Post subject: | [Day 10 - ME] Final Stand - Event |
The Final Stand Event Type: Mandatory Participants: All Students Timeslots: Mid Evening until it ends… (No Day 10 threads after Mid Evening) Reputation Affected: No Description: The massassi from the south march en masse on the Imperial camp pushing the Imperial forces back to the Ancient Temple to use as a defensive position, with the aid offered by the massassi the Empire… might have a chance versus the thousands of massassi descending upon them with their heads painted white. First due to the Ritual from Sinea everyone gets 1 free Success on all Combat skill checks. This dark side energy takes a toll and it causes 2 strain to all students. Players make 2 choices, one must be Everyone Fights, No one Quits. For 3 additional wounds they can choose another option this also increases the difficulty by 1 each time this is used, only Everyone Fights, No one Quits can be chosen multiple times all other choices are once. So if a player takes two bonus actions they increase the first by 1 and the second by 2. Keep track of your health, you can be knocked out here. The Empire begins with 5 Kill points from the Massassi allies. Captain Harad rallies the Imperials and takes to the front lines to defend the students along with Jaina Von, both are devastating but they alone cannot beat back the massassi! In this event any threat increases strain and advantage can be used to reduce strain. Triumph is worth 3 kill points, success or fail. Despair earns a Critical Injury and these stack like normal injuries. Success is worth 1 kill point, keep track of successes.
Group Reward 0 to 20 Successes: The Empire is overrun, Captain Harad dies and Jaina Von is severely injured and the Empire is routed. The friendly massassi tribe is completely wiped out. 21 to 26 Successes: Captain Harad dies heroically buying time for the Empire while Jaina Von escapes serious harm. The friendly massassi are scattered and that tribe is effectively destroyed. 27to 33 Successes: Captain Harad is severly injured but lives, the friendly massassi suffer heavy losses but will survive. The Empire decides to leave Yavin IV with a very light presence. 34 to 39 Successes: The Empire beats back the massassi with heavy losses but secure the Ancient Temple and now have strong massassi allies. 40+ Successes: Dominating Imperial victory, the Imperial forces easily route the massassi and establish a strong surface presence, the students are hailed as heroes and feature prominently in future propaganda. The massassi will be uplifted and allowed as player species if the future. Destiny Used: Jun-Tsu Farro, Baesal Zyn, Nunki Malyna, Remmington Thalalas, Jo’ren Rath, Xevine Distraacht, Niriti, Dendrick Miloy, Sarna Kolyarn, and Sinea Okatesh |

Starting off in one of the gunnery positions, Zeno let a few bolts rip through the crows of the oncoming massassi. The shots were effective and many fell. The sith-blood then leapt into the midst of combat from the mount position and began cutting down the natives with unbridled fury, his twin blades carving through them left and right. If the other students fought as hard as he did this would certainly be a devastating massacre against those that chose to rise against the Empire. Lightsaber (Brawn) - 1eP+1eA+2eD+2eB = 5 successes, 1 advantage (Void Engine Boost used) (bonus success from Ritual) (2 strain from ritual, 2 strain from Everyone Fights, No One Quits; 5 kill points) Atop the ancient temple, Jun-Tsu worked with Sinea to enact the ritual, sending the blessings of the Dark Side pulsing out over the Sith and their Massassi allies. Her hands moved in complex gestures, a materialized mist of energy pouring off of her form as she did so. A manifestation of the Dark Side, it poured into the altar to be used and shaped by Sinea who led the rite. She chanted and writhed with the primordial ways of her family's rituals, which, while primitive seeming, were no less effective. As the ritual continued, however, a group of Massassi had scaled to the temple summit, overrunning the guards there who had been too preoccupied keeping back the hoard to worry about a single group clambering up the side. Jun-Tsu pulled the saber from her hip and its blade flared into life in a deadly arc to cut down the first, then another. It was remarkable how effective the blade was as it cut through the primitives who barely stood a chance against one trained by the oldest of jen'jedai houses. Force Power: Harm - 2eF = 2 Dark Side (3 Dark Side) (3 wounds; 6 kill points) The threat dealt with, the witch returned to the ritual. Her magic poured out into the altar and even as Sinea continued to evoke the enchantment that kept their soldiers strong, Jun-Tsu knew she could do more. She stopped in her ecstatic movements and offered a vicious smile. Beside the Sith mystic, Jun-Tsu wove her own family's magic, lacing it through the spell. Across the battlefield a soft green haze hung low about the feet of the combatants. Most were too busy to even take notice, others didn't care. But they did note once some of the Massassi began to whither and dessicate before their eyes. Throughout the battlefield, the life force of their enemies was drawn from their bodies and added to the mists. Jun-Tsu laughed in the storm, drenched in the warm rain, hands gesturing to the energies, pulling it from their enemies and.... Medicine (Intellect) - 1eP+2eA+1eC+2eD+2eF = 1 success, 1 threat, 3 Dark Side (4 Dark Side) (3 strain from Triage; 5 kill points) ...into their allies. At her ministrations, broken bones popped back into place of their own accord. The hungry mist poured over the fallen, binding their gashes and sealing their wounds. Jun-Tsu began to chant again, falling to her knees and calling to the Dark-light of the Force to deliver them victory through power and strength. And each moment that passed seemed validation of her faith as more of their enemies fell before her magic and more allies rose, renewed. (6 wounds, 7 strain; 16 kill points) |

Fighting wasn't her strong suit, even with the Force aiding her, So Sinea was soon struck by a seething scoundrel. Nonetheless, she tried agan, relying on her sense of the future to place the lightsaber into proper places, just as her enemies were stepping up to be killed. It was successful. Finally, she decided to whip the MAssassi into shape... "Come on you red weaklings, show them what the proper servants of the Sith can do. Stand up straigth and get those scum!" The day would come down in the collective memory of the Gunda by many names, but one of the would be: the Rise of the Red Wraith. They would keep telling their children tha the Great Yavin himself sent his ghostly avatar to aid the Gunda in their ultimate battle against the Yubashi. [Wearing Mask of Yavin] [Strain 2/11(13-2)] [Wounds: 0/12] It would be said that the Red Wraith emerged among the great spears of red fire with which she fell numerous Yubashi, hurling them by riding a great roaring phallus of doom, channeling the primal rage of Yavin unleashed against the enemies of the Gunda. She sustained grave wounds, but she shrugged them away. --- ME10. Final Stand. Bigger Guns. 1 Success from Ritual, 2 Strain, 2 wounds: 3eA+1eD 4 successes [Strain 2/11] [Wounds: 2/12] [Successes: 5] --- Then, when Yubashi waves stormed the threshold of the temple, she cast against them the exploding feces of Yavin, soiling the enemies of Gunda forever in unholy impurity of his rage. --- ME10. Final Stand. Everyone Fights, No-one Quits. 1 Success from Ritual, 2 Strain. Ranged (Light) Setback.: 1eP+2eA+2eD+1eS 1 success, 1 advantage [Strain: 3/11] [Wounds: 2/12] [Successes: 7] --- But a moment of trial came when the Yubashi stormed the steps with renewed ferocity, angered by the curses the Red Wraith had brought upon them from Yavin himself. But the avatar of the Round God cared not for the spears hurled against her but took a stand among the Gunda. There were moments when it seemed all hope would fail as she was hidden from light by the throngs of furious enemies. At the final moment, however, a rallying shriek that pierced the skies with indomitable power brought faithful warriors to her side so the Yubashi shouldn't pass. --- ME10. Final Stand. Defensive Position. 1 Dark Side (Mask). Leadership. Setback. Hard. Influence - Control. 3 wounds, 2 strain.: 3eA+3eD+1eS+1eF 1 failure, 2 threat, 2 Light Side [Destiny to convert Light Side to Dark: Conflict & Strain] [3 Dark Side for Success] [Strain: 9/11] [Wounds: 5/12] [Successes: 9] --- In the final moments of battle, would step up to the front lines once again to hurl horrible curses on the Yubashi, summoning the rage of Yavin against them, and all Gunda saw how their enemies' ranks shattered and scattered, their fear haunting them to their deaths at the Gunda axes. --- ME10. Final Stand. Force is Strong. 6 Wounds. 1 Dark Side.: 1eF 1 Dark Side [2 Dark Side for Double Success] [Strain: 9/11] [Wounds: 11/12] [Successes: 13] --- Some would think the Red Wraith fell that day from her many wounds, but most would insist the Yavin himself took her back so she could return the next time the Gunda and their Queen would ever face the direst of trials. There were other tales spun, but one was indisputable. The legend of the Red Wraith of Yavin would live on. [+13 Kills] |

Rumun was not a soldier, he didn't have any combat training but he was here to help with the defense. First, he engaged with several massasi warriors. He ignited his double-bladed lightsaber but his lack of training was not very helpful. In any case, he was lucky as he found himself among a company of several imperial soldiers. Fighting with them could make things easier. Rumun concentrated into the force and applied his knowledge of the mind to break two Massassi warriors. Their weak minds succumbed to his power, paralizing them for a moment, moment that was used by the imperials to kill them. Finally, the Duros encouraged the imperials to keep fighting. He made a inspirational speech, elevating the morale and fighting spirit of the men and women. The Emperor's finest followed the Duros to victory. ******************* [OOC - Rolls] D10 - The Final Stand; Everyone Fights, No one Quits; Lightsaber; 1 bonus Succes: 1eA+2eD+1eS 2 failures, 2 advantage [2 Strain with Ritual; 0 successes; 2 Strain by path, Reducing strain by two with advantages] Total: 2 Strain D10 - The Final Stand; The Force is Strong; Force Check: 1eF 2 Light Side Using destiny to use darkside [1 Strain by destiny, 1 Conflict, 3 Wounds, 2 Kill points] Total: 3 Strain, 1 Conflict, 3 Wounds, 2 Kill Points D10 - The Final Stand; Defensive Positions; Aditional Action 3 Wounds, Hard Dif, No Setback (talent): 2eA+1eP+3eD 1 success [3 Wounds, 2 Strain, 1 Success] Total: 6 Wounds, 5 Strain, 3 Kill Points, 1 Conflict FINAL TOTAL: 6 wounds, 5 Strain, 3 Kill Points |

Post subject: | Re: [Day 10 - ME] Final Stand - Event |
This was the moment they had been waiting for since Sinea's vision back on Korriban. There would be blood, and there would be death. It would be a battle for the ages... As the hordes attacked, Jo'ren picked out Zeno Deathwright from amongst his fellow defenders. They were the top students in lightsaber combat from this graduating class. Then there was the matter of Gerald. Although Jo'ren had achieved something of a state of inner peace after his visit with Exar Kun it still felt like his duty to Gerry to kill more of the attackers than Zeno. So he nodded to the man and started shouting his kill count. It seemed like the thing to do. To start with he fired the heavy guns, bringing down three of the white-faced Massassi. Deathwright had killed more, that would not do. So Jo'ren Rath leapt into the horde and became the whirling doom he was always meant to be. Another six bodies dropped almost instantly, detatched limbs flying in all directions. But he didn't stop there. In an almost obscene act of bravery he just kept fighting right in the thick of it. Surrounded on all sides his kills mounted until he began to be overwhelmed, but the tide was turning. Even when it looked as though he shouldn't be able to go on, Jo'ren found time for one more kill. When it was over he smiled at Zeno fiercely. "You fought well Zeno Deathwright. I beat you by one kill." ----------------- Rolls 1. Bigger Guns: 3eA+1eD Day 10. Final stand. Roll 1. Bigger Guns. Remmington is ready having been warned in advance from Jun-Tsu. Despite feeling feverish he fights as well as he can. He first mounts one of the canons to lay fire into the savages. Then following that he gets up close and personal with his lightsaber. Using a single hand style in combat his white-red saber elegantly cuts through his enemies. Once the battle is over he flicks off his lightsaber and merely looks over the battlefield. Then he looks around to make sure everyone is alright. Bigger Guns - Round 1 Gunnery/Agility. Niriti held her Shoto blade in front of her, ready for the incoming marabunta of creatures coming towards their encampment. The woman held her stand fighting those coming towards her. She could barely count them as they rushed around and around, until she thought herself in a sea of massassi. Her red blade swooped and split heads and arms as they passed by while she stepped back slowly, reaching the temple where she tried to order the Imperials around, feeling confident of her orders. Nonetheless it seemed as the imperials that she would try to order were pushed away from their ordered positions, and her logical leadership was disdained for survival. A spear hit the woman in her side as she made tactical view of the temple. With an angry turn, Niriti turned to her attacker and slit his head with great ease. Not satisfied in her anger, she killed another pair until she found herself settled, but the battle continued and many more fell under her sword. -Everyone Fights, no one Quits. Shaisha was not used to fighting large hordes. A pack of tuk'ata was fine, a gang of criminals was fine... more Massassi than she could count at a glance; not exactly what the Shien practicioners specialised in, and she soon found that her study of the terrain mattered very little when the high ground only put her on even ground with her opponent. At least she managed to catch a pair of Massassi by surprise, as she noticed the grenade belt of a fallen soldier and through the Force moved it closer to them like she had seen Khalim do against Death's Shadow. It proved effective enough. All in all, she survived, and they were victorious. But where had Kristal gone off to...? --- D10 The Final Stand. #1. Everyone Fights.
