The Dark Academy on Korriban

Sylvain walked the halls in front of the Cantinato a spot he had designated to meet with the woman who had contacted him earlier. He arrived at the destination and begin looking around for the blonde woman with a heart of an ancient Sith queen.

Veers is waiting in understated dark clothing loose fitting with a lightsaber dangling from her hip. It’s like she has a natural talent with the Force many cannot believe but obviously, Sylvain knows better. She smiles and says, “You have moved up in the world since the last time we talked.”

Sylvain smiled and nodded, "As have you. You seem to of gotten up to speed quickly enough. What can I do for you?"

“I want the holocron, I want to study these Jedi and I know you still have it,” she says flatly.

"You? Learn about the Jedi?" He replied.

“They are important to the balance of power in the galaxy, I didn’t become a Queen by acting out of ignorance. Information is important and I would rather have Thy’s perspective on the Jedi than the Sith’s propaganda,” she says honestly.

Sylvain nodded, "A wise idea."

Then asked, "But, sorry to sound so gauche, what is in it for me?"

“You know my power, what can I do for you?” she says with a coy smile.

"I know your power, yes. But there are many of power who would like this knowledge. You need to be a bit more specific."

“I know a secret that could help you, then,” she says with a grin.

“You need an edge, and I know how to give you that edge with Darth Baras and remove an obstacle to your power.”

“All it will cost you is a Jedi holocron.”

"You'll excuse me if I have some trouble trusting you. Your promise still lacks the specificity I require to give it my proper attention."

“Baras has a spy and I know who it is,” she says and starts to walk away.

Sylvain paused briefly. It was an interesting tidbit... but the knowing it would be a step towards antagonistic relations with Baras.

"Wait." He said, "I don't think she'll like you. She's locked on to my signature. I can provide sessions between you and her perhaps. Otherwise her information is useless to you."

“Lie to her, how can I get her to trust me?” she says turning.

“You don’t get my information until the holocron is useful to me.”

"There is perhaps a way... you need to be convincing in wanting to turn to the Light. I can help you and get her to talk, but I can't surrender it to you."

“I can do that, I can be very convincing, should we find somewhere private?” she adds.

He nods and leads them to the closest private area.

She follows and they find an empty office. She closes the door and says, “I am ready.”

Sylvain pulls the holocron out of his robes and focuses on it, quickly accessing what is inside.

Seeing Thy appear he smiles, "Hey Thy. Got a different kind of friend for you to meet. I think you'll like what she has to say."

Thy forms and says, "Really... and another woman, why am I not surprised..."

He chuckled, "This one has no interest in me, Thy. She actually has an interest in you."

He paused, "Well, an interest in your philosophy."

He then looked down, "To tell you the truth, I've been starting to see the way you think of things in a new light... there's something to what you are saying. I met Anya here, and she is someone who has similar thoughts to me in that light..."

He turns to Anya, "Maybe you can explain it a bit better."

Anya nods, “Yeah… I… just think… this is hard my whole life I have been taught the Dark Side is the path to power but after seeing the cold natures and the callous ways the Sith dispose of those that have no value… I don’t know if I can live like that.”

“I hear the Jedi seek peace and understanding. I know I am not worthy, perhaps I am too far gone but if I could find one that could guide me, show me the Light maybe I could make a difference. Just maybe I could find a path that won’t lead to undue suffering. But I am scared… what if I am too far gone?”

Veers bites her lip and adds, “I am scared I am already corrupted.”

Thy listens and says, "I have to help her, Sylvain. She needs me."

For the first time, he wished Anya was in his min so he could see what he was getting at.

"That's why I brought her, Thy."

"I wanted to give you a choice you'd like." He paused for a second, "As much as I have come to respect you, I am in desperate need of the data we collected from the station. Many times I've considered handing you over to our hackers to extract it by force."

He smiled, "But I suppose I've become accustomed to your charm, and couldn't tear myself to do it. But now... I can give you to her."

Then paused again, "If you give me the data."

Then took on a serious look, "Or I can turn you over to our hackers, extract the information, and cost this girl her soul."

He looked at the Jedi plainly, "I figured you'd like this arrangement better."

Thy frowns and says, “Fine, it is old data.” Thy transfers the information for Sylvain.

Anya continues to play her role.
