The Dark Academy on Korriban

Nunki had a new toy, and it was time to get in tune with it. She made her way to the training grounds, her saber attached to her hip. Finding an area where she had space to herself, she drew the saber, and began her own training.

This is mine now. I will make it mine.

It'd been quite a while since she held a real weapon in her hands, and it showed at first. But eventually, it became more natural, more fluid. She was one with the weapon. She could never feel this with the training sabers. But her saber was hers, and she could perform better than ever before.

So she performed.

Jaina Von watches quietly.

Remmington stops by the training grounds and offers a respectful bow to Jaina and a more familiar greeting to Nunki. "Good evening Sith Von."

Oddly enough he goes to pick up a training saber to practice with. "How are you doing acolyte Nunki? It's been a while since I last saw you."

"So it has" she says, continuing her training as if she had not been interrupted. "Have you been well, Remmington?"

Remmington nods. "I have been all things considered. Well I am still alive that is something."

Noticing the hilt at her side. "So you managed to create your own saber?"

Nunki continued practicing with her saber in her hands, while some higher power wonders what Remmington saw on her side.

She nods, momentarily stopping to show it to Remmington. "Took most of my day, but I got it done."

"Oh that is pretty good." Remmington walks up closer to get a better look at Nunki's saber. "I made mine not too long ago as well."

"Yes, I believe I remember that." She says. After Remmington has finished examining the saber, Nunki goes straight back to practicing her form.

Remmington goes into his practice as well with the training saber. "So what have you been up to since we last talked? It's been a while and you haven't even called either." He says the last bit teasingly.

"I don't think I've called any of the other aspirants since I got here. So don't worry, you're not being ignored." She returns the teasing tone somewhat halfheartedly.

"With the saber I guess you must have enough points now to pass at least. I wonder what the instructors have lined up for us next." Remmington goes through his forms. He is working on a more elegant single sword one handed style.

She nods. "Whatever it is, we will be OK. I'm not worried about it at least."

Remmington nods. "You should pretty confident Nunki. I shall look forward to you becoming a success. Please do try to keep in touch though." He says with a smile.

"I'll do my best." She says, quickly and flatly. "Though I imagine it'll be a bit difficult to lose contact while we're still at the Academy."

"Well aside from one of us dying I suppose. I would prefer for that not to happen." Remmington smirks.
