The Dark Academy on Korriban

The Togruta was sitting at her desk with her goggles over her eyes, fiddling with some complex hardware.

''Hun...maybe that could do...''

Manipulated via the force, the pieces reset themselves in a new arrangement.

Moyr was not really paying attention, focusing on wrapping her shapely thigh in the leggins-like tape that revealed as much as it concealed. The tape fell somewhere in the middle of a spectrum between underwear and regular clothing, but on many occasions the Lethan seemed to be considering it enough of a garment. Yawning, she rubbed an itch on her back with her lekku. She had gotten up later than Baesal, and still did not feel fully awake.

"I would kill for a cup of a vine-coffee from Belsavis." It sounded like a credible threat. "I used to smuggle some of it directly from the Tomb's prison guards. You cannot imagine how corrupt Republic wardens can be."

She shrugged.

"At least they have something in the mess that's not paste. Had any breakfast?"

Baesal put the device down and extended her arms towards the ceiling, stretching herself.

''Never had the pleasure of meeting a republican warden but I'll take your word for it.''

She turned towards her roommate

''I have not yet ingested the breakfast they serve here...I came to notice that if I starve myself a little the paste does'nt taste as bad.''

She gave Moyr a grin exposing her sharp teeth

"For the record, I can eat and digest almost anything. Ryloth is not the most bountiful of places... All my pickiness comes from acquired tastes. But once I have reached a certain level of conspicuous consumption, downgrading preferences feels terrible."

Over the hips and abdomen, then around the second leg the tape would go. She fell on the bed and pushed her pelvis upward to wrap it right. It was utterly impractical to 'dress' in this and yet Moyr insisted on it.

"Tinkering this early? What's this now?"

She glanced at her project

''Nothing quite yet as this is only a frame...but I hope to make a overdisk out of it'' she scratches her montrals ''I'll still need the anti-grav generator though...''

She shrugs turning back to Moyr with an amused look

''I wonder: Is that body tape one of your *acquired taste*? By the looks of it you are gonna be the cause of a many great eyeball straining''

Moyr hid the giggle behind her own montral. Her soft palms smoothed out the tape on her hips.

"Try to profile me based on that look. You don't know me, you want to make a judgement. What would it be?"

''Hum...'' The togruta squinted, thinking

''Well two things come to mind...''

She raised a finger

''First: a gal who is determined to fill the imperials with self-loathing by making their xenophobic views clash with the amount of drool they leave on the floor when she passes by''

She rises a second finger

''Second: a dangerous siren ready lure fools in with scandalous clothing''

The montral wrapped around her neck as she resumed taping her leg. A wry expression of her lips followed.

"You underestimate organised hypocrisy. Most of them are used to treating my race as a kernel of sexual toys they are entitled to possess. I do not foresee much self-loathing. More like frustration they cannot have their way with me. So this is as much a stickytape for flies as it is a n act of defiance. To play to stereotypes and deny them at the same time can foment a lot of confusion. Hopefully."

She shrugged.

The engineer smiled

''I guess so'' she simply said at first

''But that is mostly for the men, yes? I have hoped to include women in my appreciation. You are quite certain to arouse jealousy in a lot of us.''

She waved towards the Twilek's black robes suspended near her.

''That revealing/concealing trick you do is quite prodigeous to observe. I sometime wish I had a spare holo-recorder to immortalize many of the reactions.''

"Make one? You're good with your hands."

She finished the other leg and slid them both from the bed together, gracefully, then took another tape meant for her chest, now pressed forth. Somehow simultaneously with a curious, slightly fiendish smile and a raised brow tattooed onto her hairless skin.

"Is it some odd way to tell me you're attracted or jealous, Baesal?"

She feigned indignation and swung lekku to cover her front, just barely, but their slight undulation and shifting legs was sending an ambiguous message.

After muffled snort and laugh, Baesal took on a more serious face. Effort, however, was clearly lacking since the twilek vixen could see the corners of her interlocutor's mouth struggle to return to a more mirthful state.

''While you got me curious about how you might be able to use your head-tails, I would not dare hit on you. I mean that would be...how do you say again? Gauche, yes, tempting but gauche.''

She rose and moved to get her own clothes from where she put them the night before

''Still I will be honest when I say that having your figure would save me a lot of time when haggling.''

She paused for half a second before she bend over to start putting her legs in her mechanic's overalls

''Then again having two of you might make the men's...err...lower lekku go permenantly blue.''

"That's one way to draw away their blood from their hearts and brains."

Breast wraps soon were made to pose a pretence of being more than an underwear. But before that happened, Moyr had plaited their endings on her sternum in a way that didn't lock them too hard but allowed for a small rubbing within the knot.

"Gauche, d'accord."

She quite shameless studied Baesal's form on an earlier cue.

"Those on leaner side have their audiences. What do you have to haggle for? Parts? I suppose I could help you with that in more than one way."

Baesal finished dressing, an advantage of not having to wrap herself in sexy lingerie tape

''I have no doubts about that dear, you are also quite good with your hands.'' she let out teasingly

''Need help with that?''

"Getting the components for whatever you're making. I am good at relieving people and places of things."

Moyr pouted, wondering if the misunderstanding was a tease because of her accent.

The togruta nodded

''Yes, yes. I know you are, that was what I was refering to''

She motionned to Moyr's wraps

''I wondered if you needed help with your wear''

"Only if you put emotion into it. I don't enjoy emotional detachment if I allow myself be touched."

She kept the pout for entirely different reasons.

''Emotion you say? Quite the tease are you?'' She replied with amusement has she moved closer

''How tight?'' she said with a grin, sitting on the bed

"Enough to hold, not enough to flatten. Hard to do without investing some empathy, I suppose."

Pout turned into pursing.

''Well we certainly not want them flat, would we?'' she said in a coy manner while taking hold of the straps

''Horizontal or diagonnal?'' she inquired

"Diagonal, naturellement!"

She wanted to tell something about horizontal being boring but dissuaded herself from it at the visual reminder of Baesal's montrals.

Baesal took great care while wrapping Moyr's chest, taking her time for perfection like she would do preparing a Life Day gift

''This good?'' she wondered

"Passable. There's always room for improvement."

She considered wrapping the lekku with thinner ribbons but decided she wanted to show off the new tattooes instead.

"But I will not correct it. If it malfunctions, I will at least know who to blame."

She said with a grin.

The togruta return's Moyr's grin

''Feel free to tell everyone, many are likely to come thank me. Maybe they'll even try to bribe me to repeat the mistake.''

She lays back on the bed and frowned

''Korriban will come in sight soon''

"Their thanks would have to be really sweet to compensate for my revenge."

Moyr dropped on the bed too, staring at the ceiling.

"I am not too familiar with this part of Outer Rim. What do you know about Korriban?"

''Revenge will at least require a change of clothes. They say its best served cold and I doubt your attire can support a drastic temperature drop...they are bound to poke through''

She giggled before returning to the more serious subject

''I was not told many things about Korriban...I have seen a few pictures though. It seems like a desert world filled with dark canyons.''
