Stupid question, but determining Destiny Point is just rolling a Force die, right? :?

Every player does at the start of a session, which creates a pool the players and GM can use.

I'm not sure how it'll work in this, though, since when you're at a table with other players you can discuss Destiny Point use.

Here, one player could just burn through all the Destiny Points in one thread, theoretically, leaving none for anyone else.

Yep, later today I will throw up a thread to determine Destiny for the first session.

Yeah I will find a happy middle round, maybe a limit per game day not sure.

Well that is until the GM uses the Dark side... or is it Light Side in this case to bring up some bad results right? No worries Shaisha, I'm still a noob and learning all this stuff too.

How should we handle talents that modify opposing dice pools? For example, Intimidating allows me to add difficulty dice to someone trying to Coerce me (I think that is what "upgrade difficulty" means)

When the player does their roll, should I roll a Difficulty die separately, and modify the result accordingly? Or indicate that they should be rolling with a modified pool? Intimidating requires the use of strain, so I'm not sure I'll always be spending it....

If they make a roll just advise them to add the dice if it upgrades then they may have to reroll, to be safe if you intend to make a roll versus another character send them a PM, if NPC just send me one.

For the destiny points... also at a game table you wouldn't generally use destiny points against a fellow player, which might be far more prevalent here with the nature of the sith academy.

Quite true.

Here, we may burn through multiple destiny points in one go as two people who are facing each other both use Destiny to improve their odds.

Then that one guy who's off alone in the death caves who was really banking on having a Destiny point to spend finds out "well, shit, there's none left because Jackass #1 and Jackass #2 were busy using up all the force while slap fighting teach other".

Apologies if this was mentioned elsewhere, but I wanted to confirm before making the thread.

Pre-Game is set up the day prior to arriving at Korriban correct?

Aiming for a "We're almost there." kinda vibe in a possible thread.

Is it alright if we finish our shopping during pregame?

Bought the rulebook today and realised there was some more stuff I wanted. :)

Will our destiny points be the light or dark ones?

Also: will the destiny pool still be communal even if PvP occurs?

Sry if that was already answered

PvP directly is highly discouraged, HIGHLY DISCOURAGED.

You will use the Light Ones, Dark Side destiny is all mine.

I'm having trouble understanding how these stackable talents work. For instance if someone gets Parry 3. Parry says that can it may only be used once per hit. So with Parry 3 does that mean that they can Parry a single hit 3 times? Just wondering what the point of stacking more of a talent has.

Stackable talents means that you get a bonus based on talent's stack.

For Parry I think it goes "reduce 2 damage + ranks in Parry"

For some it is "spend strain equal to ranks in [talent] to [upgrade or downgrade roll difficulty"

Yep, just check the talent descriptions, they usually clarify it there.

Star Wars is pretty lenient on crossbreeding, though the image you posted it is unclear if that Trooper actually fathered the children. I am going to go with a maybe and cross that bridge when or if we ever get to that.

You could always use the Pokemon Breeding method. The mother determines the Species :P But they must be of same, or similar, "Egg Type" So no baby insect-humans

So those who rolled the Dark Side on Destiny have no points to use for the first session?

So, if I understand it correctly (from the rules in the book, and how it is here), we have a pool of Destiny Points for the players (Light Side) and a pool for the GM (Dark Side).

So all players draw from the same pool? :)
