The Dark Academy on Korriban

Sweat combined with the rain that covered Jun-Tsu. Gone were her robes and veil in favor of something that was far easier to maneuver in the jungle. It was so much like her homeworld. Wet, rainy, jungled, and dangerous. With a final grunt, she made it down to the ground, her hydro-glider and parachute still tangled in the branches up top.

On her back was her satchel and at her hip her saber. Crouching low, she peered through the forest, listening intently, and letting her senses flow into the environment around her.

Darth Traya hisses, “These Sith seem to value insanity more than knowledge. They have a fascination with finding novel ways to try and kill you and your fellow aspirants. They do not deserve the name, Sith.”

"Zhank you for zhat. At least it izn't just me." She agreed under her breath, though there was a certain part of her that appreciated the cruelty of it. Besides, she could see Zeno now, in her mind, gliding right to the rendezvous point in record time. No doubt his Deathwright training made this a walk in the park.

She, meanwhile, readjusted her pack, secured it better, and then got up to begin her long....LONG trek to camp. She looked at how she had landed and from there tried to figure out the direction.

"Zhey are not creating Sith, master. Zhey are creating soldiers. Fodder for zhe front lines of zhe var. Zhey could care less about our mastery of zhe Force."

“I see that now, they give you lightsaber and fill your heads with delusions and proclaim you Sith. They insult those that have come before who truly understood power,” Darth Traya replies.

“Now that we are here, there is something we can look into. It will require the Void Engine and blood.”

"I've zhe relic, und I offer all zhat iz mine zhat I need to give," it was an easy promise for the time being, and the Darth had yet to ask anything terribly untoward.

"Vhat vould you have me do?" She crouched down behind a thick root as it angled away from one of the massive arbors that seemed to create this jungle. She peered over the cover to spy her surroundings.

“We will need a personal sacrifice, it is a woman’s special place to bring life into this world if they so choose. I wish to supplant the entity inside the Void Engine and take its place but we first need to move it elsewhere. Your unborn child will suffice,” Darth Traya says.

That caused Jun-Tsu to freeze, and her mouth to momentarily dry. She had worked so hard to refine herself enough to conceive a pure Dark-child. Now she was going to give it up. She held to the root wall in front of her and took a knee.

"I...," her mind raced with what she could possibly say. "I azzume zhere is no other vay."

It was hardly a question.

“I have no desire to suffer living and this child is the most expedient path. This growth inside you will live and have the absorbed dark side of the Void Engine, and I shall have access to the infinite knowledge of the Void Engine. A small sacrifice, that will net much for us both,” she says.

“You hesitate?”

"N...No, master." She steeled herself. "Vhat must I do? Vhere must I go?"

“There is a sacred place we can go, I will guide you. There you will expose your unborn child to the purest of dark side energies and together we shall give birth to a deity worthy of the Dark Side,” she says placing a hand on Jun-Tsu’s stomach.

She looked down to her master's hands then back up. In a small way a tinge of jealousy spiked through her. This notion of her child receiving so much power when she desired it so greatly. Briefly she wondered at the possibilities of taking the energies for herself. But how?

She cleared her mind and nodded, "Show me zhe vay und I vill follow. I vould zee zhe powver of zhe Woid Engine be vithin me."

“You want the power for yourself… if it could be, then I would see it done but such power would destroy you. In this child it will have time to suffuse her, make her more powerful than any could dream and you will be her teacher. You will be the guiding hand behind her power,” Darth Traya says.

She then goes into depth into what is needed, arcane ritual and steely nerves to do what must be done.

Jun-Tsu bowed her head, she had to have faith. Faith in the Umbră-Ușoară, that it has sent Darth Traya, her master, to guide her along the path and that she would not lead her false.

"It vill be done, master. It vill all be done as you have ordered."

Darth Traya fades.

Jun-Tsu watched the apparition dissipate, but did not feel alone. She knew the ancient shade still watched her. She pushed the thought from her mind like she did so often, and instead continued on her trek back to the camp. It would be some time before she would get there, but in that time she would be able to get the lay of the land and the feel of the jungle. Perhaps even remember, after all these weeks away from Korriz, what it was like to live in the damp forests such as these.
