The Dark Academy on Korriban

"I have an ancient sword." He offered. "You can keep it as collateral if you'd like."

Sylvain nods at Zeno's suggestion.

"I'd let Syl keep it for a while, Baes. And I don't think a collateral would be necessary. You really need to get your sabre done, Syl."

Moyr finally said after weighing options.

"For now I think we should be heading back to the dig."

What?

Having Sylvain keep the Holocron after all the bloody work she'd done is not something ahe seems to appreciate.

''There is no way that bloody sword is any form of compensation for a holocron''

She frowns thinking

''What about the other holocron? What happened to it?''

"Unfortunately I'm not able to give that one away right now... The holocron has locked itself to open only to my command." He said. "I could give you an empty box that would have the same amount of utility to you."

''It still is an holocron''

She was looking pissed

''If you run off with this one then I can still disassemble the other''

''Or maybe you would prefer to give up your lightsaber crystal?''

"I'm afraid I can't allow the other holocron to be threatened to be disassembled." He replied.

"We could always let you keep it and then see it fall into the hands of the Academy when they check your room. There certainly isn't any wisdom in giving the holocron to the one who has the greatest ability to keep it safe from vicissitudes of the Academy's officials."

He looked around, "And from what I can tell there are three of us on this group that tend to think it could be best utilized with me. Tell me, what connections would you use to exert leverage over a teacher?"

"We took it from the Restricted Tombs, Baes. Someone may have seen us, not all went as planned. This is a political bomb, not only for Zash but for the Sith as a whole. A True Sith embracing the Light Side? Come on, Baes. If you were caught with it, you'd be toast. Syl has a chance to get away with it."

Moyr approached Baesal and laid her hand on the Togruta's arm.

"Besides, this is not exactly the price we hoped for. If he betrays us, I have ways to retaliate."

She smiled sweetly at the Imperial.

He smiled back at Moyr.

"I think you'd be pleasantly surprised by how faithful I can be to an agreement Baesal."

He dares to threaten me?

''Yeah, I heard Baras took pity on you after the agent of the 'republic' killed your father.''

It was clear that Baesal cared not for Sylvain and his faithfullness. Moyr's word seemed to ease things...but not by much

''Fine'' she finally said

I'll throw you under the bus if anything goes bad for me, you ass

"Surprising how Baras would suddenly develop a sense of compassion is it not?" He said with a smile.

He nodded at her acceptance, holocron still in his hand, and asked, "Did someone get the data Zeno just asked for?"

''I'll get it down'' she answered with half a snarl

And with that she began typing

"Lord Deathwright, let's check if we haven't stirred the desert outside."

Moyr had enough of debating for now.

While they had been arguing, Zeno had taken down the data on other locations already. He really didn't care who held the holocron. He wasn't about to use the thing and have it trying to constantly 'redeem' him.

Moyr was surprisingly in agreement with him. Light Side and its perpetuation of structural enslavement of passion and ambition held no appeal for her. Lord Hazzan had similar effect on her Santa Claus has on teenagers. Heading toward the exit, she moved quietly a.d sharpened her senses. Moons would set soon, but dawn was still a few hours away.

Zeno stepped out with Moyr and let his senses reach into the area surrounding them, trying to sense any creatures that might be present. Unfortunately the light, weak as it was on this planet, did what it could to interfere.

Slyvain looked up at the holocron and nodded politely, "Thank you Hazzan. I'm sure we will meet again soon. Thank you for your assistance."

With that he deactivated the holocron and put it with his belongings.

"Shall we go catch up?" He asked to Baesal.
