The Dark Academy on Korriban

((OOC: spending a destiny point to have good things happen?))

On her way back from the spaceport Layne decided to take a detour, directing her speeder to the Valley of the Dark Lords instead. There was something she still needed from this planet. Another lightsaber crystal. And there was also a... curiosity. That first time she'd gone and listened to Korriban, good things had happened. Perhaps if she were to try again, something similar would happen?

Having parked the speeder, she sought out a good spot and kneeled down; closing her eyes and trying to attune herself to the force, like she'd done before. This time there, it was the light side of the force that she tapped into... and Layne forced herself to listen to it.

OOC: You have to flip destiny so may as well spend the Destiny on the Force or it don't work.

((alright, using the destiny for flipping it then))

“Never idle, the Flesh of my Flesh, never idle. So do you think can trust this Darth Baras?” he asks as she draws on the force.

She feels something dark… and pain reverberating through the Force.

"No," she said, trying to focus on the feeling that she was experiencing.

“You are learning,” Lord Oshin says. He then points off towards a ridge some three hundred or so meters away.

“I feel it too.”

"Well, at least I'm not a political liability like his other apprentice."

She started heading towards the ridge, making sure to draw her blade as she neared. Just in case.

The ridge looks down on a small oasis and this seems to be where the anger and pain is emanating from. It feels like a fresh wound… the anger is raw and unfocused.

"What do you think it is?"

She'd slowly approach the oasis, keeping a careful eye out, her lightsaber at the ready.

She will need to drop down into the oasis. Lord Oshin says, “I cannot say, it is no ghost yet it is not… alive.”

OOC: Coordination or Athletics at Average to get down, Sense roll if she has it to feel what Oshin feels.

"Helpful as always," she said, though her tone wasn't as annoyed as it would've been in the past. She was used to it by now.

"Well, I'm going to check it out anyway."

She made her way down with ease.

Athletics/Brawn, average: 1eA+2eP+2eD 4 successes, 2 threat

She lands with some trouble rolling her ankle painfully causing her to stumble. Lord Oshin waits up top and watches her and then her preternatural senses sense danger.

OOC: She suffers two strain, Perception or Vigilance roll at Hard difficulty using a destiny to upgrade a die.

Fortunately, Layne noticed nothing other than a vague sense of danger. Which actually wasn't fortunate at all.

Layne is bale to grab at a hand and guide the lightsaber more into her shoulder and not her heart as searing pain burns through her body it is a cold sensation that ripples through her body.

Gerald?

OOC: Layne suffers 6 strain and she is pinned to the stone between Gerald and the wall via crimson lightsaber…

Gerald has a hand around throat it feels cold and seeps to sap warmth, “I know you…” He is all shadows and shifting but the features that surface are the same.

“I should kill you.”

OOC: She is currently pinned she can try and get free with a Coordination, Brawl, or Athletics roll Hard difficulty, spending a Destiny to upgrade.

She tried to free herself; to no avail.

"Fuck," she hissed. "Aren't you supposed to be dead yourself?!"

He twists the lightsaber and more agony courses through her frame. He speaks in a menacing whisper, “I… am… not… dead.”

“This… is… AGONY!”

OOC: 1 more strain, think this is 9 total this scene.

"Look," she hissed through gritting teeth, "that's just what I heard. Let me go and tell me what the fuck happened."

"You are going to betray me... you all laughed at me," he hisses into her ear.

OOC: Charm or Coercion at Average with a setback die.

"I have more important people to betray, Gerry. Now... let me the fuck go," she hissed.

He releases his grip and pulls the lightsaber out, it is spectral and hazy just like him. He steps back and says, “Where is the witch?”

"You'll have to be more specific than that," she said as she dusted herself off, checking herself for wounds.

Wait, where is the blood... oh this is like that other time.

She looked back up at the Gerry the spectre. "What witch are we talking about?"

“The one that did… this to me?” he hisses angrily.

Okay think. What was the story again...

It took her a bit of to remember that he'd died on an expedition.
