There was a goal Kristal shared with every other aspirant here, earn herself a proper master. Now organizing a Library wasn't exactly the type of task one might have in mind when one thought of the types of things that might impress a master suitable to Kristal. However, there were people here. People with a task set before them. Be it a slave or an Imperial that would help her cause. This wasn't just a chance to aid in organizing the library. This was a chance to show just how well she could adapt, that she wasn't only useful on the battlefield itself. After all, who could dsipute that after she lead a small group of students to the Academy. Which, in part, played it's own part in why she wished to make attempts here to gain influence over her peers. Earlier robbed her of a chance to outperform others, but she could make up for that now by aiding Lord Zash. Falling a bit to peer pressure perhaps, Kristal aimed to bark orders at the slaves and Imperials alike. Commanding them to perform better without direction. It was an attempt that failed miserably. So much so that it soured a lot of the night for a good many people. However, despite those set backs in morale, Kristal never gave up. Digging through texts and sorting out some themselves she showed the Imperials beside her that she was determined to see the task done. In fact, she had made sure they saw her getting into the work just beside them. Inspiring those around them to pick up the slack by those less inspired and by that inspiring them. Until suddenly there was a small unit following Kristal. Working together in a harmony unlike the other groups in the room. It was honestly quite the sight to behold. Khalim had heard that Lord Zash may need some assistance in the Library, and so he sets off to see how he might be of assistance. After all, starting early by getting in the good graces of those he would be learning from seemed a good idea. After hearing what needs to be done, he sets to making sure that the servants properly know their places and their roles, and properly "motivates" them into doing their jobs. Being dressed in the finest Imperial fashion, and clearly knowing how to order servants to do whatever he wants, it's only a matter of moments before there's a scurry and the various Library staff get hurriedly to work. Even as they quickly work to do the bidding of the noble, it becomes quite clear that it's due to his threats of discipline if they do not, and not out of any loyalty or favor for the aspiring Sith. One particularly brazen servant decides to make his displeasure of the new noble's orders and "accidentally" dumps a cart full of books on the sith's feet. Or at least, he tries to. Being well versed in the manners of uppity servants, Khalim spots what is about to occur to him and harnesses the Force. Instead of landing on his feet as the slave intended, the books all fly off in different directions, placing themselves into the appropriate spots on the bookshelves. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Night at the Museum - Coercion: 3eA+1eP+2eD 5 successes, 2 advantage Night at the Museum - Leadership: 1eA+1eP+2eD 0 successes Night at the Museum - Move (Force): 1eF 1 Dark Side |

Post subject: | Re: [Day 1 - LE - Event] Night at the Museum |
Lord Zash had dramatically risen on Slyvain's personal list of wanted masters after meeting with her the previous night. Word reached him quickly that she was looking for help getting the help to listen to her orders. After greeting the Lord, he quickly began about the work of getting the library in shape. For years in his life he had ordered around servants and others, so this task came quite naturally to him. He spent sometime impressing on the help's fragile minds the reasons why they should consider carefully the consequences of angering Lord Zash. While the servants were quite convinced by the argument, they started to wonder why it was exactly they had to listen to this young noble gallivanting as someone important. As they began to slow down a bit, Sylvain turned gears a bit. He reconsidered they means by which they all were working and reconfigured the labor to better suit the task. He started pressing the help in a way that was inspiring and led them all to want to be better and was far more efficient than they had previously been doing. Yet, somehow there was something that just kept sticking in the servants' craw, even though efficiency was through the roof. One of the servants eventually spoke up, "Aren't you like 15 or something? Why are you talking like you own the place?" Sylvain responded to that outburst with a glare, "You think you shouldn't have to listen to me because I am young?" He smiled and drew closer to the servant, his eyes slowly burning a hole in the man's forehead. "Perhaps you would like to reconsider your comment?" Sylvain asked as he reached out to the man's mind with the force. The servant became noticeably uncomfortable, as if his mind began to burn from within him. Soon the man was on his knees, "Ye.... yes.... Lord Tarsin... you are right. I was remiss in my comment." Sylvain smiled grimly, "You are fortunate you are not my servant, or I would have one of your friends already out buying a replacement. I would hate to damage Lord Zash's property, so for today you live... I cannot speak for the next time you have an outburst, however." Looking back up at the others he was directing he said coolly but forcefully, "Now back... to... work..." The servants began to bustle around with greater haste than ever before. Xevine soon joined to aid the others and the Lord. Her skills at being a menacing alien came useful, and the slaves scurried away to help the great Lord. Alas the leadership skills of the Zabrak were found wanting, and Lord Zash wasn't impressed with her Education either. #1: Coercion (Willpower): Success Night at the Museum, D1 LE, Coercion (Willpower): 2eA+1eP+2eD 1 success, 1 advantage #2: Leadership (Presence): Failure Night at the Museum, D1 LE, Leadership (Presence): 2eA+2eD 1 failure #3: Failure Night at the Museum, D1 LE, Education (Intellece): 2eA+2eD 0 successes, 1 threat |

Foooweeee Rancor's arse was that was a long trek...but at least she got there in time to overhear discussions about the library and it's clean-up someone named Lord Zarr...Zach...Zash? Well that is certainly something Baesal could do and an opportunity she just could not miss both for the possible advancement and a first look at the place for scouting purposes... She arrived in the museum and, after some pointers on what should be done, she settled her datapad on an desk and plugged it to one of the library's terminal to begin some number crunching. museum night day1: first roll (intel/computer): 2eA+2eP+2eD 1 success, 1 advantage That was not her best work but it was sufficient for what came next museum night day1: second roll: intel/education: 4eA+0eP+2eD 4 successes, 1 threat While she was not educated in the imperial fashion...she was not educated in the imperial fashion and thus was not brainwashed. (Sure, why not XD) Following Sylvain and Kristal, Shaisha felt apprehensive of whether or not she would be of any help. After some thought, the idea of gaining some more favor with one who could possibly be a future master, and was already a Lord, outweighed her own feelings of inadequacy on the subject. Like a true Sith, Shaisha pressed the slaves to work better, lest they face the wrath of one born to the Dark Side of the Force. However, some of the other workers in the museum needed a more gentle touch, as she knew Sylvain would've said, and she tried to act more like a leader than just one far above them in the pecking order. She was used to thinking on the spot and take control of the moment, so her attempts at carefully instructing the workers in some intricate plan didn't go so well, and even earned her a few glares from those who had worked there probably longer than she had been at the Academy in total. Seeing that she wasn't getting anywhere further with those, she decided to help more directly herself rather entrusting the tasks to those beneath her. Sure, she had read books! Urgh... books. So boring. Still, she presevered, constantly reminding herself of the Torsin family's lectures on the values of academic knowledge. --- D1 Night at the Museum. Moyr came here for a totally different purpose... but she decided to play along. First, she turned herself into a charming, colourful social whirlwind that effectively organised the effort. Leadership: 1 success, 1 advantage She the sat by the computers and tried to figure out a few things about the cataloguing system... and what precious things it contained. But her dabbling in an unfamiliar software only made matters worse and caused some frustration. Computers: 1 failure, 1 threat She decided to bring it onto the slaves, but her emancipatory conscience struck in and she encouraged them more than coerced to work harder. Force: 1 Light Side - Success? Conflict? Strain? |

Remmington wanders by the museum and noticing the massive moving job that Lord Zash is undertaking, he decides to assist. Sitting down at a computer terminal he quickly manages her data files, not only moving them but also setting them up in an easy to use and understand way. He offers his own input into her scholastic endeavorrs and is perhaps a bit too effective for his own good as he educates the slaves about matters that they probably shouldn't know. Using the Force to enhance himself he helps physically move some things around although it creates some strain. Computers = 0 successes, 1 Triumph Education = 3 successes, 3 threat Force Enhance = 2 Light Side 1 Destiny Point used. 2 Strain taken. 3 successes I think? PF |

Post subject: | Re: [Day 1 - LE - Event] Night at the Museum |
Rumun was told that a Lord of the Sith needed some help with organizing the museum library of the academy. Datapads needed to be decrypted, old registers needed to be classified in correct order, and lore was to be organized in new, more efficient ways. This was the area of expertise of the duros. He presented himself to the young female lord, volunteering to the the tedious process of organizing and classifying the new and ancient sith lore. First the tall duros started presenting himself to the staff that was helping Lord Zash. Many were grumbling with being ordered by an alien, but Rumun presented a new way of organizing all the stuff. His method was consise, precise and very efficient and soon the workers noticed that the Duros was a good addition to this team effort. Then Rumun tried searching in the archives of the outer rim reaches. This was a hard work. Rumun's efforts were in vain, but at least his background help him, noticing very quickly that this approach was not helping. Better to try a different approach. Helping with some quick lectures in ancient lore to the staff, he achieve a faster clasification and record of all the archives. The staff under Zash worked very quickly with the necesary information. But perhaps he divulged a bit more that he should. Anyway, with Rumun's help the work at the museum library was faster and efficient. His efforts helped both Lord Zash and the Academy in general. ***************** [OOC - Rolls] D1 - Night at the Museum; Helping Lord Zash; Leadership 1/Presence 3; 2 Ability; 1 Proficiency; 2 Difficulty: 2eA+1eP+2eD 1 success, 2 advantage D1 - Night at the Museum; Helping Lord Zash; Knowledge: Outer Rim/Inteligence; 3 Ability Dice, 2 Difficulty; Researcher Talent half time: 3eA+2eD 0 successes D1 - Night at the Museum; Helping Lord Zash; Education/Intellect; 3 Ability Dice, 2 Difficulty: 3eA+2eD 3 successes, 2 threat 4 Successes, 2 Adavantages, 2 Threats. +1 Reputation |

So instead he tried to organize the files but they were already so well organized that all he did was make a mess of things. But surely he could display his book learning, except he just couldn’t make heads or tails of the matter at hand. Sith Lords and their artifacts was a glaring hole in his Education. After her successes of the morning, Grenda decided perhaps it would be a good idea to show willingness to help one of the Masters here. Perfect timing with Zash requiring work to be done. The Rodian menaced over . . . well perhaps not over, more like the servants looked down at a menacing Rodian and decided to work faster. A few pointed remarks and they became more efficient under her direction. Pity she didn't really know where exactly the books and crystals had to go exactly. She also managed to scare one of the servants so badly that they dropped a book on the Rodians foot. The withering stare told the servant her days were numbered. A true enemy had been made tonight. One does not simply drop a book on a Rodian's foot. /ooc Night at the Museum 1: Coercion: 2eA+2eD 3 successes, 2 threat Night at the Museum 2: Leadership: 2eA+2eD 1 success, 2 threat Night at the Museum 3: Outer Rim: 2eA+2eD 0 successes, 1 advantage Total: 4 Successes, 3 Threat. With how fast she'd managed to make it to the academy, Nunki wound up with quite a bit of free time on her first day. Now that most of the acolytes had arrived, however, she followed a small group of them to find Lord Zash and an army of slaves organizing the library. Seeing that perhaps her assistance was needed, she took a small group of slaves aside, leading them with efficiency, and using her force powers to get them to work faster. And with this group working at what she believed to be their peak, she sat herself at a computer, and although she herself was inexperienced with the program used here, she mastered it quickly, but came out of an intense evening of work with a massive headache...
