Layne came along with them; dressed in armored robes that she hadn't been seen in before; and which were of an ancient design, despite looking pretty pristine. Perhaps it would interest Savas. Perhaps not. In any case, it wasn't why they were there. |

"That is not a reward. That is just an implied threat." If Savas thought he was going to intimidate someone like Layne, he was obviously mistaken. "Besides, if we were to just give you this valuable information without expecting anything in return, you'd probably just think we're idiots. Anyway, I don't think getting something in return for our efforts is unreasonable. Especially since we could've just as easily taken this information to someone else." |
