He smiled, "I believe I am both of those things."

"Ve travel to Yawin tomorrow, but not until zhe evening. Perhaps you could come to mein qvarters in zhe dormitory tomorrow afternoon und I could indulge you in zome mental exercises. For zhis, I can provide zhe reqvirements."

He smiled, "That can be arranged. Should I bring anything?"

"No, I'll provide. For somezhing like zhis zhere is little reqvired. Inner alkhemy iz more demanding but less costly," she held an amused air.

He smiled and chuckled, "What kind of demands?"

"Zhat depends on vhat you vish to get out of it. To open yourzelf up to zhe Dark-light zhrough zuch a ritual meditation can be qvite strenuous on zhe mind und zometimez zhe body. You channel a great deal of powver, und must control your mind. In zuch a ritual, I just concoct an infused, vell, a tea of sorts, I zuppose you could zay, und drinking it vhile I guide your meditation, you vill slip into a trance vhereby you vill experience visions. Zometimes zhese visions are of zhe past or zhe future, but other times zhey are merely about vacing yourself und zhe truthz of your passions und vants."

"Zhey are about clarity und self-knowledge."

He smiled, "Then I am quite willing."

He then stood up and prepared to leave, "I'm glad we could reconnect Miss Farro. I'll be honored to impose on you tomorrow."

"Impose on me vhenewer you vish. Zhe days are long und unewentful here in zhe Academy. I have to wenture into zhe vilds for any excitement." She let her comment fall ot the wayside. "But it vill be intriguing to wenture into your inner vilds. Zee vhat zort of beast hides vithin zhat ciwilized breast."

He smiled, "I don't take kindly to heavily one-sided exchanges Lady Farro. I hope the venturing can be as dual-sided as possible."

He winked, "You show me your's and I'll show you mine."

"Ve zhall zee," she answered coyly. "I'm not zertain you are ready yet to zee mein beast. I have spent years nurturing it und feeding it on zhe dark-light. It may dewour you."

Her tone was genially mocking as she slowly opened her text again. "But it might be fun to let it out to play."

"I think you'd be surprised how my skills of persuasion can make just about any beast deeply appreciative." He smiled and nodded.

"Until tomorrow then, Lady Farro."

"Until tomorrow, Ser Torsin," she nodded a valediction to him and let her mind wander for a moment to the future.
