Zeno approaches and speaks up first, before the Overseer, despite better judgment telling him to do otherwise. "Ensign. That's quite the trick you've got there. Just curious if you are a student imitating an Imperial officer or an Imperial officer hiding sensitivity to to the dark side. Both situations are pretty interest, considering where you decided to reveal them." He smiles wickedly at the woman.

As he does so he also shifts his senses, relying on the dark side to sense her intentions should he have need to defend himself.

"You shouldn't have done that," Layne said to Veers as she noticed Zeno and an overseer coming over.

"Thanks, Darth Obvious," she said, staring at Zeno.

Remmington continues to work but keeps an eye on the proceedings.

"Keep scrubbing Darth Loudmouth," he replies with a chuckle, keeping his attention on Veers.

Baesal keeps quiet for now but stands on the ready.

You just don't train the force that way if you don't have it...and she would have been noticed if she had...and that was too stupid for her to be an undercover agent

"What are you?"

She dropped the sponge and bucket, and crossed her arms instead as she rolled her eyes at Zeno.

"Best you could come up with?"

A sigh later, and she was looking between Veers and the overseer.

Well, at least this should be interesting.

The Overseer glares and says, “What is the meaning of…” he pauses looking at Veers and says with less anger, “this.”

“Overseer Yufu, my apologies I seem to have manifested force powers. I apologize, profusely. Perhaps I should be punishes. I apologize profusely, I throw myself at your mercy, my dear lord,” she says lowering her head.

OOC: Flip a destiny for Ensign Veers.

The Overseer sighs and says, “Best you come with me Ensign, you lot get back to work!” He places a hand on her shoulder and says with some kindness, “We’ll sort this out, Ensign.”

“Thank you, my lord, I am in your debt,” she says sweetly but with some contrition.

The ensign leaves with Yufu.

"What was that?"

Baesal says with disbelief.

"Just putting in as much effort as you seemed to be capable of," he replied. "Didn't want you to get a headache trying to figure out a proper insult. After all you got a lot of scrubbing left to do."

As the Exchange between the Ensigne and Overseer is ending and they are heading out, he shouts to the overseer, "You want me to watch over this lot Overseer Yufu?"

Yufu nods a bit distracted and shouts, "Yes... sure... see to them!"

She ignored Zeno's comeback.

Huh, maybe not so useless after all... unlike that dumb as rocks overseer.

But not his question to the overseer.

"Well in that case I guess we can blow this assignment off entirely, cause there's no way he's going to manage keeping us in line."

He turns back to them. "Keep scrubbing," he says in a commanding voice. "Especially you," he says pointing to Layne as he pulls out his lightsaber and ancient sword and flips it on.

"You shouldn't do that," Kristal said, seeing to the completion of her task regardless. Though she paused after a second and more properly looked to Zeno.

"Unless you intend to use those weapons, I suggest you put them down immediately."

Kristal took the few steps that placed her beside Layne.

"Good grief"

She shook her head and looked exasperated as Zeno activated his lightsaber.

"Good leadership was not part of the Deathwright curriculum I see."

She looked sternly at Zeno

"Shut that down"

Moyr, for that moment, did little else than shifting the weight from the leg that her lightsabre was holstered to and looking at Sylvain's reaction to the altercation.

"Hello, Rem."

She said casually to Thalalas.

"Oh you're adorable," she said, obviously not impressed even before the got backup from the others. "What are you going to do, cut down a fellow student in full view of the whole school? Do you even know what they'd do to you for that?"

She rolled her eyes and looked down toward the sponge she'd dropped earlier; it started floating in the air.

"Assuming you even lived through the attempt, of course."

The sponge started floating towards the wall as she directed it with her left hand, doing a half-assed job of scrubbing it.

"I only intend to use them if people don't get back to work. If that happens there there won't be a need for them," he replies. "The overseer left me in charge and my authority was immediately challenged. You'll work and finish your punishments. And if you want to find out how likely I am to survive in a fight with you, find me in the training yard some time. I'll show you just how unrefined your skill is and that there are others with as much talent by my own hand."

Sylvain was disturbed by a kortherfly that flew past his head and began circling him while the altercation started up.

Seeing some type of problem Sylvain walked over and looked over the situation.

Walking up he took an assessment of what was taking place and listened for a moment.

"If you had to flip on your saber to assert your authority then you had none to begin with"

Baesal was already pissed and she prefered Layne to Zeno anyways

Moyr wasn't going to step away even though her powers may have appeased some hot heads. She even berated Baesal for doing so in her thoughts. But she was very curious whether Sylvain was going to.

"Her disregard for the leadership of the academy is not my lack of authority. It is her failing to understand the hierarchy. And it is not infrequent for those above to use sabers on those below who do not know that lesson," he says. And that was an awful truth of this academy.

Sylvain put his hand on Zeno's shoulder. "There's no reason to draw your weapon Zeno. I know Aspirant Serasai to be the type that would stay past her duty to make sure she did a remarkable job. Aspirant Hoshin too is an honorable soul, and threats of violence aren't the way to motivate her. I am sure she has plenty of reasons to keep herself in check given the attention she has been receiving as of late from influential advisors. She knows better than to defy their will, even if she would challenge your own."

He said the comments to Zeno, but loud enough for everyone to hear.

"If it is a contest you both desire though, I would suggest you do as is proper. On the training grounds with practice sabers."

Jaina was nearby, holding a bowl of paste and enjoying her breakfast. She watches to see how the altercation works itself out.

"From what I saw Aspirant Serasai was working quite well to see her punishment through. But the hothead in the middle with a temper and penchant for violence to match mine seemed to feel she could walk away from it, considering me too weak to keep her here. And now she stands there scrubbing. As long as she continues doing so there won't be need for any violence," he replies. "And if she's trying to establish dominance among aspirants, I'll gladly show her the folly of doing so against me on the training yard... after her punishment."

"I have no need to waste my time duelling people who don't matter," she answered. "There's nothing to gain."

She smirked.

"Besides, as Torsin said, I have plenty of reasons to keep myself in check. There's a time and place to prove you have strength and bravery; and that's right at the start. When you have nothing. You, decided to do it in the middle. Right after you've been given your weapons."

She chuckled.

"You fucked up the timing."
