meaning behind his words is pretty damn clear, as is the most likely intended victim.

"I think it would be my duty as a Sith to challenge prospective students," she said with a smile.

He nods, "Of course, Overseer. A challenging curriculum produces the finest Sith."

He pulls out his datapad, "Just as it is my duty as an aspirant to report interesting, unexplored tombs that I come across, that the contents within might be recovered for the glory and strength of the Sith and the Empire. Of course, I'd be absolutely -honored- if, when the tomb is eventually explored by those capable of dealing with the dangers, I might be included as its discoverer."

The cold smile remains, "Naturally, a few aspirants might have to be sent first to discover that the tomb does, in fact, require more expertise than most aspirants have to properly uncover its secrets."

“I believe that seems only fair for your discovery, aspirant,” she says warmly.

"I believe the companions I was with this evening also wish to return to exact revenge upon the beast within the coming days, so it may be best if the 'test' be done sooner."

He then turns over the coordinates of the lair.

"I thank you for your time, Overseer." He bows again, as appropriate to one of higher station.

She smiles taking the datapad, “You will be greatly reward, aspirant. Greatly rewarded.”

"It is simply an honor to serve in the betterment and greatness of the Sith Empire, Overseer."

And if that slave dies to a legendary beast, it will just be one more nameless aspirant who has fallen to it...a fate fitting to one of no value and no family.

"If you've nothing else, shall I leave you to your work?"

"You are dismissed," she says with a nod.
