"Then I'll drink to a smooth assignment and the wisdom of fathers." He finished the beer and ordered a new one. "Tatooine's fine enough. Oh, watch out for the sandstorms. If one of those gets called in make sure you stay indoors unless you like digging yourself out of a dune."

As he waited for the beer to arrive he watched her more closely. "I expect I'll hear of your service with Darth Marr on the news. Glorious victories against the Republic, that sort of thing."

Even if Kristal didn't realize who it was from she would have realized that it was her favorite drink. And Sylvain nodded in response to Shaisha's acknowledgement.

He watched the singing with interest and applauded when appropriate.

Drinking was the intent, and certainly she realized that after a drink or two. Which, eventually, in hindsight she would likely piece together just who sent it over. Smooth assignments, fathers wisdom? Kristal could certainly drink to that.

"You might," she said with a bit of a smile. Perhaps it was a good mood from her favorite drink. In part she was also trying to push herself here, if she wanting to be honest. Trying to be in a better mood than she's been.

"Best get in your chance now at rubbing elbows with the famous of tomorrow now then."

Glancing through the crowd Sylvain caught Shasha's eyes. Taking off his mask and putting it in his arm, he motioned with his head toward the stage.

"You gonna go up?" He mouthed to her from across the room.

Shaisha casually sipped her new drink, at first almost pretending she didn't hear Sylvain.

"... Are you going to make me?"

He simply smiled and motioned towards the stage with his head more emphatically.

"Go on." He then smiled and pointed to himself and then the stage, "You want me to go with?"

"There's no proper accompaniment here for opera," she gave a small haughty huff. "It would have to be one of these more modern pieces then."

He thought for a moment, "You and I?" He mouthed to her.

It was a dangerous play... there was much in that song that would resonate with the third member of their Trio... and he had Moyr to think about as well.

He tilted his eyebrow as if to ask if she was ready.

She considered it quietly for a moment. It was a very emotional song, but out of a lot of options, it was one that was, somehow, oddly fitting in a strange way.

And if outsiders wanted to misinterpet it, well, that was their prerogative.

"Alright." Another swing of drink, Shaisha gave a nod to Sinea as she left her company to step up with Sylvain.

Seeing the people gathered so far, she was reminded of why she had been drunk the last time she had stood up to sing infront of others. She adored music, but she hated an audience. Never mind them. Think only of yourself for now.

Then, she cued for Sylvain to start. When her turn came, she subdued her voice away from the classic opera she had been taught, and instead poured her emotions into her voice.

"SYLVAIN:

Sylvain nodded and turned to his companions, "Excuse me... it looks like I'm being called." He smiled and winked at Moyr before climbing up on the stage.

After cuing the simple accompaniment, Sylvain looked out into the crowd and smiled. His eyes glanced over where he knew Kristal to be sitting, to see if she was watching Shai and him get up.

His eyes then came back to where he had been sitting and looked over Moyr as he said the first couple of lines in the song.

Soon after that however, he turned to Shaisha and together they fed off the other's performance. If there was a better song that captured his current relationship with Kristal, it didn't come immediately to mind. Shaisha's practice in opera and other forms of formal theater made it difficult to keep up vocally. But what he lacked in skill, he was able to make up with a genuine connection to the song, that came out in his performance.

As they finished their song, Sylvain took Shaisha's hand and kissed it gracefully, then bowed to her in thanks for carrying him along vocally and deflected attention to her performance rather than his own.

His eyes darted up towards Kristal for only a moment, waiting to see her reaction, but soon returned to look at his destination as he sought to return to his seat and the people he had been chatting with.

"Whether something is frivolous or not is a matter of perspective Sith Layne. I shall be studying with Jaina Von. What of yourself?"

He gets a drink for her as well and passes it to her. He idly listens to the singing in the background.

After his turn on stage he had tossed the mic to the band and hopped off. He patted Moyr on the back as he walked past to the bar. There was an open spot next to Sinea so he moved there and placed an order. "I'm gonna need a Vasarian brandy. And whatever gorgeous here and her beautiful friend were having, give them one from me." He looks over at Sinea wit a smile as he leans against the bar.between hers and Shaisha's seats.

The Red Menace couldn't help but laugh at that and raised a massive elbow. "I'd spill their drinks. Guess they'd remember that."

He couldn't help but two along to Moyr and then Zeno as they sang. However, when Shaisha and Sylvain started on their song he just shook his head, bemused. As they finished he turned to look at Kristal again and sipped his drink.

"I didn't know she had such a good voice. Song choice is subtle as a brick though. Do you sing Kristal?"

After Sylvain's lukewarm reaction to her song Moyr was stumped though she hid it behind a casual smile. The way he behaved after that were not an improvement. She had an eye for little details, words picked out of the ambience, gazes traded. It mostly baffled her, especially the sudden duo performance, which was as equivocal and unsettling as it could.

And then came the prodigal pat on the back. Good old Zeno sometimes did just the right thing at just the right time. It shook Moyr out of the haze and triggered cool thinking where her emotion was the fuel burning in the engine not one spilled on a slippery road. Outsider's prerogative indeed, to think outside the box.

Her gaze eventually landed where Sylvain looked, on Kristal. She did not return her attention to the stage, she had seen enough. The Duros looked like the most attractive conversation partner right now.

"So, Rum, have you already had a word from Lord Hoshi about the next thing?"

Sinea nodded back to Shaisha. "Cruel fate has kidnapped you, my dear friend." She said with a smile. The seat wasn't cold for long as a familiar friend joined in. "Hello there handsome. Didn't take you for someone who likes wine."

"Oh, for me it makes very little difference. Sometimes I like something sweet, and sometimes I want a little bite," he says with a smirk. "But I'm no connoisseur, put something intoxicating in front of me and I'll enjoy it."

"Well, I do have a dirty sock I can throw your way." She replied cheekily, then slipped some of her wine. "So strange, seeing everyone together for the last time."

He looks at her seriously for a moment. "Really? Were you wearing it earlier? I could definitely get behind that." He then laughs at that as the drinks are brought over, Zeno asking for a cover for Shaisha's to keep it save until her return.

He takes up his glass and holds it out for a little toast with Sinae. "To seeing our rise."

Noticing Shaisha go up toward the stage she tracked the movement for as she didn't have much else to occupy her with Jo'renn turning to the stage. With Sylvain going up beside her she just had a neutral, interested expression of the whole deal. Drink perfectly to hand as she settled in to watch. Which brought the dots together for her more quickly than she had thought prior.

Blunt as hell of a song choice, but that bluntness made it so that there was a bright chuckle as the song finished. Looking much like a smile from the outside.

Conversation partners took precedence above other things though, and his question made her laugh. A laugh aided along a bit by the alcohol flowing through her system.

"Oh no, never. Do not think you can try to convince me of it either," she said, pointing at him from the side of her glass. With another sip, she offered a bit of information instead. "Shaisha had a lot of lessons when she was young. You and the rest of these people here just got to witness a rare treat."

The duros shrugs.

'' Nope, not at all. But taking into account her past records and years of service I can guess that it will be at the front lines against the republic. Balmorra perhaps? Alderaan? Who knows...'' He calmly explained.

'' What about you Moyr?'' He asked.

Grenda looked about over her drink. She took more note of who was not here than who was. A surprisingly smaller number than she had expected when she turned up here.

"Well, you pulled out a star nonetheless. Lord Yulo is a big unknown, so for me all is still in the cards."

Moyr took a sip of her drink.

"I'm glad we made it, Rum."

"I wouldn't dream of it." He gave her an amused smile and winked before taking a long draught of his beer. It has been a good choice, coming to speak to Kristal.

"We all change though. Maybe I'll be there when you make your début. You could always get lessons from Shaisha, she's pretty spectacular." In a few different ways.. His eyes drifted over to the petite sith for a moment and then back again.

"Maybe if it gets really crazy in here I'll take a turn. But I'm usually more of a sit around a campfire, handmade instruments kind of guy."

"My change won't be to find my voice," she said with that cool tone of hers, smirking as she did. Tapping the top of her glass with her index finger while it rested in her hand.

"Have eyes for her?"

As Kristal asked she leaned up on the bar a bit. Using her elbow for support off of it. There was a look in her eye as she thought about the possibilities there.

"You certain of that?" He smiled and looked over at Shaisha. "Sure do, we have our moments."

He waved to Shaisha through a gap in the crowds and returned his attention to Kristal. "You guys grew up together, right? Oh, and are you ready for another?". He gestured to her glass, his own beer was almost finished.
