As dusk settled over the Academy, two figures had left the grounds. Atop their speeder, they had spent much of what little light they had getting to the Deep Wilds. With only light packs and the armaments they were able to carry, they headed into the crimson wasteland in search of their quarry. Jun-Tsu peered up at a promontory from their place at its base. She did not look the controlled, vestal-like creature of the past few weeks. She threw off her black robes, and her veil, to reveal little more than loose garments and a headdress. Her normally covered hair fell down her back in flaming red waves that stood out against her pale skin and charcoaled eyes. On her back, half covered by her hair was her ancient Sith sword, resting in its sheath. "Ve must zeek vorthy prey. Zhe greater zhe prey zhe more powverful zhe ritual." |

Zeno also got off the speeder, moving to stand across from her. He sat a bag on the ground that contained all the supplies that she had told him to bring for the ceremony. He removed his jacket and tossed it onto the speeder revealing his scars for the desert. He unsheathed his sword in one hand and retrieved his crystal with the other from his utility belt. There was a lightsaber hilt on the opposite hip from his sword's scabbard. A fine looking shoto hilt. He had a pleased smile, as he looked at the witch. |

OOC: Beginning the Hunt, give me a Survival or Xenology roll at Average difficulty, may add Force to this and spend Dark points to add success or advantage; I am spending a Destiny to raise the stakes and upgrade the difficulty. |

Knowledge: Xenobiology (Intellect) - 1eP+2eA+1eC+2eD+2eB+1eF = 3 successes, 2 Dark Side (5 successes) (I miss rolled the difficulty dice so I re-rolled them here. Take whatever results or combination thereof that you think is appropriate. In either case we succeed) Jun-Tsu set off towards the high canyonside. It would be a great vantage point to hunker down and wait for prey to approach. She was certain that the natural depressions in this part of the wilds would make excellent game trails, and where prey was, predators were sure to follow. It was basic bestial behavior. |

Zeno followed after quietly, kneeling down by her side. He is ready to pounce on anything that should come their way. |

The duo find an albino tuk’aka, it is feasting on some poor unfortunate student who wondered too far from the Academy… well way off the ebaten track. It sees them and turns to run. Her voice slipped down into a practiced quiet as they scanned the valley below and the horizon beyond, looking for better vantages. Though it was a bit of a wait, her eyes go wide at the sight of the creature. A rare predator to be sure, and one filled with the power of the kill already. She smiled broadly, her teeth showing in the growing dark. "Zhere!" She whispered. "How beautiful." She was silent for several moments as she tried to formulate a strategy. "Perhaps, if I go on foot down zhe hillside ahead of it, und you go back to zhe speeder, perhapz ve can corner it in zhe canyon. OOC: Justification for a boost die for Zeno's piloting roll. |

Zeno nods and moves down to the speeder quickly with an intense stare in his eyes. This thing was surely going to make for a worthy enemy and a fine kill to power the ritual. He mounted quickly, started up and took off towards where it was at an angle to drive it where he estimated Jun-Tsu would be. When it was trapped between them he hit the breaks and flipped over the front of the speeder with his sword drawn, a wide smile on his face. Piloting (Planetary): 1 success, 4 advantage OOC: Can advantage be used to boost initiative? |

OOC: The kill is a combat roll add a boost die for the advantage and a boost die for defensive talents. This a vicious creature with difficulty as Hard, assist is available roll Force die and add dark as successes or advantage, use the force rating of both characters on the roll, in this case that would be 2 Force dice. |

OOC: Just means you can use the assistance rules, the second force die is part of the roll, since this is part of the ritual. |

Zeno waits for Jun-Tso to make a move towards the creature before he sprints in with great zeal and a smile that speaks of a truly sadistic pleasure in this. By the end of it, his repeated cuts with the ancient sword have drawn lines all over the Tuk'ata's body and painted the two ritualists in it's blood. He looks up at Jun-Tsu waiting for her to speak, his eyes intense and bloodshot. Lightsaber 4 successes, 2 Light, 1 Dark + 1 additional Dark from Jun-Tsu Converting Dark to advantage to try to help with the ritual |

Jun-Tsu had certainly not been idle. Faced by the great white beast, she had drawn her blade, and hemmed in the creature. But it was not through the force of her blade that she helped but her knowledge of the Dark Side. Each time is sought to escape from Zeno, it met the Sith witch, shrouded in a sickly jade umbra. It moved over her skin and out towards the creature, drawing out its life with each passing moment. When at last it fell, Jun-Tsu approached and the forms of energy poured over and into its body, then seemed to circulate as it drew out its last bits of life. Like water flowing from one vessel to another, its life force poured out if it and into her. She claimed it and when she did she drew back, her eyes radiating a vibrant, dark viridian. "Bring me mein bag. I need zhe bowl, zhe knife, und zhe tinctures. Hurry, I cannot hold zhis for long!" The force poured off of her in waves but as she waited she drew her hand out, as though plucking the energies and drawing them back towards herself. Eventually she had to drop her sword to focus more fully. |

Zeno went to the speeder to grab her bag and brought everything with alacrity. He opened next to her so that she could reach everything she needed. After he did so he moved next to the beast, closed his eyes and felt the flow of the force between them doing what he could to ease the burden and make it easier for her to maintain the ritual as best he can. |

"Slice open the beast and gather itz blood into zhe bowl. Gather itz claws und soak zhem. Gather our cryztals und place zhem vithin. Zhen I vill need you to get a bone, v'one of itz glands, und itz liver. Crack it open und grind it, marrow und all. Do zhis until I tell you to stop." She went on to describe what the two organs would look like and even the general location of them in the body. She fell to her knees as she continued to wrestle with the energies pouring through her. |

Zeno does as instructed without a word, his sword moving with the same lightning speed and precision it had in their battle. He gathered everything into the bowl before slicing into the ribcage and removing one of the bones. He then begins the process of grinding it with the tools she had brought. |

As he did so, she gestured for him to bring the bowl over to her. When he did so, she began to chant and that seemed to ease much of the burden she felt. The chaotic tendrils began to pour out and dance about her body as she undulated over the large basin. "Stop!" she called in the midst of her chant, but then move slowly back into it as she weaved her fingers in their occult gestures. She the nodded at her pack indicating she wished for its contents to be spilled out. "Zhe powder, all of it!" she said quickly then back to her rite. |

He followed her direction and moved as quickly as he could to put the powder in the bowl without spilling any of it. He didn't let anything distract him and kept his mind in the moment, waiting for her voice while feeling the dark energies. He allowed all of it to permeate him, smiling as he felt the dark side do it's work. |

One by one she pointed to different pouches and materials, having him arrange them about the vessel or poured into the growing mixture that seemed to bubble and froth of its own accord. Only after they had slowly added the ingredients and the color had slowly slipped into an almost midnight black, matching the growing sky, did she finally begin to pour the energies she had been containing into the mixture. She flew over her to encapsulate them both and then, after several minutes of the spiritual maelstrom, it had all seeped into the tincture they had made. The blood and bone and mineral and powder was all gone. The bowl was empty save for two deep green crystals that rested at the bottom. Jun-Tsu fell back exhausted momentarily from the exertions. |

The sith-blood scrambled to place everything as directed, doing exactly as ordered. He could sense the power coalescing and disappearing from the air as it entered the mixture. He looked on with a smile as everything came together. It was beautiful, it was powerful and it was done. He had loved every moment of it. As she fell back he watched before moving over to her. "That was amazing. You are amazing Jun-Tsu." He reached out a blood covered hand and placed it on her cheek while staring into her eyes with a wicked smile. |

She lay their, eyes closed and allowing the sensation of the ritual to ebb from her limbs. Like running a great distance and finally being allowed to rest she felt a thrumming in her body that made her wish to do nothing but lay there for several minutes. A deep breath expanded her chest which fell as she let it out slowly. "Zhis vas mere remedial alkhemy. You should zee vhat a true mazter of Farro alkhemy can truly do." |

"I would like to see that," he replies. "That would please me a great deal. But that is the future. In the here and now... you have worked your ritual amazingly and succeeded, despite your distance from your family." He pulls his hand away and lays down in the dirt beside her. "I can still feel the adrenaline." |
