Khalim hefts his rifle and gets ready to engage the incoming tuk'ata.

Zeno was ready to go. The sight of the fearless sith removed any doubt that they stood a chance against this beast. He would give it his all.

(Also would like to Spend Destiny for Deus Ex Machina: Death's Shadow's explosive exit from the lair caused a collapse of the entrance trapping the other tuk'ata inside)

The explosive force of his exit sends debris flying closing some of the exits. The Alpha fights alone at least for a time, in time the rest of the tuk’ata will find a way out, hopefully not soon.

OOC: Death’s Shadow has Adversary 2, Ranged Defense 1, Melee Defense 2 and is at Long Range to the group. Spending three destiny for each of the player's checks this round. Zeno can have Sense active at the start.

Seeing the rapidly incoming giant tuk'ata, Khalim decides to get creative with his approach on making it a dead tuk'ata.

He drops his blaster rifle, knowing it to be of no more use to him, and pulls two items from his belt: his lightsaber and a grenade.

He clicks the grenade over to detonate on impact and closes his eyes to focus inward. Drawing upon the power of the Dark Side of the Force--all too willing to aid him in his shenanigans--, the grenade starts to levitate and floats away from him, directly between himself and the evil beast. A small obstacle of explosive death, should it come his way.

Setting the Depth Charge: 1eF 2 Dark Side

There is an explosion, the flash and concussive force resounds throughout the area but it does little to deter Death’s Shadow some fragments are embedded in his thick hide but in a surge of speed he covers the distance between the wreck and tries to rip into Khalim with his massive fang filled maw.

OOC: Death’s Shadow takes 2 wounds from the grenade. Death’s Shadow uses 2 advantage to give Khalim a setback die on his next check he also suffers 9 wounds after soak from the attack. Maneuver to move from Long to Engage because he is Death and suffers 2 strain to Engage.

OOC: Death’s Shadow has Adversary 2, Ranged Defense 1, Melee Defense 2 and is at Short Range to the group, engaged with Khalim.

OOC: Khalim spends 3 strain to parry for 3, reducing wounds to 6.

With a quick flash of his blade, Khalim manages to parry some of the incoming attack.

This beast had some real power, real explosive power. He remembered it. But last time he hadn't been prepared with his new saber, this time he was going to doe some damage to the fucker. He moved in on the monster, straining his body in the process as he pulled his lightsaber, then cut into it's flesh with the wicked blade of light.

Khalim quickly pulls out a stim pack from his belt and injects himself with it. A bit distracted from trying to keep himself alive, he swings at the tuk'ata...and completely misses.

But at least he feels better?

Death’s Shadow growls at the aspirant and snaps at him viciously, burnt fur and flesh filling the air with a terrible order. The head was as large as a man’s torso and filled with bloody teeth. The massive beast is everywhere snapping with teeth and using it's massive bulk to slam and bite into all the enemies engaged with it!

Death's Shadow rips flesh and blood from Khalim's side severely hampering his mobility. Adding insult to injury it swipes with a massive paw and causes minor damage to Khalim’s lightsaber.

OOC: Death’s Shadow has taken 9 wounds. Death’s Shadow uses 2 advantage to give Khalim a setback die. Shaisha will suffer a setback die to her next check due to her threat. Death's Shadow does 10 wounds to each character engaged with him, 7 wounds after soak to Khalim, Shaisha, and Zeno. Khalim suffers a Critical Injury, Hamstrung: Loses free maneuver until the end of the encounter! Despair used to cause Minor damage to Khalim’s lightsaber, one setback die until repaired.

Death’s shadow howls at Shaisha and then uses his massive bulk to slam her to the ground causing the Sith aspirant to fall prone and roll away through the crimson dirt.

Zeno really wanted to cut this beast down. His red shoto blade with it's vicious crackling green shimmer sliced into Death's Shadow in another vital spot.

Death’s Shadow howls at the strike and tries to snap at Zeno but he proves far too tricky to mangle instead the massive tuk’ata slams him with paw causing his lightsaber to go flying as it stays alert for future attacks against him.

It has a baleful crazed bloodlust look in it’s eyes.
