Just returning from Zash's disturbing expedition, Baesal sat lazily in her chair

''What a day''

Outside, in the hall, Baesal might hear some rattling and clanking as Layne had gathered up a bunch of parts and junk. She honestly wasn't quite sure which parts were the junk. She was on her way elsewhere, from her room... but one part decided it wanted to fall to the ground right in front of Baesal's door.

"Fuck."

Curious, Baesal got up and opened the door of her room to find the source of the ruckus

''Oh, good evening Layne''

Great.

"Hey," she said; arms full of junk; midway through the arduous task of picking up the fallen part without letting any more fall.

''Busy I see...here let me give you a hand''

With that she helped Layne with her load.

''What are you gonna do with this?''

"I was gonna go to the workshop, see if its open. Maybe build one of those shoto hilts."

Baesal raise an eyebrow

''Good for...'' she looked at the junk with some concern ''Are you sure about that?''

The parts she had were decent enough. It was just that there was also stuff mixed in that she totally didn't need.

"Yeah? Why? You think I should go for a regular hilt instead?"

''No, no, the soho is a good match...but you have a lot of junk you don't need.''

She scratched her head

''Please come in, we will sort this throught''

"Uh..."

Shit, she wasn't going to say no to that!

"...okay, I guess."

In she went.

''Put that on the desk, if you please''

She sat at her chair

''I understand you want a soho but have you considered a lightsaber pike? They are remarkable weapons to someone with good physical strength''

"A pike?"

Ugh... lame.

"That would be stupid. I can't use my saber with a pike."

''Oh, I thought you could mount your crystal on it...but never mind''

She looked through the pieces discarding a number ot it.

''That should do, a soho ia light and compact there is no need to overburden it...''

She sat back with a question on her tongue

''Do you want it to do it yourself or would you prefer that I do it?''

"Uh..."

She thought about it. She kind of wanted to do it herself but...

"...well, if I do it I'm pretty sure it'll..."

err...

''Don't worry about it'' she said with a light smile

''If you want to do it yourself it is allright, I understand. I could always assist''

"I think it'd have more chance of success if you did it," she finally said.

Baesal nods

''Okay...can I ask you to lend a hand then? If you wish to craft your own saber in the future that would a good opportunity to learn''

"Sure, of course."

And so the work began right in the room. Beasal had no need for tools or a workplace, her hand weaving strands of lightning that molded, meld and made the pieces dance to form a new soho lightsaber. All the while she was careful to explain what she was doing to that her assistant would understand the gist of it. After four hours is was finished and some pieces were left unused. She looked on, fascinated by the lightning strands. She wanted to know how to to do that.

Eventually, when the hilt was complete she took possession of it and answered the question: "Naming weapons is dumb. They're just things."

Baesal grins

''True, they are but tools to us...it is thought, however, that naming a weapon forges a link with it.''

"By who? Sentimental idiots? Guys who gave their dicks a name and think of their lightsaber as their second dick?"

Baesal chuckled with glee

''That is one way to put it but I have yet to find someone name their weapon 'Penis'...''

Oh hell

''...but usually the name reflect a goal or someting to remember so it is not forgotten.''

"What's yours called?"

''The little sister'' she said
