It had begun with an argument over whether an artefact pictured was of Hutt or Republic origin (it had been neither but don't tell Nunki or Grenda if you value your health), and somehow turned in to them working together. Neither was entirely sure how that had happened . . . but it had happened.

Careful research was done with Grenda obviously knowing the subject better than Nunki, but the human having the better reasoning and scholarly skills. They formulated a plan of where and how to search . . .

. . . all to no avail.

"Poodoo."

The Rodian pitched the final lump of uninteresting and totally-normal-not-a-relic rock over her shoulder.

Yet, despite their failure to search as planned, a stroke of luck struck. In the hole left by rock that the Rodian had so generously tossed, was... something.. Nunki wasn't entirely sure what it was, but it was something.

"Grenda, nice one!" She said, reaching down to pick it up for examination.

This will do.

The second force dice was a just-in-case if the first one was light.

She peered at the find.

"That . . . was under that boring stone?"

She squinted some more.

"It appears authentic. Perhaps even valuable."

"Lets get it checked out then, yeah?" She says, leading the Rodian back to Lord Savas.

Upon his examination, he shakes his head. "Where did you find this thing? Under a rock?"

Their find was dismissed, but they'd at least had the luxury of finding something.

It was difficult to glare properly with compound eyes, but Grenda tried it anyway as she trudged away with the former Republic woman.

"Pah, aren't all relics found under rocks?"

"Well, yeah, but I think he meant it in a more literal sense..." She sighed. "How many times have they tested acolytes like this? They can't expect everybody to come with a real artifact..."

"More like using us to find resources. Pah can't even recognise a proper relic when one is presented."

She made a Rodian face of contempt . . . which was just another 'screwed up snout' look to any non Rodian.

"Oh, I'm sure they are plenty capable of recognizing a relic." She says, cynically. "They just choose who to acknowledge for their finds." She shakes her head.

That brought a snort.

"Small minded fools. Everyone is equal before the might of the Dark Side."

"I suppose." She says, looking back behind her to Savas. "Unfortunately, some are just more equal than others."

Now looking back at Grenda, she says "And we drew the short straws."

"We'll do better than the Duros dregs. That is little respite though. Even though we have proved ourselves, still they doubt."

She kicked a stone across the ground, into a trench and a bruised slave looked up a moment later to be glared at by the ever so slightly peeved Rodian.

Nunki offers an apologetic smile to the slave when they look up.

"Unless your skin is red or your tongue is Imperial, they'll look down on you, no matter how much you believe to have proven yourself."

She sighs, and continues.

"You would think something would have changed by now..."

"Pah whenever things that are different meet there will always be a fight to see which is the mightiest. We Rodians had a world that was death once, now we are it's Champions."

She snorted loudly.

"True Sith . . . . pah, the Dark Side does not care what you call yourself, only that you follow the Code."

"Good money in dealing with Hutts. As long as you stay the right side of the credit line."

She nodded knowingly.

"The right side of the credit line, and keep them in a good mood." She pauses briefly. "You ever see an angry hutt? Scary stuff sometimes."
