The Dark Academy on Korriban

“I won’t cut her down if she admits her father was a traitor, right now,” she says with a wicked smile.

"I believe the Wrath has already passed judgement on that matter. Do you wish for her to tell you that the sun rose yesterday?" Sylvain asked.

"The matter has been settled, what more is there to say?"

"I want to hear her say it," she says.

"Will that make it any more or less so?" He asked.

"I'm not sure it is wise to make enemies over such a meaningless gesture... I'm fairly sure you already have many people who seem perfectly content with keeping you in this hell-hole as long as possible. Why add to that list?" He asked.

"Even your subordinates... with political connections could be a thorn in your side if you don't act as an overseer should. It's quite possible your superiors could be convinced that more time in your current position would help remove some of these habits you've developed."

The bard starts playing a gentle slow song.

Rona laughs and says, “Don’t think you have Baras’ ear yet, little boy. You’re just an aspirant as far as I am concerned. Who says you make it back from Yavin?”

While Sylvain was quick on the responses Kristal didn't seem eager to interject and make more of a scene where there didn't need to be one. Of course, if there needed to be one she was quite ready. No one would make her say such a heinous lie. Perhaps her father might have wanted her to, but she was going to be Sith. If it could start anytime, it could start now.

If Rona wanted to try, Kristal was ready, that much was evident in her glare.

"Me." He said with a charming smile.

Hearing the gentle music he closed his eyes briefly.

"This tune puts me in a good mood. Perhaps if I make it back and start to gain Baras' ear all the more... I will be able to help those who act with decency towards their future colleagues."

He turns to Kristal, "You you care for a dance Lady Serasai?"

Even after Sylvain's question Kristal glared for a few more moments. Keeping that strong position. Shoulders wide. Then, suddenly, she settled. With a smirk she looked away from Rona and to Sylvain. Without Rona's intervention she was more than glad to simply leave the mad and petty Sith to herself.

"It would be my pleasure," she said as she offered her hand.

"If you'll excuse us then Overseer." Sylvain bowed politely to Rona before extending his hand to Kristal.

Rona does not interject but she boils with rage.

With her hand offered, ready for Sylvain to take it she let her guard fall from her lightsaber. Allowing herself to move with an ease when she needed to toward the dance floor. Flashing a little smile as she slipped up to her feet. Partially to keep the Sith's blood at a nice even boil, and partially because it was just fun.

Soon she'd put to use the little bit of dance she knew. Seems those parties growing up were good for a few things.

As the two finish the first dance the band turns to a more upbeat song...

Zash enters and gets a glass of wine and listens to the music.

Moving away from the open area where they danced and chatting as they walked back to their table, Sylvain saw Zash arrive and nodded a greeting to her.

Sylvain had, unsurprisingly, impressed with his ability to make it seem like Kristal was at least a bit more confident in her dance than she truly was. Walking back with Sylvain Kristal would comfortably re-assume her seat. Zash, for Kristal's part, went entirely unnoticed. Even with the rather fitting track playing.

He smiled as he sat with Kristal at their table, "Looks like those social events over the years are paying off Kris. You didn't even step on my toes."

"You didn't give me a reason to," she teased just as they got there. All too ready for Rona to chirp back up again the moment they did. For that, she was ready.

Sitting again Kristal made herself comfortable and let her right hand fall to her lap. Never too safe.

Rona was gone, having left at some point.

"Then I will plan on continuing not to. I've had enough of your tough love with that punch back in the cave for one lifetime." He smiled and poured some more wine for Kris.

"I'll be honest.. I didn't really know what else to do then. Just seemed the best option to stop it from doing anything rash," she said, taking her cup with a practiced delicate hand as he finished pouring it.

He smiled and winked, "And I'm eternally grateful."

Then, obviously reminded of something he asked, "Any news on the dress?"

He glanced over to Zash again to see what she was doing. She had been a focus of discussion apparently that day, and he doubted she randomly came to bars on a whim.

She was chatting with Overseer Tremel. He placed a hand on the small of her back and they seemed to be cozy.

Sylvain smiled, "Looks like two of the overseers are quite cozy with one another."

"No word yet," she offered on the topic of the dress.

"They appear so?" Kristal offered as comment. Taking her drink in hand and sipping at it as she looked over. "That is Lord Zash, not a mere overseer."
