The Dark Academy on Korriban

Niriti took a deep breath and awaited in the entrance of the Administration Building. She had a private meeting with another acolyte, and as she waited she balanced her weight on one and the other foot, while brushing her hair with her hand.

The awaited Acolyte joined, sword at her side, and seemingly ready for anything. "Nirit. Nice to see you again."

"Xevine, my dear. Good to see you again." The acolyte observed the sword at the side of her fellow, she herself had a weapon of her own, although weaker, a truncheon hidden in her backpack. She turned towards the building, looking all the way to the top of the tall edifice. I hope we don't have to go door by door. Well we better start at administration and figure out where this Ensign lives at.

Niriti walked up to the entrance of the administration building and questioned the staff at the entrance. "Pardon me, we are looking for one Ensign Hines, please?"

Three Imperial support army personnel are hard at work at the desk and the officer on duty a tall woman with a bald head and dark skin greets them, “Aspirants, how can this Imperial servant assist you?”

"We'd like to talk to Ensign Hines, if possible. Where could we find him?" Xevine practically reigned herself in, not letting the usual arrogance show.

The officer says, “He is in his office and can receive you. Are you reporting a security irregularity?”

“Second floor, first office on the right.”

So security... that sounds about right to help smuggle.

"We are just students worried about security in the Academy, mam. Specially after the dissidents event." Niriti tried to seem as if the mere idea of damaging the dissidents was a fun one, which it was since she had captured one already before, intimidating him till he peed himself. "There might be more heads to bang, and it's always good to have the income if possible." Which could be a plan if she preferred Ensign as a partner.

If allowed, Niriti walked up to the office mentioned and knocked on the door after putting her truncheon on her waist.

Xevine followed Niriti for now, giving a nod to the official. If all worked out well, they might have some nice credits in their hand, and the favor of the local black market, either way.

Ensign Hines was seated at his desk, with a trio of soldiers sitting in a lounge area outside his door. They watch the two students enter.

He looks up and says, “Welcome aspirants, how can this servant of the Empire assist you?”

"Good afternoon." Niriti looked at the man's uniform trying to identify his hierarchy in the military before adding it to her military salutation. "I am acolyte Niriti, and this is my fellow acolyte, Xevine. We have come here to have a word with you, if possible in private." She added as she eyed the soldiers around him, probably his personal protection and that probably knew of his businesses. Just in case the student gave the imperial a hidden underground signal so that he would understand the meaning of their presence their.

The door closes behind them and he says, “How can this Imperial servant be of service.”

OOC: His rank is Ensign.

"We've come in regards to a topic relating to security and commerce." Stated vaguely Xevine, giving the opening to Niriti to follow up.

"We have come across a Twi'lek in the markets, a shady individual who we had to scare a bit. A threat to the stability of the planet Korriban." Niriti stepped close to the table, her hands far from her weapon so that the ensign could feel that they were not a threat at all, which was true until she decided which side to ally to. "I understand that you are the person in charge of security in Korriban."

"Captain Harad is head of security, I have oversight of this locality. You are speaking of Gram, what has he done now?" Ensign Hines asks.

"Oh, it might have been some kind of misunderstanding, cause I had heard that ensign and this Twi'lek were some sort of antagonist." She returned to the military with casual words yet direct eye contact. "But I thought that maybe we could balance this situation, of course supporting the Empire, all while this situation does favor the Empire and my friend and I get some compensation for our help. Of course."

"Lay out your plan, I am listening aspirant," he says with a practiced smile.

"My friend and I were looking for different targets. She, on one hand, requires some special type of equipment that can't be found much in the academy, while I would like to develop some.... work in the area to sustain myself and make some profit. I barely have a couple meager credits." She concluded while she played with her fingernails. "We could get rid of your competition, opposer, whatever you want to call it... if we can get some weapons, and some extra work to create income."

“Well you got me in a bit of a Corellian pickle here, on the one hand what you are saying is pretty much illegal, but on the other hand, having Gram dealt with in a way that could not blow back on the Empire would be very beneficial. I couldn’t say I approve but I would say it would be a service I would be personally thankful for. Thankful enough to offer compensation from our discretionary funds,” he says with a cheerful smile.

“It seems only right.”

"And besides such funds, that would of course be granted completely on our academic merit, would there some space be for some obsolete hardware that is passed its expiration date and is not considered... usable? Officially?" Asked the Zabrak woman.

"We are doing this for the safety of the Empire." She added with dreary puppy eyes. "This man is an addict to illegal substances, and is probably trading them to make our imperial citizens weaker. If we deal with him, the news will probably remember this act, on your behalf, for the safety of Korriban. And all we need, my friend and I, are a couple of blasters, one or two small explosives to deal with him, and the knowledge of his home so we can visit him, and have him handled in the most Imperial way."

“I can probably see if any blasters have failed to meet Imperial standards but explosives,” he chuckles lightly and then tapped his keyboard.

“The Empire is at war, can’t just hand out such goods on a whim. But we don’t want Gram dead, he has some diplomatic ties, but his favored dancer, Glory. I think we could do without her sort around the Spaceport.”

"His dancer? We didn't see no dancer? Only saw him and some type of bodyguard, and some imperial soldiers hanging around him." She recalled vividly the time when they had met the twi'lek and how she awaited the imperials to leave until Gram had called her up. "We did get to understand that he does want you dead, which is why he probably had those imperials around, to bribe them into that. So I don't see why you would still want to hold him alive."

“He wants me dead? Well that’s a shame, we have rules though we can’t just have diplomats turning up dead it’s bad for the Empire. Now if these individuals understand that there are consequences for bad behavior… well that should get the point across,” he says.

“You want to help the Empire you know what needs to be done, up to you.”

"Just have ready all that we would require when it's all done."

Niriti saluted the ensign and left calling Xevine behind her as she left. "We'll make it look like an accident." She whispered to her as they left.
