The Dark Academy on Korriban

Zeno approached the observatory with his companions... short one from the previous night. He was curious as to the location of Baesal, but figured she might be helping with the preparations for the coming battle.

Sylvain showed up again. A fairly useless piece in the puzzle, but an interested one nonetheless.

Moyr brought the Duros scholar with her. They had exchanged introductions with on the way. She said no word about Baes' whereabouts, just that she couldn't find her.

"Okay, Rum, let's sit down here so I can bring you up to speed on what we're looking for."

"Are you familiar with astral navigation?" Zeno asks the apparently new brain of the operation. If he was that would likely make things significantly easier, but if not he can help provide input on the basics.

Rumun was here to help Moyr. He didn't know much about the details of this whole thing, but he promised that if the Twi'lek needed his help he will gladly aid her, in whatever endeavour.

'' Lord Deathwright, Lord Torsin '' He bow to the two other aspirants. '' I don't know the specifics of Astral Navegation I'm afraid, but my species do have a natural talent for it, so perhaps, I could help a bit.'' He replied with his raspy voice.

"That should be helpful then," Zeno replies with a nod.

"The data Moyr?" he asks, turning to his Twi'lek comrade.

Moyr turned on her datapad.

"You see, Rum, on Korriban we pursued the tracks Lord Hazzan had left behind there. We got this astromap from one of his tombs, and it was actually a pattern that overlaid well on Korriban topography and guided us where we could find more of Hazzan's lore. Part of it was learning about his travels. He was here many centuries ago, and may have coded something in what's observable from this place."

She pointed to the stars and the great orb of Yavin.

"So far we've failed to find a pattern here. We only know that the other spot is on Nal Hutta."

She let Rum browse through the material, previous days' photos included.

"I had trouble sorting through how they had the data laid out, so I couldn't read the maps. If you could assist with that I may be able to help you read them more accurately," Zeno says to the xeno.

'' Hmm, interesting'' Rumun said as he looked the datapad and listened to their explanations.

'' Well let's see what we can do, I will gladly help you with this research''

Zeno leaned over the data with Rumun, providing what assistance he can to the Duros sith to be.

OOC: If you want the Duros bonus you have to roll. Astrogation roll at Hard with a setback due to the rain.

The duros looked at the sky. He tried to discover the coordinates by looking at the sky patterns.

This was harder than he expected but with Zeno's help and his own natural talents and intellect he found something, or so he thinks...

His keen eyes and insights into the movements of stars picks out an irregularity, a nebulae that he can barely pick out but with more fine equipment he could easily see. It could be significant considering he does not recognize it being on any active charts or hyperspace routes that he is aware of.

'' There! Did you noticed that, Lord Deathwright? There's a nebulae right there. It's barely distinguishable. There's no hyperspace lanes around it nor any information in any astral charts, but all patterns and information lead us to this single point on the void '' He show his results to Zeno and the others.

"Indeed. It's quite out of place. It seems odd that something like that would be missing... perhaps it's only observable from here? But what could cause that?" Zeno doesn't really know how to make sense of it but it certainly is there.

"Great find, Rum! If there's no lane, what's the nearest star system one could get there from? This?"

'' Hmm I don't know, but with better equipment, I guess, we can discern with more precision the nebulae's surroundings'' He says as he kept looking at the charts and the sky.

'' Well, In any case I believe that what you are looking for is in or around that nebulae vicinity '' He said. '' Perhaps there's a secret hyperspace lane...''

"Well... if you're going looking for the nebula soon I probably won't be able to come with," he replies. "After I get back to Korriban I'll be heading out on an expedition with Lord Zash."

"What do you mean by better equipment?"

She just nodded at Zeno's words for now.

'' Perhaps some more accurate electrotelescopes or using a starship scanning arrays focused on that area of space. Here on land it is much more difficult to get the clear picture. But in space without the interference from light, rain and the atmosphere it would be easier to discern the surroundings and interior of that nebulae, Moyr '' He politely explained to Moyr.

"I wonder if we'll be able to try inspecting it when we're back in the orbit."

Moyr mused, looking toward the red gas giant that whose dark spell was becoming a part of her.

"We'd need permission from the captain, and they may not even have the proper equipment," Zeno replies. "But worth looking into. But it would also leave logs and they'd likely ask what you wanted to use the equipment for." Zeno thinks of Baesal then, and as he doesn't know where she is doesn't really think twice of invoking her expertise. "But perhaps Baesal has the know-how to slice the ships systems to use any potential equipment without anyone knowing."

"We'll see about that. I'll talk to her."

Moyr said casually, then looked at Syl.

"So, some leisurely Yavin-gazing or are we heading back to join the war?"

Looking down at his communicator, "We have to get back. Looks like the Yubashi will be arriving soon."

"Spilling some savage blood is up your alley, Zeno, right?"

She looked at Rumun then, producing her mask.

"Hate is to be unleashed, Rum."

She donned it, sending the last smile before it to Syl.

"Upon those who are weaker than us."

After pulling the hood of her cloak onto her head, the Red Wraith moved to blaze their path back, toward the bloodbath.
