“Do be gentle, those texts they have much more value than you,” Lord Savas quips from between the shelves.

He appears leaning heavily on his cane and says, “Those texts are not common aspirant fare, no pictures.”

Sinea bowed to the lord Savas. "My lord. If I am in need of images, I usually turn to the future, rather than the past. The latter is much more useful for lore, I usually find." There was a small smile on her face. Yes! If this works.... well, it's going to be good, hopefully.

“The future is dangerous to see, few Sith understand the importance of prescience. You see only a possible future not an absolute,” he says with a cough.

"That is my hope, Lord Savas. I have seen something that does not fill me with positive feelings, and I hope that what I am doing now will help alleviate a specific circumstance. And if that circumstance doesn't come by..." She fell silent for a moment. "It still inspired me to study topics that I haven't thought of before."

“You had a vision, well out with it,” he says.

Sinea explained her vision of the Massassi Horde bearing down upon the students and teachers at Yavin. "The outcome seemed far from certain, and we weren't favored. The pyramid was built for an ancient dark side user, and I hope to use the residual energies to bolster or own side in the coming conflict."

“Rituals are not common aspirant study,” he says flatly.

“Sound thinking though I am sure you will make a mess of things. Show it to me.”

"No, that much I found. Hopefully this won't leave my body a dessicated husk when I am done." Her tone hinted at a small amount of humor, as she showed the results to Savas. "I have studied up on how Vergeancces are formed, and how they can be used to amplify one's connection to the Force. Based on what I found, the battle will have a similar resonance, that can be used as a method to channel the Force."

“Do you enjoy suicide?” he asks looking over her results.

"I haven't given it a try yet, but I would think no. My usual pastimes lie in other directions." A small spike of fear ran through her, but her mouth was quicker than her brain. "May I ask my lord, where does the problem lie?"

“This would work, but it would require a great deal more energy due to these flaws in the design. I swear, aspirants should read Sith and the Force volumes 1 and 2, but they rarely listen. These are simple corrections. So in your case I will consider them advanced, read both texts and apply that knowledge to correct your failings,” he says calmly.

"Thank you Lord Savas, I will do that with haste." Whew. Good thing Savas was such a nerd that he helped occasionally. "I apologize for my lack there of." She made a note to herself, quickly. Sith and Force, vol 1. and 2. If she's lucky, it's not one of those volumes that everyone checked, no one's reading it, and no one's returned it.

"I do find the topic of Vergeances quite interesting, is that something that Lord Savas has studied perhaps? I would like to continue my research on that topic."

“No aspirant, I just read the books for the pictures and then lobotomize myself so I can read them again for fun,” he says turning his masked face back to hers.

"I must say, your skill is impeccable, I do not see any scarring from the lobotomization Lord."

He stares at her a long moment and says, “Foci of the Force, that should give you a primer on vergences.”

"Thank you my lord, your teaching is greatly appreciated." Realizing she just started a battle of verbal wits with a Sith lord, she felt her heart pounding.... but she was successful. Thankfully. And not dead!

"I believe you have reading to do," he says sternly.
