The Dark Academy on Korriban

In general one can get to anywhere on the Academy by walking, locations outside of the Academy are not easily walked to. The Spaceport is a short ride by speeder but it would take many hours to reach by foot, through often very bleak and hot weather. Speeders are provided to students of good standing, Reputation 5 and above with no hassle. They simply make a request and they are provided a speeder that must be returned within 24 hours of pickup.

Students with lower Reputation can either steal one, make a request, or if they have Influence just use the Force if they have Control option to make people believe a specific idea. Stealing a vehicle is a Stealth check and Skullduggery check at average difficulty. To make a request is a Negotiation check at average difficulty and every 50 credits offered adds a boost die. Or they can Influence at Average difficulty.

This roll is not affected by Reputation. Without a Speeder one cannot reach the Deep Wastes or the Valley of the Dark Lords in a timely manner, travel by foot would take days.
