The Dark Academy on Korriban

Securing a speeder after the exams, Remmington heads out to the Near Wastes once again for treasure and adventure. Though hopefully just treasure.

OOC: I will need a survival roll at average difficulty, if you have Foresee or Seek that would probably yield better results. Setback die due to the heat.

If it hadn't been for her rather stellar performance during today's exams Jun-Tsu might have found herself against the bureaucratic bulwark of the inner Sith planet. All was reputation and influence here near Dromund Kaas. Not like how it was on Korriz where knowledge of, and devotion to, the Dark Side was the only measure of real worth.

But she had gotten a speeder and dismounted beside Rem. She was no pilot, but most anyone their age knew how to, at least, handle themselves atop a basic speeder. The relatively flat canyons made for easy flying, though she hadn't quite counted on such intense heat.

He makes a stop at the designated meeting spot and gives Jun-Tsu a nod when she approaches. He dismounts off his speeder as well. "Hey Jun-Tsu. Didn't have too hard of a time getting a speeder did you? How did your exams go?"

"Adeqvetly," she retorted simply as she walked casually over to Rem. Her robes blew in the breeze, causing her to have to squint at the occasional sprays of sand that sprung up from random updrafts off the wastes.

"Und yourz?" She seemed genuinely interested.

"Fairly well I would say. The knowledge exam was a breeze for me. I had some trouble with the other exams though." Remmington admits.

/I can roll Forsee, don't worry!/

Coming up somewhat slower than the other two, Nunki dismounted her speeder and approached the pair.

"Glad you guys had an easy time, I got my ass kicked..." She says, in a half joking, half somber tone.

Jun-Tsu glanced away at the sound of the speeder engine stopping and the woman's approach. She knew precious little about the woman aside from what they had shared the day before, which is to say nil to none.

"A pity," the Sith witch offered with a seemingly genuine air. "Zo....a ztrong early showing does not imply future success. Ve could be dead inside zhe hour."

She smiled.

There is nothing of interest on the journey to the Valley of the Dark Lords.

"While it is nice to get ahead. Do too well and the other students will start plotting your downfall. Such is the way of the Sith." Remmington comments.

"Well glad to have you with us again Nunki. Hopefully we can find something good. I checked some of the area before hand. So we'll avoid the places that have already been thoroughly searched and go off into some uncharted territory."

Nunki can feel something but whatever it is their destiny is not here, it is deeper in.

"Vhat iz it ve trully vish to find?" Jun-Tsu questioned as they took a final glance about and returned to their speeders, likely to press further on towards the Valley of the Dark Lords. "Are ve just looking for zhe parts for a speeder? It iz good to know vhat ve hope to find rather zhan just grasping blindly."

"A lot of things really. Primarily lightsabers, or parts for lightsabers will do. Anything else is just bonus to be honest." Remmington replies.

"Whatever it is we're looking for, we won't find it here." Nunki says, looking to her two companions. "Especially not lightsaber pieces. There's been plenty who have ventured here before us, and they've probably scavenged this place dry."

"I agree, zo v'one never knows vhat zhe sands have vastes have burried over zhe centuries. All zhe same, it is obvious zhat zhe real treasures of visdom lay vith zhe dark masters," he nodded her head towards where even now the massive statues bowed their heads far in the distance, marking the valley.

Remmington nods. "I can always come back here to see what scraps I can find but let's head out to find some real treasure before the others develop enough of a backbone to try themselves."

"How are you finding things so far Nunki?" He asks the member of the group that hasn't been to Korriban before.

Jun-Tsu took the time to head for her speeder again and mount up, prepped to take off across the sands and broken earth for the valley ahead. Even from here she could feel the radiant force of the Dark Side pouring off of it like a blazing bonfire.

Nunki turned to walk back to her speeder, shouting back to Remmington, "Ask me again when I've been here for more than a day."

Remmington laughs. "Alright. Is this a good time to hear one of your space travel stories? It's a bit of a ride even on speeders."
