Sylvain arrived for the pop-quiz and was a bit surprised by the nature of the first round of testing, but did quite well the second two tests as the teachers were willing to give him answers he would know. ------- Roll 1: D6 Pop Quiz Education Roll, Setback, Rep 8: 1eA+1eP+1eB+3eD+1eS 0 successes, 4 threat Roll 2: D6 Pop Quiz Leadership Roll Rep 8: 1eA+2eP+1eB+2eD 2 successes, 1 advantage Roll 3: D6 Pop Quiz Survival Roll Rep 8: 2eA+1eP+1eB+2eD 1 success, 3 threat (OOC: 2 successful rolls, 1 Graduation point) |

Zeno took the test in and recalled his notes. The first question was by far the most difficult for him as it did not play to his strengths and was definitely outside his wheelhouse. The answer he gave was well written and nearly correct but a crucial detail was missed and so he earned no points for it. The rest, however, were a breeze for him. With the lecture the day before and his particular expertise on the subjects he was able to blow them out of the water. (Thought I'd just use the favor with the Overseer to ignore it, but when GM uses Destiny on me, I has to roll! ) Ajunta Pall... of course it had to be Ajunta Pall, Shaisha thought as she looked over the three tasks ahead. She cast a glance around. Cheating was soooo tempting. No, no... I know he would expect better of me. And so, she set to work to write her essay on Ajunta Pall. Except she got sidetracked horribly by trying to impress Lord Savas in displaying her knowledge of Ajunta Pall's followers; Xoxaan, Sorzus Syn, and Remulus Dreypa. Shaisha went into great depth of the value of those three to the establishement of the newfound Sith Empire. As she looked it over, she realised she had actually only written very little about Ajunta Pall, but there was simply not enough time to do it all again, as there were two more to go. - Now this was more interesting, she thought, looking over the second task. Sure, she knew she might've had an unfair advantage there with the upbringing she had had with her mother and the Vreysk House, but Shaisha diligently worked on a suitable essay that would surely impress anyone of scholarly inclincation. - The ancient Sith, huh? She smirked knowingly on the last topic Savas expected of them. It was if he was throwing a curveball, but Shaisha bet her allowance that Lord Savas probably didn't know that she had been looking into this ever since she last spoke with Spindral. The petite Sith confidently made cracking noises with her fingers as she set to her final essay. She went into great depth of their technique of fighting with the ancient swords, especially during the many tribal wars, as well as the less violent tribes.... the Forgotten. --- D6 EVENT Pop Quiz. Post subject: | Re: [Day 6 - LA] Pop-Quiz - Event |
At their makeshift 'classroom,' Jun-Tsu took out her datapad and with a disinterested pall to her face she set about the rather tedious task of regurgitating information she had learned as a child and had been drilled on for over a decade now. She put down, in detail, all that she remembered from Lord Savas' lecture, adding in some minor points that she had been told about the coming of the exciled jen'jidai. Of course, that fed directly into the second essay in which she meted out in painstaking detail the events surrounding the Hundred-Year Darkness, the Battle of Corbos, and the eventual exile of the jen'jidai to the furthest reaches of space. From there she spoke of their navigational techniques and how they came to Korriban by a very particular route, as though ordained or foreseen. Finally, she began to speak of the Sith survival styles, many of which had been adopted by the Farro. In all honesty she was growing bored with answering such simple questions, and though she put forth less effort as her attention waned, it was still enough to display a firm grasp on the ways of the ancient Sith. Finished, Jun-Tsu sent it to their professor with a shake of her head an an irritated sigh at how much time she had wasted on the endeavor. Moyr hadn't attended the lecture, so it was all a bit of hit and miss. Still, she decided she had no direct interest in taking risks for the result and that she would go with the flow. But even brief, succinct answers proved difficult to give. Coming with even a modicum of essay on Ajunta Pall seemed like a pain in the ass. In the end, she came up with something that emphasised the dangers of Jedi meddling. Probably not what Savas wanted mentioning esoteric. LA6. Quiz. #1. Lore. Hard. 2 Setback (Reputation, Esoteric). 2 Boost (Zash's Knowledge): 2eA+3eD+2eS+2eB 1 failure, 2 threat Then next one was about fighting in space, something she felt a bit better at. Zash's notes would help fill the blanks between dramatic analysis of space battles in the Uncharted Regions. But that came out as a description, not an essay with an argument. Damn literary skills, who has them? They don't teach children writing theses on Ryloth. LA6. Quiz. #2. Space Piloting. Average. 1 Setback (Reputation). 2 Boost (Zash's Knowledge): 3eA+2eD+1eS+2eB 0 successes, 1 advantage And then, survival strategies! She knew a thing about it, right? Apparently not what a Sith would consider as proper surviving. She really should have cheated and just switched her test with one of those top students. Oh well, too late for that. LA6. Quiz. #3. Survival. Average. No Setback (Reputation vs, Twi'lek). 2 Boost (Zash's Knowledge): 3eA+2eD+2eB 1 failure, 2 advantage --- Nope! |

Kristal was given questions, she answered questions, but they weren't the right answers. No, they were answers that only barely began with the topic but changed into something else entirely. With everything that has happened the past few days it seems Kristal's subconscious took today as the day to just let everything out. Perhaps last night had a little something to do with it. With the first question there was no question, she was flat out wrong and miss-informed, but when she got to the second? Where was once supposed to be a response based on the Dark Jedi and their conquest of Korriban became a long winded response about the benefits of strong leadership and how to be a strong leader. Citing multiple times the many things she learned of it as a young Serasai, training her mind before she could train her body. Military to the core. Then, the third. Before lightsabers there was swords. Naturally that had a place in the ways of the ancient Sith, before the time of lightsabers. Swords were the weapons of the past but honorable ones. Where she was supposed to respond on ancient Sith she instead spoke of the long tradition of proper combat, honorable combat. Something that has been held in the Serasai family line for many many generations. The last two answers were simply inspired. They were, unfortunately still, not the answers asked for. Ajunta Pall. Fascinating man. He was the first Jen'ari, the first Dark Lord of the Sith, founder of the Old Sith Empire. Trained as a jedi he discovered many secrets about the force. His discoveries were deemed 'too dangerous' by the jedi order, so they prohibited him from spreading that knowledge. Frustated, he rebelled against the dogmatic views of the jedi, alongside other men and women who shared his progressive thoughts. Defeated and exiled, he discovered Korriban and subdued the sith race to his will. He conquered Ziost and established the foundations for the history of the Sith empire and Sith Order... And his writting continues. Yes, Rumun knows about Ajunta Pall and his importance to the Sith Order. His answer to the first question is remarkable, well written and gives several more obscure facts about his significance. The other two questions are less important (from the Duros perspective) so he actually fails in those. But his first answer, yeah he is completly correct. **************** [OOC - Rolls] Used 1 Destiny here D6 - Savas Test; Lore/Intellect; 1 Destiny to upgrade; +2 Setback -2 setbacks (talents), Hard Dif; 1 Chall Upg (rep): 1eA+2eP+2eD+1eC 3 successes, 4 threat D6 - Savas Test; Leadership/Presence, 1 Setback (rep) - 1 setback (talent); 1 dif Upg (rep): 2eA+1eP+1eD+1eC 0 successes D6 - Savas Test; Cunning/Survival; 1 Setback, 1 dif upg: 2eA+1eD+1eC 1 failure, 1 threat Note: I forgot the reputation setback for the last roll, not that matters as I failed. +1 Graduation |

Lecture? Did I really miss a lecture? I didn't even know it was happening... Who is this Ajunta Pal? Oh well, I can probably just write the same shit for every Sith who had some influence... But at the end of the paper, the only thing it showed was that she had no idea who this person was. And every time she read over it, her head hurt just a little more... D6LA Event Q1: Lore: 3eA+3eD+1eS 0 successes, 2 threat On the second topic was something she was much more familiar with, both before and after her time on Korriban. No problem. D6LA Event Q2: Leadership: 3eA+2eD 3 successes And finally, a paper on ancient sith survival. Boring. But she knew enough to get by, and that's what she did, got by. Though Sinea wasn't too aware during yesterday's lecture, observing the students more than the lecture, she was still familiar with the necessary details on Ajunta. A family of seers should be familiar with the past as well, after all! She also managed to pull all the details about the Sith fleeing from the Jedi... except of course the dates were wrong, but the overall picture was good. Finally on the common survival strategies, she put down "When in doubt, use lightsaber" d6 LA - PoP Quiz Knowledge (Lore) - rerolling because incorrect dicepool: 2eP+1eA+3eD+1eS 3 successes, 1 threat d6 LA - PoP Quiz Astrogation (Intellect): 3eA+2eD 3 successes, 1 threat d6 LA - PoP Quiz Lightsaber (Brawn): 2eA+2eD 0 successes, 2 advantage |

Niriti struggled with the questions. Her mind was in blank as all she could think of was of the rumors about Xevine the previous night. The woman skipped the first question, the hardest of them, and went to the other two questions, and found herself just writing gibberish. She knew it was all wrong, so there was nothing she could do for the exam. It would have to be the first question that got her out of trouble. The woman struggled with her saliva down her throat. She thought as hard as she could back at the classes and books that she had looked through, mostly out of boredom passing the pages one by one. The pressure was getting to her... she could only remember Ajunta Pall... and then it all came to her, and she scribbled down all that she recalled on the Sith. -Pop Quiz, D6 - Question 1. Essay topics definitely do not appear to be Remmington's forte. He bombs pretty badly on the question about Ajunta Pall and the Order of Sith. He at least manages to do really well with the ancient Sith and survival methods. He lets out a sigh once the quiz is done. Question #1 Lore (Intellect). Exams, great. Fortunately, despite the interruption caused by an errant text message, Jo'ren had been present and awake for the lecture. He wore in the greatest detail he could manage about the conquests of Ajunta Pall, which turned out to be good enough for Lord Savas. It was probably the note to see the Collected works volumes 1 & 2 that did it. Day 6. Pop quiz. Roll 1. Lore(Intellect). Rep bonus. Average difficulty. Setback.: 1eA+1eP+2eD+2eB+2eS 1 success, 1 threat 1 success = pass When it came to the source battles Jo'ren got a bit carried away. His story was more like Sith exile fan fiction that anything resembling reality. To many lasers and explosions, not enough history. Day 6. Exam question 2. Piloting: Space(Agility). Rep. Easy difficulty.: 2eA+1eP+1eD+1eS+2eB 0 successes, 2 advantage 0 successes = question failed The final exam question was a tour de force. Jo'ren's obsession with lightsabers and recent reading of their history made for an impressive answer. He was quite pleased with himself after all of that. Day 6. Exam question 3. Lightsaber(Brawn). Rep. Easy.: 1eA+3eP+1eD+2eB+1eS 1 success, 1 advantage, 1 Triumph 1 success, 1 advantage, 1 triumph. Perhaps even Lord Savas is impressed --------- 2/3 passed; +1 graduation point |

Layne; having been present for the lecture the day before; was rather surprised at the ease with which she passed the first portion of the exam. Finding herself with what she was sure was the right set of answers there almost made up for the fact she flubbed on the next portion of the exam. Oh well, she did fair enough on the final stretch to finish with a decent score. Education, reduced difficulty from lecture, 1 setback removed from blade of woe,: 2eA+2eD+2eS 1 success, 1 advantage Leadership, reduced difficulty from lecture, Upgraded Difficulty, 1 setback removed from blade of woe,: 2eA+1eD+1eC+1eS 0 successes, 2 threat Lightsaber/Brawn, reduced difficulty from lecture, 1 setback removed from blade of woe,: 1eA+2eP+1eD+1eS 3 successes, 2 advantage ((accidentally forgot to remove the difficulty die from the 2nd roll's syntax; so suffer 1 less strain for that; would've been negated by the advantage on the third roll anyway)) |

Essays . . . Grenda was not happy. Especially when the first question was posed. Who? Bah . . . how does this help me cut down my enemies and advance? She wrote a concise and totally uninformative and patently false history of the woman/man/thing she'd never heard of. Creative Writing #101 would have been impressed. This wasn't Creative Writing #101. The Conquest of Korriban!!!! This is more like it! The second question was dealt with in an entirely different and completely efficient manner. Much more like it. And finally Survival strategies. Her race had been fighting for survival since they had first come down from the trees and they were extremely good at it. The essay proved no difficulties either. /ooc Pop Quiz. Question 1. Khalim begins the exam with very little knowledge of the topic at hand. Ajunta Pall? Didn't I hear something about them some while back...? He begins writing, based off his memories on the subject, which aren't too great. Some very obscure details which might even impress Lord Savas make it into the written response, but he fails to remember much about the more well-known aspects of their life. Pop Quiz Q1 - Outer Rim (Int) - Destiny Upgrade: 1eA+1eP+2eB+2eD+1eC+1eS 0 successes, 4 advantage When the topic changes to the exile of the Dark Jedi and the conquest of Korriban, he remembers far more detail of the topic, having been drilled on the topic many times throughout his childhood. The response is full of details, but is more of a report than a fluid story. Pop Quiz Q2 - Leadership (Presence): 2eP+2eB+2eD 4 successes, 1 threat Finally, he gets to the essay about the survival techniques of the ancient sith. Once again, the level of detail in the essay response is astounding, though some of it not quite right.
