"I agree with that," he says. "I can attempt to scout clear paths around the area. But there is no point in reminding us of the danger."

Sylvain shrugged. "Well someone have a direction they'd like to go?"

Taking a moment to ensure they weren't headed in the path of the Massassi village to the south, Kristal set out one foot after the other in a random other direction. As it had occurred to her no one was decided on where exactly they were going. Merely she decided to move instead. Had to be better than nothing.

zeno put his helmet back on an began to move as swiftly and quietly as he could.

Under the urging forward of Kristal Serasai three broken people walked off into forests of Yavin IV with the intention of finding and uncovering one of the moons many and certainly ancient secrets.

Zeno listened for the orders, but was extremely distracted by something. It was like he was only hearing half of them.

Kristal was made angry, she was still angry, and that meant that doing her best to take down this creature was EXTREMELY soothing. Relaxing even. It calmed her nerves quite a bit.

Thanks to the keen leadership of Sylvain even though Zeno exposes himself to the creature it was all according to plan as Kristal brings it down with a master stroke. The best is felled with great effort and great skill.

OOC: Much meat for the camp.

Sylvain smiled at both of them weakly. "Good job Kris. You'll get 'em next time Zeno."

He then approached the animal to begin looking it over.

"Don't patronize. I failed due to being distracted," he says, flatly. "I missed half of your orders."

The cut down beast was looked at. This was not his kill. He simply watches and waits for any others threats to show.

"We can use this for the camp. It was a team effort and the soldiers there will be grateful for it. We failed or succeeded together. That is all there is to it."

Kristal spoke coolly. Coldly even.

Sylvain nodded in agreement with Kristal, "Exactly, the half you did listen to let Kris take it down. It was a team effort."

"If we're going to take it back we should do some basic prep work on it. We should probably call with coordinates and wait for slaves to come take care of it. Other creatures will eat it if we leave it alone," Zeno replies, not responding to the other comments. They could believe what they wanted. They did not know what he was currently wrestling with.

"See it done," was all Kristal said as she walked off a bit from the two of them. Just enough to feel as if she was standing apart from them but not quite out of sight. Given the separation she took a moment to breath.

Zeno calls for the slaves.

He then moved to join Kristal. "You are right to be upset with my substandard performance. I am distracted by thoughts of betrayal. Someone I trusted has broken that bond and I am still working through it. I will endeavor to ensure I am free of such when next we work together."

"I will do the same," she said with a flat tone, cutting off the words short.

Kristal didn't allow him any chance to see it before perhaps, she still didn't. Only now perhaps was there a possibility at understanding that she quite understood what it felt like to be betrayed. Little did they both know in both their cases it was a betrayal of heart. It was clear enough she wished to speak none of it.
