Post subject:  [D7 - EM/EA*] Stupid Idea

*For now this thread will take 4 timeslots. That could change depending on the rolls, tuk'ata eating me, or research, plundering of the Dark Lord's tombs, etc

Rumun makes his mind. He needs a lightsaber. It is the basic weapon of a Sith. Everyone has one, except him. So where to find components and the knowledge to built one? The Valley of the Dark Lords, yes there...

He knows it is a dangerous idea, probably a fatal one, but desesperation is growing in him.

After securing a speeder from a weak willed soldier, he travelled alone to the valley of the dark Lords. The travel was without any event, the day is dry, the climate is hot but no so much.

After arriving at the valley, Rumun hides the speeder (he don't want it to be stolen), he began his lone quest to find the neccesary parts for the lightsaber, looking around from junk and parts, lost from a bygone age.

He spent, nearly four hours to get what he needs. Digging around, looking for parts long forggoten and full of dust.

Hate.

Rumun's hate is driving him into this quest. 'You are weak' said Zash. Was he weak? Or was the sith order and their dogmatic views weak? No, the Sith were the ones that were weak. Clinging to their ancient, obsolete and stagnant ways, using connections and family ties to improve their position. He hates that. Most of his failures were not because of lack of skill. He failed because of others, yes. That was the main reason. If that was the reason of his failures, he is going to destroy it.

The former alien slave either will prove that he is correct, or die trying. There's no middle ground. Not anymore.

The duros finds about 200 credits worth of parts around this area in the desolate valley. It is bright and yet oppressive and lonely.

Post subject:  Re: [D7 - EM/EA*] Stupid Idea

After obtaining the parts he needs, Rumun moved them to the hidden speeder, to keep them safe.

Now, this was just the beggining. He moved deeper into the valley of the Dark Lords in search for knowledge and wisdom. He started with a research about the ancient sith tombs.

Of course he knows the tombs of the greater dark lords, like Ajunta Pall, Exar Kun, Naga Sadow, Marka Ragnos, Ludo Kressh, Freedon Nadd, etc. He is looking for something else, perhaps, something that could guide him into greater power so as to destroy what he feels is the cause of his misfortunes.

The duros did not find any useful clues but he does find what looks like burial mound to some unknown sith. It does not seem as old or as prestigious as the others maybe six hundred years, maybe less. A carcass lies nearby and scavengers pick at it.

OOC: 1 failure and 4 Adavntage total.

From a safe distance Rumun scan the area with his macrobinoculars. He tries to identify what type of creatures are scavenging the carcass, and from what creature the carcass was.

'' A mound? 600 hundred years old more or less?'' He comments as he tries to identify the creatures.

***********************

[OOC]

Do I need a Xenology roll here? Or I can identify them? Maybe I read about them, from the Korriban's fauna datapad that I borrowed.
Stupid question: Are they dangerous?

Author:  Dapper Dog [ Sat Oct 29, 2016 4:24 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: [D7 - EM/EA*] Stupid Idea

The carcass is just some large prey creature, nothing special. The scavengers are tuk’ata, three of them, tearing off bits of flesh.

Author:  Rumun Gol [ Sat Oct 29, 2016 4:37 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: [D7 - EM/EA*] Stupid Idea

Rumun knows he can't fight against three tuk'ata... not directly.

He looks around with his macrobinoculars for something that could help him to scare away the scavengers. He has some ideas that involve the use of the force.

*********************

[OOC]

Several questions:

1) Is there a weak or damaged pillar or column that I can move with the force?, collapsing and crush it on the three tuk'ata and kill them
2) Can I force move the carcass away from the entrance of the burial mound so as to also make the tuk'ata move away?
3) Is this burial mound a darkside vergence?
4) tuk'ata can be influenced with the force?

Post subject:  Re: [D7 - EM/EA*] Stupid Idea

The creatures seemed content to eat the carcass and have not noticed him, yet.

Post subject:  Re: [D7 - EM/EA*] Stupid Idea

First Rumun need to be certain about the nature and existance of force power around the area. He sat down, calmly closed his eyes and tried to enter in resonance with the flow of the force. Dark thoughts, old grudges, hate, anger, suffering... he tries to embrace those feelings. He tries to feel if there is any vestige of the darkside around this area.

I don't know what skill should be used here, Discipline? Lore? Cool?

So the darkside is strong in the area. He didn't have to many options but he was determined. Fortune favors the bold, right?

He moves a bit closer. Not so far and not so close. The duros tries to enter in communion with the darkside. He concentrates and targets the biggest of the three tuk'ata and uses the force to make him believe that the other two tuk'ata are his enemies...

He tries to force his will into the tuk'ata's mind. One big tuk'ata against two smaller ones, he thinks is a fair fight.

The larger tuk’ata notices one of the smaller one pulling a larger piece and it snap at it, they tussle and before long all three are quarreling. The larger one chases off the smaller ones and then begins to drag the carcass elsewhere.

It seems greed is common in all things.

Post subject:  Re: [D7 - EM/EA*] Stupid Idea

Rumun looks with joy how the three creatures quarrel about that carcass.Yes, it seems that greed is an universal emotion for all beings. The Duros waits until the three tuk'ata are far away and then walks closer into the entrance of the burial mound.

He tries to see if there some markings or symbols that identify the burial mound.

Rumun looks with intent any markings or symbols that probably are all around the burial mound. Trying to identify who is the one buried here or how old this thing is. As a trained researcher this was fascinating for him...

It takes mere seconds for the Duros to assess this must be the burial chamber of Lord Grenya, a togruta who found the Sith path and made the journey to Korriban based on her dreams.

'' So, Lord Grenya's final rest place. Well, I'm already here, let's see the inside...'' Rumun talks to himself as he entered the burial mound.

He took out his comlink so as to create a, meager, lightsource and his handheld scanner to investigate the structure.

With all his excitement he forgot about the entrance door. The duros path was blocked and he hit his head with the door.

'' Ouch! Idiot! Haha... '' He laughed at his stupidity.

'' Right, the door...'' He closed his eyes an tried to move it with the force.

'' Ah, Greetings Lord Hruk, how have you been?''

'' Well, you are right at the entrance of the final rest place of Lord Grenya.'' He told them. No point in lying with a lightsaber at his back. '' But I have failed to open the entrance, I'm affraid.''

'' May I ask why are you here, My Lady?''
