''I'm here to see if I could speak with Lord Savas'' she said to one of the guards

“I’m right here,” he says with a sigh.

“What do you need Baesal, come to astonish me with more keen insights?”

''I wish I had enough of them to astonish you in such a way Lord Savas but I come for another reason''

She scratches her neck wondering if it would work

''I don't want to take too much of your time: I just wanted to see if there was any task I could help with...for a pay of sorts''

“Am I running an antique store now? Perhaps you mistake me for a cobbler? Or an avid book seller?” he says cocking his head to the side.

''Oh no Lord Savas'' She said before scratching her head

''You see, I want to synthetize a khyber crystal with the goal of better understand how the force interacts with material objects and, well, the crafting method is costly for a mere student.''

''So I either need to work for it or I need to learn how to harvest them myself. The second option is likely to be less efficient then the first one...And since there is a good part of a library to transcribe into digital, I though I could propose my services.''

“You want to embark on the mysterious world of Khyber crystal production,” he says curiously.

“Now that is genuinely something I have not heard from a student.”

“You want to understand how things work. Not at some philosophical level but the bits and bobs of creation, how each piece works?” Savas says.

The alien bit her lip as she did not know how Savas would react to what she is about to say next

She struggles to keep a sigh

''But then again, I already share the mindset of an engineer or a programmer.''

Lord Savas shrugs, “We all find our own path to knowledge and understanding, either stand by your convictions or don’t.”

"I have no intentions of cutting corners. I have finished both volumes of Darth Grei's Codex of Sorcery and I am perusing some of Acolyte Farro's suggestions"

She frowns

"I have too much to do to waste anyone's time"

“I will give you access to fabrication facilities and see if your keen insights are just dumb luck or an actual spark of intellect. If you disappoint me nothing lost and my opinion of you is simply verified,” he replies.

"Thank you Lord Savas. Can you tell me were I find the proper chemical for the process?" She inquires

“I will instruct you I the proper processes, because I am sure you will make a mess of things. Consider yourself conscripted,” he says with a cough.

''On another note, can I ask you if there is books in the library that deals about the period before Ajunta Pall's coming to Korriban and any about the Jedi Order of that period? I would like to read about the social context that brought Sorzus Syn to write the Sith Code.''
