The Dark Academy on Korriban

“Yeah going to need to find a main system,” she replies and gets in the speeder.

With a nod Jo'ren got in and drove them over to the main crash site. It didn't take them long.

"Okay, given that missing section what's going to be the best point of entry?" He stated looking at the buried ship and pulled out his shovel. Then looked at his lightsaber, shrugged and looked at Reasons.

“I suggest you cut a new hole with that light sword,” she says to Jo’ren.

He shrugged and pulled out Darth Jerkface's lightsaber. It reminded him he hadn't gotten back to Thy yet.

"Okay, based on the schematics... How about here." With a steady hand he opened up the ship, making enough room for himself and the smaller Mandalorian.

After about ten minutes of work he has cut a hole large enough for them to enter. It is dark inside except for the shaft of light from the hole he cut. The interior of this chamber looks to be a storage area. By the smell and proliferation of mold… some kind of organic material or old foodstuffs.

Jo'ren dialled his goggles to low light. "If you find a light switch tell me before you flick it." Don't just say you will like Kalen...

"Research vessel stores then. Long range I guess it this was just for one person. See if you can get the door open, otherwise I can carve us a new one." Dropping his defense sense he called on the force to Sense out into the vessel, and it responded strongly.

Day 8. Falcon 3. Sense: 1eF 2 Dark Side

Life was abundant inside but simple, there was no advance life in here. Reasons nodded and worked on the door applying small shaped charges that burst the door open with a low pop. She pushes it apart with her hands and then steps through into a hallway. The orientation of the ship looks like it hit at about forty-five degree angle into the ground.

She gestures and says, “The bridge is down there.”

"Nice work. Okay, I'll set up a rope in case something weird happens.". He tried off his length of route so it could help them clamber into the depths or back up a bit more easily.

"Let's see what we can see on the bridge."

The bridge door is easily forced open with some strength and then the small compartment is opened to them. Much of it is filled with sand and dirt that tumbles back into the hall along with a bones and tattered rags. Humanoid but not human.

"Okay, guess I'm shoveling again then." Jo'ren carefully got to work excavating the cockpit and the bones of the Jedi Master, or whoever it was. He supposed there would be a lightsaber around here somewhere if it was, which would have excited him a few weeks ago. Now it was simply a means of reference.

"Hopefully we can access the main computer.". Maybe he had a store of credits around here too. You never knew. It might keep Reasons happy.

She steps back and keeps her senses alert for angers while Jo’ren digs. It takes some time but she has enough out to access the bridge/cockpit. It’s a mess but Reasons says, “I can work with this.”

There was barely a sweat on his brow despite the efforts. "Nice, over to you then. I'll keep watch."

He shifted his senses into combat mode and let the Mandalorian do her thing. They were quite the team.

The Mandalorian sets up a small generator and starts plugging in and says, “Salvaging ships don’t seem like Sith work, seems a bit mundane for you folks.”

Jo'ren shrugged. "Thing is this is Korriban, so pretty much everything here was either Sith or Jedi. You never know what you'll find on these things."

His own adventures were testament to that. He watched her work away at hooking up the power. "You mentioned finding a signature. What was it exactly?"

“Faint distress beacon, betting there are intermittent power spikes. Looked like noise, cleaned it up. Here I am,” she says in response.

"Gotcha.". Leaving her to her work he looked back up the corridor and noting whether there were any additional doors off it. Based on the description of the ship it ought to have sleeping quarters, and maybe an engine room and hold as well. Although the hold might have been the room full of mold.

“Be awhile, check the rest of the ship,” she says.

"Alright, I'm on it.". He climbed up the tilted corridor and moved over to the first door he came to. If he couldn't prise it open with brute strength he would use the universal door opener.

The universal door opener is very universal. This opens into what looked like a small lab but is now just a jumbled mess of junk and shattered hull.

Jo'ren took a look around to see if anything had survived the crash, like a datapad or a secure locker. "Hmm, well this looks junked." If nothing useful remained then he would move on to the next room and open it up.

He hears the Mandalorian shout, “Almost got it, keep checking.”

"On it." Jo'ren moved on to the next room to see if it had survived the impact any better than the smashed-up lab.

This looks like a small meditation chamber and bedroom. A small bed sits against the wall covered in dust and debris. It seems to have fared better than the other chamber. Several broken datapads lay on the floor along with a device that looks like a sith holocron.

"..."

Moving into the room he gathered up the datapads and tucked them into his backpack. Might be something salvageable by his Mandalorian slicer friend. That done he breathed out slowly and picked up the device that looked like a Sith holocron. Now why would a Jedi Master have one of these?

It seems inert and damaged, but that is an interesting question. The Mandalorian says, “I got power, you ready?”
