The Dark Academy on Korriban

"Should've brought a drink perhaps?" Asked Xevine with a smile, while she decided to look for some physical clues.

[OOC: Perception/Survival roll perhaps?]

OOC: Average roll for Perception or Survival and you can assist each other. Khalim notices a structure that looks similar to his research for one of the lords, Romet Vun.

((OOC: I have neither skill, and thus cannot assist. However...))

Khalim peers off a bit into the distance, and then adjusts the magnification on his scanner goggles.

"Hmm... Interesting..."

He then references his datapad again, and nods.

"Do you see those ruins over there?"

He gestures in the direction of a tomb which appears to be...-maybe- not quite a tomb...but possibly part crashed starship?

"Let us investigate them. They seem like they may hold promise."

He then begins heading in the direction of that tomb, staying clear of the pack of tuk'ata.

Xevine looked at the ground, and tried to remember what hr father taught her of how a scout operates. Look for signs, and be sure to assess their age.

She smiled as she found a path. Thanks dad.

"Sure. Let's go this way. Rather not sprain my ankle. Or fall down a ravine."

Survival (Cunning): 1eA+1eP+2eD 2 successes, 2 threat

He then realizes, "Ah, it may be wise to bring the survival pack with us. There are a few useful items within, particularly if trouble befalls us."

He heads back to his speeder, pulls the pack out of storage, and slings it across his back. After he gathers it, he begins to follow Xevine down the path she found.

(OOC: you can assist without the skill. it provides a single boost die. just for clarification for the future)

"Sounds good. Lead the way," Zeno says as he starts following along. He keeps his sword out and at the ready. There are tuk'ata around after all.

The journey to the structure brings the size of it into full scope. It is easily a hundred meters tall and perhaps a kilometer in length, much of it covered in sand and dust. It must have been here for ages upon ages. There are many openings in the rusting metallic hull.

The tuk’ata howl in the distance…

Khalim peers in through one of the holes, turns to the others, and asks, "Shall we see what is inside, then?"

He smiles, "The report of this ship, if it is in fact the command vessel of Romet Vun, is that it is likely filled with a great wealth of treasures. He was a pirate and warlord, it seems."

"Sounds like something worth looking into," he says with a nod. "Let's proceed."

Khalim climbs in through the hole in the wreckage, using his scanner goggles to see in the darkness within the wreck. His saber in hand, he moves slowly and cautiously, unsure of the stability of the aging wreckage.

Zeno follows in behind, giving the pure blood enough space to move comfortably. He also flips his scanner goggles to night vision.

Khalim murmurs quietly, "Be wary. Who knows what defenses remain in this vessel. Droids or other systems may still exist, and may even be active."

OOC: Flipping a die, carry on.

The interior is a mess, it seems at one time it may have been well a ship but now it is tangled mess of exposed wires and shattered walls. It smells of animal, decay, and rusting metal. Many of the walls to have been shattered with great force, it feels more like a lair than a ship now.

More importantly the dark side is strong here.

Khalim slowly makes his way into the vessel, keeping an eye out for anything of interest or anywhere that seems to have survived the years any better than other parts of the ship.

OOC: Average difficulty with a setback due to the shattered interior.

Zeno does what he can to assist in the search.

OOC: +1 Boost die to assist.

Unfortunately, he doesn't really seem to find much amongst the wreckage of the ship.

"Hmm, seems to largely be a maze of debris at this point. Perhaps if we go deeper in, either up or down, the structure will improve?"

Exploring the Vessel: 2eA+1eB+2eD+1eS 1 failure

"I'm not seeing anything either." Zeno flips over a piece of rubble to find... more rubble.

"Cant' hurt to go deeper, unless it does. But we won't know until we do."

Khalim leads the group deeper into the vessel, looking for any paths up or down, or any sections that are less...destroyed.

There is a path upwards it looks like one of the floors collapsed through the others and this ramp now lead sup about twenty meters deeper into the heart of the ship.

"Well, let's see if we can find the bridge... Perhaps that'll give us some idea of where to look for the treasures."

He heads toward the ramp leading up, and begins to lead the group up it into the heart of the ship.

The sith-blood follows after the man in the lead. He considered saying that he should probably take the lead, what with his faster reflexes and lower likelihood of dying if something goes wrong... but hey, if the guy in front bites it then the treasures only get split two ways.

It does not take the Force to tell that something lingers just out of sight. The tuk’ata are here, when one looks away one leers hungrily and then scurries into the shadows. But it does feel like they might be herding the group… and the pull of the dark side grows stronger.

"Alright," Zeno says. "Behind me."

He readies his sword and develops a case of gleeful grinning.
