Combat Exam

Event Type: Mandatory
Participants: All
Timeslots: Late Morning to Mid Afternoon.

Reputation Affected: Yes
Description: This event is broken up into three separate events that comprise the whole event. The three events are Combat Exam, Knowledge Exam, and Force Exam; these exams are each off three times in the day one in the Late Morning, one in the Early Afternoon and one in the Mid Afternoon time slot.

Exams in the Late Morning time slot have a Difficulty of Easy. Exams in the Early Afternoon have a difficulty of Average, and the Exams in Mid Afternoon are Hard difficulty. There are two rolls made per time slot. Each exam has a different set of rolls to be made. Players must complete all rolls.

Options for skills: Lightsaber is mandatory for one of the two Combat skills, Gunnery is not acceptable as a combat skill. You can not do any skill more than once. You need a success on the roll for it to count and that grants an Exam point. If a Triumph is rolled that is also a success on the Lightsaber roll it counts as two Exam points. Any threat rolled is taken as Strain damage. A Despair turns strain damage into wounds at a minimum of 1 wound. If a Triumph is rolled for a non-Lightsaber skill it is a success even if it would normally fail, it has no added bonus if the roll is success.

Today was a strange day. Rumun can feel it. Something in the air. There was something, something that was trying to warn the duros. Something was going to happen today.

'' I have a bad feeling about this...'' He said.

Alright then, first test. Lightsaber skill.

He was not a fighter. Everyone could see that. The duros moved the training lighsaber like an idiot. There was no balance, no gracefulness, there was absolutely nothing to speak about his skills. At the end of the test, he felt exhausted mentally.

Second test. Melee.

Paired in combat, long story short. the other acolyte beat the crap out of Rumun.

Nunki knew the combat exams would be the most difficult for her to overcome. She went there first, in hopes she could get it out of the way quickly + easily and move on with the rest of her day.

She may have gotten it done quickly, but not very easily, letting her guard down one too many times. Despite her relative success on her Lightsaber test, she did not pass overall.

It was his weakest Exam, he was not a combatant and he tried but he failed to display any skill at the Lightsaber… the day was not off to a good start. At least he was able to show success with the hand to hand combat.

OOC: 1 Exam points.

In the late afternoon heat, Jun-Tsu stood beneath the wispy clouds in her draped obsidian robes. Her veil set in place, she looked, as ever, the picture of one of the ancient temple vestals. She watched with a keen, hawkish gaze. Silver eyes ringed in red, and looking all the paler because of the sun. Her unflinching, eerie gaze penetrated each contender that had chosen the morning hours to complete their combat exams.

When, at last, the field was empty, she waved off the offer of a training saber and instead reached beneath her concealing robes to her back. There, beneath the robes and occluded by her veil she unsheathed her antique Sith blade.

There, facing her opponent, at a clear disadvantage, she canted her head to the side and stared unblinkingly at them. Then, in a flash she set upon them. Though the fellow aspirant flailed with the laser-sword, Jun-Tsu dodged the wild swings without so much as a glance to her opponent. It was as if she could see them coming, and found herself in just the right place to sidestep the blows. The exam was finished almost before it had begun with her unblinking gaze staring at her opponent as her blade rested at his waist.

As they separated Jun-Tsu was directed to a rack of weapons. Passing over the pistols and other munitions, she instead reached for a force pike. Her lips curved slightly seeing the weapon remembering all those lessons she had missed on how to properly wield such an elegant implement. Still, she knew it well enough.

Turning she set to face her opponent. Though this conflict was more protracted, with a gauging and cautious circling. She nevertheless did so with all the feigned ease and dignity that one of a Sith lineage was to affect. Her voluminous robes and draping veil whirled and whipped in the growing wind, causing her silhouette to dance and as her opponent set to strike at her, it gave just the right distraction. His attacks hit nothing save the fabric while she spun away. Again her movements almost seemed to predict her opponent's moves, and stepping back she used the reach of her pike to jut forward spiking into her opponent, the vibro field shredding the acolytes robes and biting deeply into his armor. The Farro style had been well represented today, though she wondered how successful a true master would have been.

Niriti had no confidence in her martial skills. She had not much use of combat when she preferred to dominate and mentally control, but understood that she would have to learn to fight. She had learned the basics of lightsaber before so it wasn't very difficult for her to pass on the combat exam.

Baesal really was'nt sure about this. She had a basis in lightsaber battle but she just was'nt physically impressive and people were likely to be purposefully picky.

Heh, here goes nothing

Bummer

But then she saw something on the corner of the table...Mock grenades!

Grinning wide she took them for her second test and her enthousiasm proved to carry her through!

Boom-Boom-Boom!

In the darkness of the late morning... Sarna was already learning to hate the war between clocks and daylight on Korriban.

[Narrative to come.]

OOC:
Roll 1: Lightsaber, 1 failure, 1 advantage.
Roll 2: Ranged Light, 3 successes.
