The Imperial encampment is a mess, but the casualties are light for the Empire or the Gunda; the Yubashi died in the thousands over the course of four hours of fighting and bloodshed. The forces of the Yubashi are broken and their leader is brought before the Queen who gives a stirring speech to the massassi and then beheads the chieftain with her mask and holds up the head for all to see.

The battle is over.

Maskless, though not lacking the colour of blood over herself, Moyr attended the beheading ceremony with an impassive expression. She was suffering from adrenaline withdrawal, coping with both pain from wounds and the overall tiredness and strain of her body. Still, there was enough battle euphoria left in her, a novel experience in itself, to keep her senses keen.

Her attention was mostly on Jag'tih and her interaction with those around her.

Zeno stands among a pile of corpses with his lightsabers still lit, unmoving and apparently not paying any attention to his surroundings. It's impossible to tell what he's thinking through his helmet.

Layne, when she showed up, appeared with a contemplative frown; rather than the usual angry one. Observant individuals might notice that she was covered in weapons. There was the old favourite of the darksaber of course. And that stupid broken sword she carried with her everywhere. There was also a completely intact but ancient looking black sword. And finally, another lightsaber, a shoto by the looks of it, that hadn't been seen before.

It had been an epic battle and Jo'ren had felt exhilarated throughout. It had ended before his wounds could drop him, although others had likely been less fortunate. He watched the beheading impassively and slowly recovered some of his strength.

Layne's small arsenal was noted, but he didn't feel the need to inquire. The enemy had been decisively beaten, and Sinea's ritual had helped them immensely. He wondered what would happen next. Were there further trials ahead on Yavin IV?

Zeno eventually sat down on a pile of massassi corpses and took a breather, sheathing his sabers. He looked out over the carnage and admired it with a stoic gaze.

Slyvain limped around in the command tent with Captain Harad. The battle had been a bloody one, not only on the Yubashi side. As he, Harad, and the others on the strategic council discussed the plan moving forward, Sylvain got his hands on a casualty report and began looking it over.

Jaina Von looked at the holographic display of the region, she had cuts and bruises but was otherwise unharmed. She says, “We lived.”

“We had Jedi in the temple, at least one, dead now. Still assessing what they were after, one of their agents tripped a security grid and our slicers are still trying to crack it,” Captain Harad adds. An obsidian dagger is lodged firmly in his shoulder, but he does not seem to let it slow him down.

He adds calmly, “With the massassi forces we can secure the region.”

Sylvain's eyes widened slightly at the mention of Kristal's name... and that she had lost an arm. Quickly regaining his composure he typed in the information and said, "Noted."

Then looking up at the map of the battle conditions, "What do you make of that collection of biologicals over here?" He pointed to a spot, "It doesn't appear they are massing for an attack; perhaps renegades regrouping for a trek into the jungle to find a new home? Sending in air support to crush them as they regroup would prevent them from a potential reprisal in the future."

Sylvain turned to Von's hologram, "What of the Queen? Do we know of her plans going forward in relation to our presence here? She seems to be the individualistic type, we must make every precaution to make sure our presence remains a dominant feature in her new reign... for better or for worse."

"With the presence of the Jedi that we've come across here, we must assume that the Republic is interested in this sector as well. Perhaps putting this planet directly under the watch of the Minister of War would make sure that the proper military resources are dedicated to its protection. This is a new system... and this new queen's role is still not clear. Keeping them separate from the infrastructure of the Imperial colonies seems the prudent choice... The Office of the Minister could deal directly with the Massassi until the legitimacy of their offers of support can be legitimated."

He then began typing on the notepad, "My experience in negotiations yesterday and this morning gave me some valuable insight. I would like to brief the diplomats being sent over on the topic if I have the opportunity. Please notify them of my desire to speak with them as soon as is possible."

Zeno finally stands up and moves to approach the queen. He gives her a nod of respect. "Congratulations and well fought. It was an honor to see your skill in battle. Undoubtedly you will lead your tribe to conquer this planet."

The midwife of the new Yavin regime watched its foundational act unfold with calmness, disturbed only by an occasional spasm of pain from the wounds. As the Queen was receiving tributes to her leadership she didn't push forth to join the supplicants. Not all needed to know who the Red Wraith was.
