The sith woman parried the strike with her sith blades there is sparks but it holds as she stakes the opportunity to throw back the attack and make a deadly one of her own.

The sith woman catches Layne’s strike with her blades and twists sending the lightsaber clattering to the floor. She coughed blood and said, “Now you die, my love.”

OOC: Sith Ghost takes another strain/wound, Layne is Disarmed of the Lightsaber. Adversary 1, Melee Defense 1.

She made a quick split-second decision to do an athletic roll toward the fallen weapon in order to retrieve it; and smoothly turning the acrobatic display into a renewed strike against the insane spectre, blade sparking and whirring again.

Layne rolled and the sith woman charges and the slash bisects her and the look of shock is frozen on her face as she shatters into dark side energy. She is alone, breathing heavily but the scars and cuts remain… it was all so real.

Just the hum of her lightsaber fills the chamber.

She closed her eyes for a moment and exhaled slowly... very slowly.

Then she opened them again, and takes another look around the room; to see either if there were any other dangers lurking, or if there was anything else there of use.

((I just noticed after rolling that it should have been 1 ability and 1 proficiency dice; same for the initiative Cool roll (but given that the ghost went first I don't think that one needs any do-over); I apologize. Do I re-roll, or take away the ability dice with 2 sux so I reduce by 1 strain? (I don't remember if advantage also reduces strain))

There is little of value left unless she wanted to loot the sealed tomb of Hania. Lord Oshin appeared near the sarcophagus and said, “It is done then, my weakness is absolved.”

OOC: It is a simple mistake and at this point he combat scene is over, no worries.

She turned to her ancestor's spectre.

"I thought you said Hania was the mother of your line," she said, voice firm.

"I wanted her to be... In my heart," he says solemnly.

"She died before it could be so. You are still my blood and my legacy is now revitalized. History is not what is recorded those are just stories for those who come after."

Great, so I killed... I double-killed... one ancestor to please the other

Well, whatever. She'd won; and now had a fancy lightsaber. One that didn't seem like any of the others she'd seen or heard about. She raised the blade up, looking at the black void it generated once more.

"This isn't like any I know of."

"Ajunta Pall anointed me his champion, the crystal was found on what you call Ziost," he says looking at his lightsaber.

Ziost; the name meant nothing to her. She had no knowledge of the world, but that wasn't particularly unusual.

"So what makes it different from others? I thought they were all red, or blue."

“It’s the crystal, the Jedi cultivate their crystals from the planet of Ilum, it’s a right of passage to find one’s crystal. My first lightsaber was green, which just tends to be one of the more common colors. I have seen orange… yellow, purple, and many shades in between. Red for whatever reason is associated with the Dark side, not sure why honestly,” Lord Oshin replies.

“This one… my lightsaber, and now yours is rare. Cherish it.”

Everyone better be damn impressed with it

She allowed her gaze to move around the room again, falling on the sealed sarcaphagus.

"I don't suppose there's anything of value in there, and that you'd let me take itm right?"

"There is everything of value in there, but nothing you would desire," he says.

"Everyone lies, flesh of my flesh. Some lies are for others and some are for ourselves."

"...Fine," she said, and started heading back to the speeder.

She'd gotten what she needed; and the sarcophagus was probably empty, she figured. When she was back in the main chamber, a vague idea popped into her head.

((any chance I could take the broken-ass droid with me? Or like, its datacore?))

The broken droid is easily taken, it's not very functional.

And with that done, she would head back to the academy. Leaving her ancestor's citadel behind her.
