The speeder kicked up a trail of dust as he left the Academy headed for the spaceport. He had a lot on his mind today, it had been a strange one. Jo'ren still could not believe his failure with the blade, it was really winding him up. Of course he was also proud of his performance with the force, but failures in the physical realm did not sit well with him.

At least his other plans were coming to fruition. A brief message to Kalen saying this evening instead had given him some extra time, and then Gerry had gone and done exactly what he said he could, no questions asked. That at least drew a smile. As did the thought of the Overseer barely registering a single fuck about letting him sign out all of that equipment for a couple of days. Although, he had a suspicion that when she looked at him she was thinking about more than a single fuck. Still, maybe that would be fun too...

Eventually he arrived at the spaceport, parked up, and locked it. He walked around the stalls, looking the various wares and waiting for Kalen to arrive.

Kalen swaggered up, this time backed by a rather tall furry humanoid creature carrying a datapad. The furry creature stood well over 2 meters in height and they were having a conversation that consisted of growls and guttural howls and Basic from Kalen. Kalen smiled and said, “Jo’ren, let me introduce you to my Technical Specialist, Gor’bezra.”

Gor’bezra gave a guttural greeting.

“She’s excited about this venture, did you get what we needed?” he added.

"Good grief, you look handy to have around." He gave a nod of his head to the giant furball. "Nice to meet you too. Gor'bezra, is that right?" Jo'ren wasn't great at alien accents but did at least try them out so as to blend in, unlike many purebloods. They might be genetically inferior, but that didn't mean aliens were of no use. On the contrary...

"So am I Kalen, so am I. The first of many." He smiled at the pair, but watched the twi'lek closely and nodded. "I am as good as my word."

“Good, hand it over to Gor’bezra, she can verify it and if that checks out we are all systems go. It’s always good to work with a fellow professional,” he said with a warm praise.

(OOC: Spending a Destiny point for the general reason of making this a genuine alliance rather an opportunity for betrayal :P)

Jo'ren pulled out the data chip that Gerry had made for him and passed it to Gor'bezra. "When I say I'm going to do something, I get it done.". There was a touch of pride in his voice. "Sounds like there's a storm coming in tomorrow, although the Deep Wilds might be fine. I don't think they bother reporting the weather out there."

He smiled easily.

"Of course that could give us some additional cover for the operation. Where do you wish to meet? Here or at the site?"

Kalen smiled as the wookie took the information. He said, “Hey, I wasn’t doubting you, just glad that I have a good eye for talent. We should meet at the location can you get out there on your own or need us to pick you up somewhere, it’s a long trip from here and with this we have freedom to move.”

Jo'ren grinned. "That you do my friend, that you do." He thought about the best plan of attack, remembering his trip in from the Near Wastes. "Okay, I can easily borrow a speeder and get out to the Wastes. There's a series of canyons just around the point where they don't actively patrol, so it would make for a good place to pick me up. Have you got a datapad handy? I can show you the coordinates."

(OOC: I figure this way I can take the speeder out and still save the time slot that would be required to take it all the way to the Deep Wastes. Does that work okay for you?)

Kalen listened and then glanced to the wookie who then handed Jo’ren a datapad and gave a guttural sound of thanks probably.

Kalen said, “I think that’s a good plan.”

A droid approached the group and stood next to Kalen and said, “Statement: The quality of small arms at this location is pitiful. These meatbags have no understanding of overwhelming firepower. This will greatly reduce my capability of liquidating our enemies.”

“Jo’rean, this is HK, HK this is Jo’ren.”

HK said, “Salutation: greetings, meatbag Jo’ren.”

OOC: That works.

"Alright then, great, we're good to..."

Meatbags?

Jo'ren watched the droid's approach with an amused gleam in his eye. An Assassin droid of some sort then.

"Greetings, HK droid. You know, I've been called a lot of things, but never 'meatbag' by a droid. By girls, yes.". He shrugged in a what-can-you-do manner, then smiled at the group. "Heh. This is going to be fun!"
