The Dark Academy on Korriban

Sylvain shrugged, "Maybe. This just means you gotta answer my calls next time Shai." He said with a teasing tone.

He took a good look at her, not yet half dressed and holding a lightsaber, "That's a great look for you Shai."

"The lightsaber does add a flair to it, yeah," she teased back.

"It's yours though. Well, yours or Kris', depending on which one of you win the argument over who deserved it the most." Shaisha gave it another look over, resisting the urge to ignite it. Would be hard to give it back if she did that.

With a light gesture, she tossed it back.

"I had some things I needed to look into today... didn't want to trouble both of you with it."

Sitting up, he caught the lightsaber and dropped it back onto the pile of clothes that was his. "Oh yeah? What stuff?"

"After the party last night... I don't remember anything. I woke up this morning, still fully dressed, but in dirty clothes, sitting on the bed." She paused in her dressing, showing off some cuts on her legs and arms, "and with this."

"I didn't really wake up either. More like I had been closing my eyes for a long time, and then suddenly opened them again."

He looked concerned, "Did you figure out what happened? Did you get a ghost too yesterday?"

"No... no ghost. At least not that I know of."

She shook her head.

"... I had a vision instead. Of the future, I'm certain."

"A vision?" He asked, "What did you see?"

"My father."

Shaisha finished putting on her belt. Never hurt to be prepared at the Academy, even in the quiet hours.

"In the vision I saw, he was torn between two paths. The one before him, there was a vessel of light. And behind him there was a wound in the universe. I was in the wound, and I called out to him, but he turned away, and approached the light instead. As he entered the light, he stained it with his darkness, making a dark silhouette of him inside the light."

Sylvain listened carefully then asked, "What do you think it means?"

"Not sure... and I don't know if it has anything to do with my, hm, temporary blank memory. I just don't like too much weird stuff happening at once."

She folded her arms across her almost bare chest. "Don't think it's the same as it was with you, though. But it's all worrying me."

He stood up and walked up behind her. Wrapping his arms around her waste he gave her a passionate squeeze.

"Don't worry too much. It's a waste to fix your mind on what can't bear fruit. 'Figure out a plan of attack and execute that plan.' is what the Minister always says."

He chuckled, "But you can't do that if you don't know the problem."

"Yeah, I know. Minister Torsin sits and carefully plans out every little thing; you know I make things up as I go." She leaned back into his body.

"When I figure things out more, I'll let you know."

"I'll keep my ears open too." He said. "Though I think you may have damaged one with your biting." He raised his hand up to his ear smiling.

"Totally worth it."

"Tch, toughen up, Syl," she nudged him in the side. "Gotta make up for the fact that Kris took all the beating for you."

"So what else did you find on your trip?"

He chuckled, "Oh yeah. I guess I left that part out... We found the base because I came across a Jedi holocron who had the coordinates. We raided the archives for information, but they were a bit decayed and jumbled. The holocron has them stored now and she's working on making the files functional."

He smiled, "Probably will end up being a pretty decent find. But it'll take some convincing to get it out of her. I may just leverage it for favor with someone like Zash or Baras. I think they'd both like to have access to that type of info once it's ready."

"A holocron? And now a lightsaber..." she shook her head. "I'm jealous now."

"It could certainly score you a good point with any potential master. I saw the Minister speaking with some of the Darths and Lords yesterday."

He nodded, "I saw him after the party."

Then asked, "Was Lord Baras one of them?"

"No... Lord Baras was, oddly enough, absent from the party. I would've thought he would be there, as he's one of those looking around for a new apprentice. If word is to be believed, that is."

She shrugged. "Guess he had something else to do."

"Hmmm.... I have to get some face time with him..." He said, more to himself than Shaisha.

"An acquaintance of mine tried to cast aspersions on Lord Zash... hinted about some type of strange occurrence with her last apprentice."

He shrugged, "I think I've narrowed down my search to those two for now. Now I just need to figure a bit more about them. You still after Marr?"

"Maybe. Not many people looked in my direction last night, apart from the Headmaster. Hardly the star of the evening. Darth Marr requested to speak with Kris though," she shot a smile at Syl then.

"So what's this about an acquaintance, and Lord Zash?"

He smiled, "She told me. Apparently he's super dreamy."

Then responded to her second question, "The Twi'lek aspirant named Moyr Ahaya. She's not been fairing too well on any of the tests, but she appears to be somewhat resourceful."

He shrugged, "She often speaks in riddles and deliberately indirect language so it's hard to tell, but she wanted me to look into it. I'm thinking she's hoping I'll find something and stop chasing after Zash. Probably just a bit of subterfuge, but it would also make sense if she gave me a clue that turned out to be right so I'd trust her more the next time."

He smiled and stretched his back out, "Been too busy to put much thought into it today."

Shaisha tried to recall the acolyte in question... sure, she recalled seeing her around, but nothing really stuck out about her from Shaisha's experience. "Hanging around twi'lek women? Didn't think that was your style," she teased him, and picked up her last bits of clothing.

"Sounds like a devious one, from what you say."

He nodded, "She is. No care for the Empire at all... real danger of being another Jadus that one."

Or worse.

"Sounds like you've been making contacts with different kinds of people the past days. Anyone else interesting?"

"Several, actually. A creepy aspiring witch with an almost unhealthy tie to the ancient ways of the Sith. A helpful Sith noble who was quite central in helping me get out of a bit of trouble this morning. A mechanic who is looking to join the cool kids if he can. A Zabrak with a health sense of adventure. And a trained pilot who is looking for some buddies to go out with him into the wastes."

He smiled, "To name a few."
