Jun-Tsu had doffed her cloak and robes and veil as she waited for Zeno along the canyon ridge. It was some place they both knew, and could find one another. The sun had finally risen and as the heat of the day slowly rose, Jun-Tsu rested in the shadow of her speeder, her bodysuit giving her a modicum of comfort even in the sun. Idly she poked at her datapad studying geographic maps, what little there were, of the deep wilds, along with local ecology guides she'd transferred from the library's main terminal.

Zeno arrives in short order, speeding in like a bat out of hell, before coming to a stop nearby. Somewhere that would not kick up dust on Jun-Tsu. Hopping off he strolls over to his companion. "Good morning my witch-princess. I'm glad to be out here with you again," he says, slipping the helmet off so that she can see his wicked smile.

"Vhat iz a nowelty to you has long ago dulled into banality for me." In spite of her words she gave a smirk of her own as she got to her feet.

"But it haz been a few veeks zince ve have been able to enjoy a hunt, und my blade must be consecrated vith a kill to make it truly mein."

"Indeed," he says with a nod. He pulls out an ilum crystal much like the one he originally had. "I picked this up a few weeks ago. After the battle with death's shadow. I believe that our ritual gave my blade the strength and myself the connection to the dark light needed to make such a victory possible. I would see that power doubled if possible." He smiles viciously at her. "So that I might rend my enemies mercilessly and end them with a primal violence that they had never experienced in their life."

"Gutt, for vhile I do not saber often, I too zhought to channel more powver zhrough itz crystal. Perhapz I can do both at zhe zame time. She took the black hilt, with its jutting points on either end, from her hip and looked at it with an appraising eye, then turned to Zeno.

"But virst ve must find our qvarry. Zhis ritual vill be different zhan zhe virst. Did you bring zhe zhings I zaid?"

"I did," he holds up the bag as he gets close to her. "I brought the supplies and the handsome predator." He moves in to bite her neck, drawing a little blood and licking it.

She savored the sensation but pulled away, steeling herself for the upcoming hunt. "You'll have to hold your passionz vith the vork ahead of us. Now iz a time to focus on a different hunger."

She gave a predatory air of her own.

"Indeed," he replied. "Getting ahead of myself."

He pulled his helmet on, giving her a wink before his eyes disappeared. He then pulled his jacket off and pulled out his shoto.

She stalked to the edge of the ravine, and peered up and down the cavern. The sun would make finding suitable prey difficult. Desert hunters almost always came out at night, but the sands were dangerous no matter the time of day and so she hoped there might be something lurking about in the shadows of the wastes.

Zeno stalks beside her, keeping an eye out for predators as well. There are no words spoken, just a silent hunter ready to strike as quickly as possible against it's fellow predators.

Ooc: we both have sense, can we assist and just have one person roll two force dice?

OOC: Both roll and combine the Force for a larger effect if working together.

Today would require new hunting techniques. She gestured for Zeno to join her as she crouched and closed her eyes. Reaching out her hand, she offered it to him, and once they were joined, in a way that they had a great deal of practice in. She opened their senses. Even since meeting her, he could feel that her power in the Force had grown, and together their senses expanded all around them to every living thing.

The sith-blood took her hand and joined her, body and mind. Zeno could feel that increased power, and while they were connected she could feel his own lust for such growth, but that dissipated as he focused on the task at hand. He reached out for a target.

They find a worthy prey, a large six legged lizard creature called a blood stalker.

OOC: Survival or Athletics to run it down at Hard with a setback. This can be assisted.

The nature of the creature would make it hard to run down on foot. They would require strategy and surprise. She gestured to an outcropping of large stones that flanked to the left side of the creature, no more than 100 paces from it. They had clearly fallen from a nearby hillside, eroded recently by wind and sand.

If they could get to there and then spring from cover together, they might be able to startle it into attack rather than flight. Their skill with the force would both allow them to keep track of the creature and sense its shifting moods.

Zeno nods and begins the maneuver to catch the thing between them. The force connection that they shared did a great deal to improve their ability to chase it down and soon they had it right where they wanted it.

The prey is easily caught and between the two of them killed… it will provide much fodder for the ritual.

Leaping from behind cover, the witch's saber flared to life. As the creature turned, Jun-Tu's hand reached out in a violent gesture. Her taloned fingers clawed at the air viciously and as they did so coils of the blood stalker's life burst from it's chest opening deep gashes. It fumbled backwards leaving an opening for the two of them to strike.

Zeno moved in with a burst of speed and his saber and ancient sword both came to a "V", the tip of the letter being somewhere in the center of the creature's body. As he jumped over it he left a blackened trail and vicious bleeding line in it before landing on the other side of the creature, ready to receive any attacks it may launch in response should it still be alive.

The Deathwright's attack was easily enough to end the creature, but as its body still pumped with vitality in those last moments of light, Jun-Tsu darted forward to plunge her blade into the the blood stalker's neck. Then, with a deft motion, she severed the head from the body. Rather than pull the life energies from the beast as she had done the last time, she quickly moved over to it's stomach.

There she stabbed deep into its gut and held the saber there. A charring began to show soon and then the heat ignited a fire along its skin. She pulled out her blade and went for her satchel, bidding Zeno to help her as she arranged powders and minerals.

Moving to her side, he focused in on it to sense when she needed something so that he was ready to react quickly and with precision. He was no expert at this but now he knew how it needed to go and that it would be taxing for her. The quicker he moved the more fluid the ritual would go. He did as bade.
