This had been the hardest part of his time in the academy so far. All of the reading. It pissed him off to no end. He understood why it was important but it was so... damn... boring. Currently he was finishing up writings about the ability to sense the thoughts and intentions of others through the force. He had put a lot of effort of the past few weeks figuring it out after learning of it's usefulness in combat situations. That instructors who know how to do it showed excellent reaction times that went beyond being simple reading of opponents. He knew he wanted to master that ability and he put a great deal of emphasis on... boring the hell out of himself. But when he sparred with others, his understanding of that aspect of the force was the reward he had been looking for.

As a side benefit, he was able to more appropriately navigate social situations based on the feelings of others. There was a lot of rage at this academy. He liked feeling it. It was a pleasant sensation.

The duros with a bad reputation also comes to the Museum library to study. He was particularly intrigued by the biology of the Tuk'ata and other fauna that lives on Korriban.

He brought the datapad that Lord Zash had advised him to read about culinary applications of grilled tuk'ata meat, written by Lord Theon, and also the datapad that contained information about the fauna of Korriban.

Rumun heard that there was a giant Tuk'ata living in some part of the valley of the darklords and he thought that perhaps he could capture him alive, instead of killing it. Bold thinking, but if he could do that, it would be an impressive achievement.

The sith-blood sees the Duros and looks at him for a moment before looking down at his datapad, returning to his reading.

Layne, the Little Wrath, surprisingly made an appearance in the library as well. And she was actually reading stuff as well, go figure. It was an eclectic collection of material she busied herself with. Lightsaber crystals, ancient droid technology, historical accounts of the Sith, historical accounts of the Jedi. Not that she understood even half of the things she was reading; but a start was a start.

She took notice of the two aliens, looking up at them for a moment.

Jerkface and... who?

And the hothead is here too. Meh.

He continues his studies unless someone approaches him.

Xevine approached her Duros... miniallyfriend. She saw the one with the black saber... she must have stolen it.

She also waves to Zeno, but settles down next to Ruman. "So, as I mentioned, what I'd be looking for is the size of a truck and has a deep growl." Hopefully the very exact details will help Ruman.

'' Ah, Lady Distraacht. How pleasant is to see you today. '' Rumun stands up and bow to Xevine.

'' Yes, I'm been searching in the datapads that I acquired from the museum library but information about the tuk'ata is both rare and very vague, unfortunately'' He told Xevine, showing her several holographic images of what little information he has found.

'' I guess that our quest for detailed information will be a bit time consuming. But don't worry, I'm sure that if we work together we will discover the secrets of these magnificent creatures.'' The duros smiles.

He resumes his research about the tuk'atas, picking every piece of information, anything that relate to these creatures. From biological to more esoteric datapads. It doesn't matter how 'inconsequential' the pieces of information may look like. Rumun collects everything.

It's like a puzzle. A puzzle that needs to be solved so as to kill, or better capture, that ancient and powerful tuk'ata.

[OOC]

I will use two or more timeslots for researching the info to get a boost dice.
Xev assistance should add another one. Not sure how many can be added this way.
My Researcher talents should reduce any Setback by 2 and reduce the time by half.

Rumun tries his best to collect every piece of information he founds. This was hard work, really hard. There was almost nothing writen about the tuk'ata.

After some very long hours of work, Rumun began to notice that the research was going to nowhere. The information he collected was very vague, almost if the Siths were ommiting on purpose any reference of those creatures. Even with Xevine assistance the research was going to fail.

Rumun leaned back for a moment. He began to think in something. The sith didn't want that the tuk'ata information was accesible for the general public. They didn't want that their tombs secrets be revealed. As guardians of the sith tombs, any vital information about the tuk'ata probably was censored in order to protect the tombs from plunder. It made sense. The sith were (and still are) jeolous people because oof the nature of the darkside.

It's almost as they are testing anyone who tries to discover their old secrets. If you want any information, yo have to test your bravery, cunning or raw power against the guardians.

You do think that you can probably lure him out with an offering of a force user as bait...

Rumun thinks about the nature of the tuk'ata. As creatures that, probably, feed from the force, perhaps a bait of a force sensitive could yield some results, making him move away from his shelter to the outside where it can be killed. He is not completly sure about it, the information that made him think of that was quite vague, but it was the best that the duros could think of

'' Lady Distraacht, I have made a theory. Although the information that help me achieve such idea is not very convincing'' Rumun told Xevine.

Xevine listened. "If that is what you found, that could be useful. Give me what you know Aspirant. And when you're done, there's another matter in relation... how are you with ship mechanics?"

''Information about the tuk'ata clearly is rare and vague. Why? Well probably it has been omitted from records because ,as legends tell, they were created to guard the tombs of the Dark Lords. They probably didn't want anyone discovering a weakness on their guardians so as to avoid plundering by those who are not 'worthy'.''

He continues.

''Now, I did found a very vague reference of their feeding patterns. Or the lack of them. Afterall, if the tombs are sealed and never explored, how the tuk'ata are sustaining themselves? As the rumours tell, they are feeding directly from the force. The tombs of the dark lords usually are surrounded by darkside energy. If that's true, then, perhaps, one can lure the tuk'ata out of their shelters by offering a sacrifice, a bait of sorts, a force sensitive being. As they feed from the force, luring them with their source of nourishment could work''

'' This is all theoretical though, there's no reference to practical use of this idea''

'' I'm afraid that I don't have the attitudes for mechanics, my Lady. I could help, but I don't know technical information about that topic'' The duros sincerely answered to her question.
