Layne stormed in not long after; kicking a droid in the process.

"Aspirant, your foot appears to have suffered an injury, please allo--"

"Get to fucking work," she spat back out as she sat down, turning to Remmington.

"I've had it with her."

Remmington casually waves to Layne. "Yo Layne. So what else has she done to you?"

He ponders something. "I really can't believe that she is so petty to put me into a suicide mission just because I didn't offer her a bribe. I get the feeling that someone is out to get me. Maybe that Queen."

"You were obviously just there so I thought I had a chance, and didn't just try to strike her down rather than walk into her obvious trap."

She crossed her arms; certain of herself.

"Looks like you were just a tool for that bitch. I'm the one she really wanted dead."

"Well that certainly doesn't stand well. I do not appreciate being used as someone's tool like that. Plus she is ruining many prospects for the Empire. Looks like poor acolyte Tala was suckered into doing her dirty work." Remmington comments as the droids attend to him.

He has large scars across his chest. "Are you doing okay there?"

"Yeah. This is nothing," she was in remarkably good condition, despite getting mauled a couple of times and getting caught by that massive explosion of dark energy at the end there."

There was a pause.

"Who the fuck was that Tala anyway? Never seen her before."

Remmington shrugs. "I have no idea. Then again it is a pretty big Academy. There are usually something like 100+ students here even at the worse of times. They are going to try to cull the herd so to speak and see who makes it to the end."

"I guess. The stupidity though! Of thinking we were responsible for that. How the hell could the headmaster not see through that blatant lie?"

Remmington nods. "At the very least it will have meant that we all got by their security. I can imagine the head master chewing out the guards for this one."

"Who gives a shit about them, anyway?"

Probably wasn't the first time the headmaster had chewed them out over letting Layne go places she wasn't supposed to go.

Remmington shrugs. "Well that is one approach I suppose. So aside from getting stuck on this suicide mission. Anything interesting happen with you?"
