What a day it had been! The space station, the inquisitor, and then the epic adventure of a lifetime. He could hardly believe it. In fact he had still been bubbling with enthusiasm when he grabbed Gerry to bring him along for the next exciting part of the day.

It was time. He had been planning this for ages.

Jo'ren almost glided through the halls until they reached their destination: the tool shop. It was the mechanics bay for the school, providing facilities for staff and students alike. He whistled as they entered.

"Shit, this place is awesome. What do you think Gerry?"

(OOC: I don't like closed threads, so please just give me a bit of time to get this one under way if you are planning on stopping in :) )

Gerald smiles and says, “You’re in a good mood… but then you are always in a good mood. How can I help buddy?”

"That's because I'm high on life my friend." He clapped Gerry on the back. "Check out what I've been up to."

The big red guy walked over to the main work bench and sat down. Then he started delving into the pockets of his utility belt and clothing, pulling out all of the pieces he had gathered over the last three days since they had arrived. The assorted components gathered from the spaceport. The bits of broken black hilt that had belonged to a long-dead Sith apprentice, the crystal that had come from it. The complete but non-functional 'saber that had been buried with 'Darth Jerkface'.

"I've been busy Gerry, real busy. Now then, how's about we build a lightsaber?"

Gerald blinks and says, “Damn man, that is amazing. Well with all this if you assist me we could get this one working or do you want to build a brand new one?”

Jo'ren grinned. "I'm thinking I'd like to build a brand new one for my big hands, and that I've got enough material to build a double-bladed saber." He looked at the one that had belonged to the Darth. "Wonder if this one just got too much sand in it? Let's take a look at the crystal."

Then he remembered the missing component in all of this. "Oh yeah, that's the other thing we need."

Carefully he reached into an inside pocket and removed a triangular device: a Sith holocron. He reached out and placed it on the work bench in front of them. "This is on loan from Overseer Thaine. She seems to like me. Figured it would help."

With a grin for his friend Jo'ren reached towards it. "May as well turn it on and see what it has to say."

“This is the second holocron I have seen in as many days,” he says with wonder.

“Yeah turn it on!”

"Pretty tantalising huh? Brace yourself." With a grin he activated it as Rona had shown him, and it crackled to life revealing...

“These are the words of Lord Tano, Conqueror of the Iridian Way, Lord of the Black Reach. I bought terror and I am the death of billions. You, supplicant have come to my holocron seeking knowledge, you are wise to do so,” the holocron Sith says.

Jo'ren was inwardly satisfied that it was a fellow sith.

"Greetings Lord Tano. I am Jo'ren Rath, and yes, I seek your knowledge. I wish to construct my own lightsaber. A double-bladed design to take advantage of my strength and dexterity. Will you aid me?"

"This is beneath me, but I shall instruct you, supplicant," the holocron replies.

"Thank you my Lord." He turned to Gerald. "Let's do this."

He started arranging the pieces and cleaning them with a cloth where needed. He knew the sort of thing he wanted: it should be big enough to wield with one or both of his large hands, as a single or double blade.

It was exciting and he worked with Gerry, under the advice of Lord Tano, to make his vision become a reality. It took them around 4 hours to finish it.

It looked fantastic!

Gerald smiles and says, "That is the coolest thing I have ever seen. Oh man, you have a lightsaber!"

"I know, right!" Jo'ren thanked Lord Tano's holocron then turned it off. "This is freaking awesome. Thanks for your help."

He beamed at Gerald. "So, have you figured out what you want in exchange? Also we need to get started on your lightsaber lessons man."

"I don't know I was just helping you out, and yeah I plan to focus on that over the next few weeks," he says.

"Going to get better at the Lightsaber."
