The Dark Academy on Korriban

Shaisha laughed, showing off her predatory features as she did. "I believe that must've been the thought of the first ones to hold lightsabers... 'Oops wrong way'."

"Could have made for some unfortunate accidents," she offered with that smirk of hers.

"I long for the chance to hold such a weapon." Kristal added, a bit of a dreamy tone to her usual Imperial Starkness. "To call it mine."

"That day is soon dear friend. Your diligence will have paid off again in short time." He smiled warmly.

"If only diligence alone will get us through the last days at the Academy," Shaisha sighed. "As we speak, there are probably others forming alliances too... perhaps even to bring down people like us. Or plan to get into the tombs too to cover up for their shortcomings..."

The girl frowned. She didn't like the idea that they might have to come to blows with other students in the tombs, but that was the most likely setting for such a scenario. It was off the campus grounds, and the rules of students not killing eachother didn't apply that much if no witnesses were left alive.

Sylvain smiled, "Most likely, yes my dear sister. But that is what I am here for. I will see to it that we are not caught unawares, and that such alliances don't go unfettered for long. There are sure to be many who would rather side with the influential and powerful. It is merely a matter of assembling them when it is necessary to do so."

"I trust you to do what you do best," she smirked. "Meanwhile, I will see if I can talk with my fellow Purebloods. I have seen a couple in passing, and they are more likely to be... friendly to students like ourselves than the ones who think themselves above their stations."

He smiled and nodded, "Do not underestimate those who may not respect their place in the current order. In this setting more than others, there is reason to think they should respected and utilized as any other acolyte. If I bring one or two into our circle of influence, don't treat them like they just soiled your bed or something."

"Strength is respected, and we have it. Those who would seek to bring us down only plot their own demise. For that, I agree with Sylvain, many would seek us out to earn our favor."

"Even if they manage to survive, they could not hope to match us as we do not grow complacent. I will continue my training, my fathers reputation along with Sylvain's will surely draw other Imperials." Words that proved Kristal intended to become the bulwark against any attempts on the trio.

As for others, of not Imperial or Sith blood. Well, she wasn't beyond seeing true merit rightfully respected.

"You know I don't mistreat those who prove themselves valuable," she gave a pointed look. Or easily manipulated.

"Some think that the only way through the Academy is to destroy the opposition, but we all know that it's better to build alliances that could benefit everyone in the long run, rather than eliminate potential useful tools for the Empire. Anyone who is true Sith material will see that reason."

"Let us hope that such individuals are equally capable as they are wise." He said with a warm smile.

"And let's see what type of enjoyment we can squeeze out of this last opportunity..." Then pausing as if just coming to the realization of something, "This may be the last opportunity the three of us are together, huh?"

"Ish... don't say say, Syl." She hid her dislike of the thought behind a feigned chuckle. "Going to make me all sentimental..."

"Weird to think that you both will have worn out your functional utility to me so soon." He said with a smile and a wink.

That revelation turned Kristal inward a bit, thoughtful. For so many years she had these two at her side. Surely she could manage on her own, surely they all could. However, how different would her days be? Would she feel different? Would she feel the loss? In truth.. she didn't really know.

Despite her brief foray into silence she tried to alleviate any concern. Perhaps even simply for herself.

"Even if we are not in the same room we will all be working together for the Empire. I am sure that will cause our paths to cross countless times, and it will be good to know we have those we can rely on out there."


Then, with Sylvain's comment Kristal smirked, found the sole pillow on her bed and in one motion pulled it from under her head and tossed it at him. Leaving the act standing on its own, without further words. Just a small Kristal smile.

In a nano-second after Kristal's pillow struck Sylvain, so did Shaisha's as she hurtled it at her stupid older 'brother'. "You slimy son of a Hutt..." she said with a grin.

"But, you know... you're right, Kristal. We'll still be working towards many of the same goals. And who knows... even if we end up with different masters, it would be wise of them to acknowledge how well the three of us work together as a team."

Sylvain caught the pillow from Kristal but then was struck by Shaisha's. He smiled mischievously, "Is that an invitation to return these to your beds my fair maidens?"

He let go a suggestive smile, "I guess that is one function that you both could still serve after this is done. One always has need for quality female companionship. You're both quite creative, thinking of things to keep us together."

He then chuckled and threw the pillow back to Kristal on her bed before picking up Shaisha's and throwing it at her's.

"Ew, gross," Shaisha stuck her tongue out and caught the pillow. "Sounds creepy when you say it like that, you know."

He chuckled, "I'll have to work on it then."

Then pausing, "But seriously, without getting too sentimental. I look forward to finishing up our time here... and all the opportunities for collusion in the future. We are stronger together than alone. Much like the Empire we serve."

He smiles and then holds up his hand like he is changing the channel on a display.

"Signing off for INN news, this has been Slyvai..." He makes a clicking noise with his mouth.

"That's enough of that sappy drivel."

Kristal went to comment, but then with Sylvain's addition and suggestion she leaned up and looked more toward Shaisha. Catching the pillow as she mentally set up her play. There was nothing held back in her smirk as she spoke the words, "They will at least have to see how well you and I work together Shaisha," she asserted taking an implied jab at Sylvain.

Then, she set the stage, "Imagine how the three of us might manage to control a battle from separate fronts. Working separate but in unison. It would be glorious."

Then, at the end, "Yes, enough of that. First we need to prepare ourselves so we might reach those days."

Slyvain smiles at the jab and nods as she speaks.

"Indeed. Sufficient is the evil for the day therein. Especially on Korriban."

"Hmmm... us three taking on a battle from different fronts," Shaisha mused at Kristal's words, imagening what it would be like. Knowing Kristal, she'd probably be at the front, leading some elite strike force in a way that would make her parents proud. Or so Shaisha thought.

"Any ideas what sort of tests we might have to pass in the coming days?"

As Shaisha thought, that was certainly where Kristal had herself envisioned in time. Leading the charge against the corrupt Republic. Meanwhile she pictured Shaisha, independent and direct, a useful agent that could get to the source of a problem perhaps. As well as Sylvain, that charm he's always had. Certainly one that could incite men to risk and lose their lives for the betterment of the Empire. Vague, perhaps, but she didn't waste much time on idle fantasies if she could help it.

"If we are not given a weapon and told to kill something worthy of killing I would be surprised." Kristal offered as her contribution to ideas.

He smiled, "I assume many of the Sith who are looking for apprentices will ask the instructors for tests that suit their current needs. Studying up a bit on each of the potential masters is probably a good idea."

He pulls out his holopad, "You've looked up the people rumored to have interest in an apprentice, but have you looked up their current exploits yet?"

"Not all of them. So far, only what's on the news... though it wouldn't hurt to dig around a little more, truth be told," she shrugged, not minding at all to do further research into the subject. "Or do you have something to add?"

He smiled and tapped at the pad for a few seconds, "There you go. I just sent you a bit of a report on each of them. See what insights you can draw from them."

He then put away his pad, "Lord Zash is apparently on board, I may try and track her down before we arrive and look for some sign of her intentions."

Kritsal's approach, truthfully, was to simply excel and allow those who would decide make their decisions. Still, it couldn't help to hear about them from the discussion between her other two parts. "Lord Zash digs in tombs while the rest of the Empire fights," Kristal starts but pulls back a bit, "I hope to not gain her interest."

Setting her pillow back where it was she tidied up quickly, making it look neat and orderly before bringing herself back to the edge of her bed. Sitting there with one leg out and the other curled up to her chest. Leaning against it.
