The Dark Academy on Korriban

Jo'ren borrowed a speeder and took off for the space port. It would be easier to buy what he was looking for out there, and he had a message to send...

Speeding through the rugged terrain he eventually arrived and parked up, locking the machine. His lightsaber was reassuring by its presence.

Before he went anywhere he checked his comlink to see if there were any new messages waiting for him this morning. The number of people who might want his attention was steadily increasing.

There was one waiting message, text from @DarthJerkness.

Jo'ren laughed and found an out of the way place before opening the message. Shopping could wait for this.

He tapped the control to release it, wondering if there was good place to record a holo message around here.

“I am not sure who you think you are but… yeah. Meatbag? Well I don’t want to tax your Sith sensibilities with all that friendship. In fact, offer rescinded!” the message says.

Jo'ren chuckled and typed a response. - Offer rescinded? You know you really have been spending too much time with HK. Maybe you guys should come back for another gig, or am I going to have to visit NS? -

There is about a ten minute gap and then another text message, “They left, I had Jedi business to do and they had… something. It’s good to be back with other Jedi even if it is Nar Shaddaa. Hutts are the worst. THE WORST!”

He sent another reply. - Yeah Hutts suck. Jedi though? Pfft. Should have gone with Infinite. Could be out there having fun making a life for yourself. Now you're not scrubbing underpants. Heh. -

Jo'ren rise and started looking around for the nifty cloak he'd been hoping to buy.

Time passes and another message comes in, “I think I will live not washing underpants, I mean not mine. I wash mine. You know what forget that. How is Korriban, still terrible?”

By this point Jo'ren had found the cloak he was looking for. It was quite tasteful, sleek and black with some red detail.

He threw it on and returned to his conversation. -Korriban is Korriban. My training goes well, I made my lightsaber. I expect to graduate in a few more weeks, and then it'll be time for me adventures...watch out universe.- He didn't mention the killing or the apprenticeship.

Sending the message to Thy he thought for a few moments and keyed in Kalen's details. - I hear you left NS for a bit. New job? Let me know if you're heading my way. -

“Well look at you, you’re almost a grown up Sith? Soon you get your training battleship an can ravage the galaxy… which is weird. You do realize we are opposite sides of this war?” she texts back almost immediately.

There is no reply from Kalen, but he’s a busy fellow.

That brought an amused smile. "Just remember what I said. I meant it. And your war ended 25 years ago, you served your time, you don't owe them anything. Every extra day you have, every day of freedom, is because of me. Go live your life, and for the love of the Force: have some FUN!"

He sent the message. Then 30 seconds later he sent another one. "P.S. You're welcome."

“Being Jedi is a life long calling, once a Jedi always a Jedi. I can’t just quit and I do have fun! Plenty of fun. All of the fun. So when you graduate are you then a Sith Lord? Hows that work?” she texts back after about five minutes.

A few minutes later and another text, “Fine, thanks. You happy?”

-Describe this fun you have. Drinks with friends? Long walks in the park? Hot sex life with the boyfriend you aren't allowed to have? No, I become an apprentice and learn more. Kind of happy, not sure you meant it though. Meatbag."-

“I read… meditate. Fight bad guys. Fight more bad guys. I help the defenseless. I read. See I am a fun magnet. So apprentice huh, does not sound as cool as Knight,” she sends back after a few minutes.

"Oh right, you're covering for how dull your life is by relying on musty old titles as a measure of self-importance. Gotcha! How very Jedi of you...

Fine, 'Knight' does sound better. 'Celibacy' does not."
