The Dark Academy on Korriban

"Malyna, a woman I ran into aboard Sadow's Rage*. By her words she is a merchant, but I do not believe it is something so simple. There is something she is blatantly hiding." Kristal shook her head, "Regardless, the one in the Cantina is the threat. This Malyna is just a curiosity at most."

"I'm still a bit surprised over the whole thing; the disturbance in the Force, the power, and the Overseer too..." Shaisha let her gaze linger on the horizon, in the direction of the Valley of the Dark Lords.

"Guess our last days here as aspirants will be full of surprises."

"Yep, so not even," he said with a chuckle.

"But your path will likely take you down more cerebral paths. But you need to make sure you're prepared to survive before you can walk them. Perhaps you can build yourself some combat droids to defend you?" Zeno asks, curious what the man thinks of that.

“I had not thought of that, well maybe I can do that. But first thing I need to hit the refresher, talk to you later Zeno, you to Shaisha,” he said warmly.

Zeno nods to Gerald as he heads off. "Later."

"It was something unlike what I have previously experienced," she said as she followed Shaisha's gaze for a moment but then looked back to the young Sith.

"They will, but then we knew it would be so. Like our adventures have always been."

"..." She wasn't sure if it was anything like she had experienced before. There were some hazy and odd memories from her childhood, that she sometimes wondered might've been dreams or imaginations instead.

"It's certainly out of the ordinary. Still, if what we saw is any indication of raw power, it might explain the elevation of status."

"It would explain it, a risk but a worthy one. If that power could be molded properly, taken out of the hands of a beast and placed into those of a thinking individual." Kristal looked off, just below the horizon toward the rolling wastes that surrounded them. At least as far as she could. Re-adjusting her arms that remained crossed behind her back.

"At some point you may no longer train a beast and must simply make the leash shorter," she offered as a thought. Leaving the indication in her tone that she was unsure if that was true for Layne just yet. Always allowing for the chance that someone might redeem themselves.

With Gerald gone the sith-blood turned his attention to the other aspirants present. "Shaisa," he says with a nod to the woman he already knew.

"I doubt anyone can tame that one," she chuckled dryly.

"Deathwright," she nodded in return. "Kristal, this is Zeno Deathwright. Deathwright, this is Kristal Serasai."

There. Introductions were made.

"A pleasure," he says in Kristal's direction. "How did you fare on the run here?"

As it had been two separate conversations, Kristal hadn't acknowledged the other Acolyte in their midst when she had properly approached. Part due to her appraisal of him earlier. Not even as he made his leave did he appear to make even a blip on her radar, that was how it appeared.

With the introductions Kristal offered a solid nod to the half-born. Offering the greeting that suited her nature far better.

"Fine enough. The trek took me about two hours... guess I was being too cautious in an envoirenment I knew well to avoid being the first one to reach the Academy," she shrugged with a small smirk.
