The Dark Academy on Korriban

Sinea sat in one of the rare empty rooms in the halls. It was a bit difficult to get to... but then, that was its purpose. She waited for her conversation companion to arrive. Truthfully, she never talked to Sylvain, but she figured it might be worth a try for the first time on the last day. Besides, she had nothing better to do at the moment.

Sylvain arrived in his dress robes and donning his newly acquired mask. He had heard of the exploits of the Sith Seer during the battle on Yavin in the battle wrap-up with the commanders, so when he received a request to meet he was intrigued by the proposal and responded promptly.

Approaching with noble precision he bowed and greeted the Pure Blood, "Sith Sinea Okatesh, it is a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for your invite to talk with me."

"Sith Torsin." She smiled at him and waved. "Happy to. We haven't talked yet, but it seemed like time. You have an... interesting legacy, and a potential to live up to." Her smile widened. "And besides, I always like know influential people."

He smiled, but Sinea wouldn't know that given the circumstances, "You are far too kind, I am still but a learner in the ways of influence."

Then asked, "What is your interest in such people? I find us to be rather boring and elusive the majority of the time." There was a slight teasing tone to the smooth mechanical sound of his voice as it traveled through his mask's audio system.

"Oh? How do you know I don't like boring? Boring is the new mysterious and intriguing, haven't you head?" She cocked her head. "Did a bug bite or something, that you wear that mask? I heard you have a face that some people even liked to look at on occasion."

A chuckled came reverberating through the audio output, "Sorry for the potential disappointment, I've decided to keep my gifts as private as I can. So I can show those worthy of my attention that they have earned it through their deeds. No more free-bees."

He then said, "I heard of your exploits on Yavin. The ritual you performed was most helpful in the battle, perhaps I can make a concession for one who has served with such distinction."

"Oh my, how generous." She shook her head ruefully. "What generosity.... don't let it get to your head. Proper lords never give for free." She sat down on one of the chairs in the small classroom, her leg extended outwards. "So, congratulations on your graduation Sith Torsin. Any special plans for the future?"

He followed her in and sat down in a chair facing hers. Removing his mask, he smiled at her and answered, "For now I will be heading home to Dromund Kaas, matters concerning my father's death, and my duties for my new master take me there."

Then asked, "And you? Planning on running in influential circles sometime soon?"

She extended her arms upwards, stretching a bit. "Mhm... maybe." She flashed a smile. "The events of Yavin gave me a slight change of perspective." She looked him in the eye. "My condolences." She leaned in towards him. "So, Sith Handsome... what do you think? Is there a war in our future?"

"Is there ever peace?" He asked with a smile.

"For true Sith? Of course not." She smiled at him. "But I am curious... the Republic and the Jedi. They're still there. The ones who wanted to kill us. Exterminate us."

"It is the eventual destiny of the Empire to destroy the Republic and the Jedi that holds it up... but when or how we continue on in that endeavor is still not something I have access... today." He said with a smile.

"Why are you interested in the potential of war? I don't take you for a combatant."

"Oh? Now there's a reason to be your friend." She smiled at him, before turning more somber. "War is more than waving your saber, and as you can tell from Yavin, seeing the future and doing something about it has its benefits." Her fingers started playing on the arm of her chair. "I don't like to be surprised. It's something of a professional embarrassment, you see."

"Is that so?" He said with a smile, "Well... what information would help you avoid such embarrassment?"

"Well...." She drew small circles on the arm. "As you've gathered... war. My family has a special predilection for the Force for a long while now... but I am thinking of bringing that to another layer." She slowly stood up and put a hand on his shoulder before slowly circling behind him. "What do you think of battle plans made in conjunction with visions from the future?"

"That they have their uses in certain circumstances." He replied.

"Mhm. Of course, not everyone is willing to make such use of the Force. It also has certain dangers... those visions are never certain. Still, it's an exciting opportunity, no?" She leaned down a bit closer to his face, then extended a hand towards the mask. "May I?"

He nodded and handed the mask to her, "It has certain utility... marginal at times, but even that can be leveraged for an advantage given the right conditions."

"Exactly. Now, considering your situation, I hope you have some influence with the Ministry of War, and perhaps they could be amenable to the idea." She raised the mask, and tried to put it on. "You have failed your master the last time." She said in a deep, mocking voice.

"There are many voices that vie for the ears of my master. Many are quite compelling in nature... I'm sorry if I have missed what in your request would compel me to think that it would require his attention." He replied with a charming smile.

"No worries, I can forgive you being mesmerized by my beauty." She smirked, still holding the mask. "So... what would clean your ears out."

He chuckled, "I'm a man motivated by utility. What is it that could be of use to me? What is it you could offer for me to be willing to help you? I know very little about you besides your beautiful face."

"Oh so hard to please. Not a pleasant quality in a man." She said in mock seriousness as she turned and sat down on the desk that was next to Sylvain's chair. "Besides potential use of my Foresight, alongside some support from House Okatesh, you mean?"

"Sorry to disappoint, I can be quite easy to please in the right circumstances; but business tends to require a bit more critical consideration." He smiled.

"Support from an influential house is indeed a useful thing to have, but the forms that support can take must be taken into the equation. What concrete benefits could be gained from House Okatesh?" He asked with a smile.

"Disappointing a lady, how rude." She said lightly. "Well then...we will support one of your motions in relation to the status of war in the Empire. Or." She leaned in towards him. "We will pry our skills for the future and give you advice on one topic. This isn't just me, a novice Seer, Torsin. This is Hosue Okatesh."
