After the day's intimidation and massacring of slaves, Jo'ren decided it was way past time that he took a trip to the sixes. His armour was locked up safely in his room, he just carried his lightsaber, attached to his utility belt. Looking around he didn't immediately see any familiar faces, although they could have been tucked away in a booth.

With a shrug of his big shoulders he walked up to the bar and asked for the Order 66. Leaning against it, he checked his communicator and watched the crowds, opening himself up to the flow of the Force.

There is a message waiting for him on his communicator.

A woman sweeps into the chamber she seems sweet but there is an aura of a camouflaged predator. Her Imperial uniform is crisp and sharp but around the wrist is what is marketed as traditional sith jewelry. She stands at the bar not far from Jo’ren.

Interesting... Collecting his drink he took a sip and considered what to do.

Having finally learned how to tap into his Force abilities Jo'ren reached out towards the sweet-looking predator. He figured there was something odd enough about her to make it worth his time, plus it was good practice, so he focused in on the dark side using his own passionate thoughts. She was pretty hot, for a human.

(OOC: Is there a text function on the communicators or would others be able to hear the message if I played it in here?)

OOC: Discipline roll versus 2 Challenge dice and 2 Difficulty dice, she seems to be guarding her emotions. There is a text function though this is not a text message. You can adjust the volume.

Well that really didn't work, so much for the Force. He reached up to his nose and discovered that odd sensation was blood leaking out of his nose. His immediate thought was that the woman had to be a Sith Lord in disguise.

Jo’ren is hit with a terrifying vision of a sith woman wielding a massive axe, she grins as sith put to death thousands of sith amidst what looks like a green… forest, to death. She rides a tuk’ata to war, she does not kill she slaughters and there is so much rage… so much fury.

And then he wakes up on the floor.

OOC: Sure take a wound.

Fortunately his drink was still on the bar as he slowly got back up, dusted himself down and grabbed a napkin to wipe the blood away. He was really starting to wish that his new powers had manifested as an ability to avoid notice. Grabbing his drink he gave the bartender the universal 'what can you do' expression, and moved over to find a booth. On his own. With no crazy-ass Sith-witch disguised as a pretty human.

Once he was safely ensconced in a position with his back to the wall and a view of the witchy-woman he dialled down the volume on his communicator and played back the message. He'd figure out the other thing later.

The message is a holo of the streets of Nar Shaddaa and then it settles on Jedi Knight Thy Yulani, “So this is a bit embarrassing but the only person I know besides a wookie with great taste in undergarments, a shifty smuggler, and a very odd droid is a sith. I figured Gorby is a bit tired of me so I am reaching out to you on the off chance you get this and because well I have no one else to talk to.”

“Lot has changed many of the Jedi stuff has changed, there is war. Things could have gone really bad back on Korriban, but they didn’t. What you said about there being gray… yeah I have been thinking about it. I don’t know. I am not sure if this message has any real point but I made it.”

“We are enemies, but maybe we can be not enemies? I don’t even know if sith have friends. You probably just have enemies and frenemies. Anyway may the Force be with you.”

The message ends.

There is a second text message that reads –Kalen always come through here’s your cut 1000 credits-

Jo'ren hid the little smile that had formed on his face, by finishing the drink. He told himself it was the 1000 credits that did it, but he couldn't lie to himself for long. That was... Well, he wasn't sure what it was. A thing that had happened. A possibility.

He turned the communicator around with his fingers a few times and then replaced it in his pocket. It didn't stay there long, as he pulled it out and sent a text message back to Kalen -Told you it'd work out. Catch you for our next adventure.-

Jo'ren looked over to the bar and raised his empty glass, figuring the good will he had for being one of the top students would see him get a refill delivered. He considered his options, decided against a holo-recording and sent another text. This one was to Thy, it said -I have a friend. His name is Gerald. Maybe I could stand another. Look out for yourself. Meatbag.-

He replaced the communicator in his pocket and scanned the room to see where the force-witch had gotten to.

Ensign Veers was drinking alone, she was pretty but none of the men were approaching her and she seemed to like it that way. She glances at Jo’ren and gives a sly wink and then returns to her drinking.

What to do what to do? This was an odd situation. He didn't know who she was, but he knew she wasn't what she appeared to be. The vision had been at once terrifying and satisfying. Something primal. He found her couldn't help but not at her when she winked at him.

It occurred to him that there were perhaps two people he could go to for information about what he had just seen: Lord Zash, and cranky old Lord Savas.

For the moment he just waited for his drink to arrive and took another look at his communicator and began to type.

Text message to Gerald Hin: -Hey Gerry, get yourself to #66 so I can buy you a drink.-

The drink is brought by a droid and the woman gets another drink. Five minutes later Gerald walks in looking a bit sweaty but with a smile. He waves and says, “Hey Jo’ren, I was just training, that slave revolt showed me I needed more… uh work.”

He takes a seat and has a water brought to him.

"Hey buddy, I'm buying you a drink." He waved to the robot for another one and swept his eyes across the woman to see if she was looking at him again.

"Had a windfall and figured I'd celebrate. Good to hear you're putting in the time with the Master of Arms. How's that all coming along for you?"

“She says I am dead,” he chuckles.

“But I have made a lot of progress over the last few weeks. I get up early to get practice in. How are you enjoying being the most terrifying student at the Academy at least in that armor.”

"Ha HA!" He laughed at Von's sense of humour.

"Yeah I was 'missing a leg' for a while there, and she force chocked me, but now that's got my own 'saber and get back out there every day we're cool." He sipped his drink and raised his eyebrows at Gerald.

"Pretty cool huh? One day I'll tell you the real story of how I got it. But yeah, you should have seen the looks on their faces when I waded in and started ordering them about. Felt pretty powerful, you know?"

He patted the hilt at his side. "We'll need to get you one of these soon, once you're alive again. Maybe just a standard blade though, or a shoto?"

“I think shoto is more my style, I am hoping to build my own just like you did. I want to hear that story it is probably amazing, I bet there were monsters and an epic duel. There is always an epic duel in all the best Sith stories,” he says with awe.

More like a duel of wits...and I *think* I won.

"Heh, yep there sure is! And a shoto sounds like a plan, let me know if you want to use that holocron, I'm sure Rona won't mind me taking it out again. I'm itching to try improving my blade again, so we could team up again the mechanics lab again?"

e took another drink, this order 66 was really good. "What about everything else, how's life in general?"

“I study all the time, I met a creepy witch… umm Jun-Tsu I think, apparently the Librarian of the school Library that no one uses. I have been working with Lord Zash, but nothing as exciting as you I bet,” he says with a smile.

Gerald’s drink arrives.

"Jun-Tsu? Don't know her, hell, didn't know there was a library. Guess I should stop in and check it out." He raised his glass to give Gerry a cheers.

"To graduating and becoming a powerful Sith. I guess Lord Zash could help you with that, Lord Savas too if he's looking for an apprentice underneath all of that grump." He looked around to check on where the hot chick-witch was and lowered his voice conspiratorially. "You know I've got Lord Vengen watching me. He's High Commander of the Outer Rim forces, can you imagine how many crazy adventures I could get up as his apprentice?"

“The dark Council? That is amazing man, you would be at the top of the hierarchy!” Gerald says with awe.

"Yeah, and that's the best place to be in the Empire." He lifted his glass and took another sip. "I'm kind of hoping he'll give me a mission of some sort to prove my worth. Although he did say to keep doing what I'm doing. So I guess finding my own suit of Sith armour and wielding a double-bladed lightsaber has probably gotten back to him by now."

He shrugged and pulled out the communicator to check it again quickly. "Once I'm up near the top I'll pull my friends up with me."

“You don’t see too many Sith using a double bladed lightsaber, it seems pretty hard to use. How do you like it?” he asks.

Jo'ren smiled at that.

"True, it suits my fighting style though. I'm strong and have lots of natural dexterity, so it came easily to me. Got to be skilled, or you'll cut yourself. Plus you can use one end if you really feel like it, but I enjoy being a red whirling bringer of doom."

He looked through the bottom of the empty glass. "That's enough alcohol for me for tonight, do you want another?"

“I am fine,” he says in response.

“Well that goes well with that Red Menace thing you have going. So I hear we are going to a dig with Lord Savas tomorrow, should be pretty cool.”

Jo'ren raised his eyebrows. "Well shit, look who's in the know. You got an inside track with the instructors now?" Grinning he continued. "Heh, yeah, you know Xevine came up with The Red Menace and it seems to have stuck. Anyway, what's the deal with this dig? Know anything more about it?"
