The Dark Academy on Korriban

Niriti awaited between the tall columns of the museum, her eyes gazing at the main entrance exhibit of the Museum, a powerful memories of the wonders and glories that awaited the acolytes who made it out of the Academy alive. It was a great mural of strength, representing the power of the sith lords, a demonstration of the power that the sith lords held in their hands. She was amazed and seduced by the mural, as much as all the things that were exhibited in the museum.

Sylvain too found himself in the museum in the early morning. There was supposedly an exhibit on a stretch of an ancient master's life in Yavin that he felt could be informative given their upcoming trip.

Seeing Niriti from behind he smiled and walked up to her as she looked at the main exhibit.

"Impressive sight." He said as he walked beside her. "Not a bad exhibit either."

Niriti smiles as she turned to Syl. She walked up to him and placed her arm around his, leaning on his shoulder as she did so.

"It's amazing, it's as if the past were talking to us, pushing us to work harder, to aim higher, and to reach out to what we desire." She kissed him on the cheek as she mentioned desire. "I always come to look at this mural whenever I can, it brings me unity with the Force, specially in the hard times. And now it has an extra special meaning."

He smiled when she kissed him and hooked his arm so it was easy for her to hold on to him.

"Special meaning?" He asked with a smile.

"Well, today I'm sharing this site with you, and you are adding to the experience." She replied with a playful smile. "Would you like to see the rest of the exhibit with me? Maybe you can show me around, tell me about these wonders that I know little about, since I grew away from the Imperial society and history."

"If you wouldn't mind the occasional error or forgetful blunder I'd be more than happy to accompany you."

He smiled and took her arm along as he started to walk.

"What would you like to see today?"

"Well, all I need to see is already before me, but I guess I should also learn a bit about Sith Lore." She winked at him as she walked to the next art piece of the Museum. "You could also tell me a bit about what you have been doing these past days."

He smiled and took her around one of the side rooms looking at things as he spoke.

"Recently? Not much to report I'm afraid. I live in a world of secrets and subterfuge now... Darth Baras has taken me as his apprentice and I am doing my best to learn the ropes."

"Darth Baras? That's quite interesting." She smiled with pride at the achievements of the man, specially since she counted him as an ally, a lover, maybe even a friend if that ever existed among acolytes. "I've been able to get a hold on a local business in Korriban, so I have been able to get some extra income when business goes well."

"Is that so?" He asked with a smile, "What kind of business?"

"I shouldn't say, since it isn't a very legitime business." She wasn't sure how he would take her being the new head of a smuggling cartel. "But I've kept drugs out of the streets. There are things that the citizens require, even if they are not totally legal, and others that are of no need to the citizens."

Plus not getting the drugs would let her rise the prices later on if she decided to start the business once again.

He chuckled, "Your days at Czerka seemed to have paid off... in more ways than one."

He then smiled, "Don't get carried away too far. There's plenty to keep you busy and involved around here. You've been missing out on meeting me for instance... instead of working on your new business."

"Well, I've learned about in my days in Czerka, and ever since I got here, I've learned more about this type of business. I was even able to get some nice deals in the Spaceport Station from time to time."

She wasn't dealing with Czerka anymore, now she was dealing with the Hutt. She had never dealt with them, but it was a great opportunity for her. The Hutt were merchants that understood that it was all about needs, supplying and having what others required. In some way, the same as feelings. She needed company, desire, relief, and Syl was one to respond properly to her needs, desires and who could bring her relief and even calm.

"There are not many days remaining in the planet till we leave, so I am only gaining the allies that I may need in the future. If I make an example in these two days, then my business partners will most likely be an influential associate."

He smiled, "How influential need they be?"

"Not much, just making sure that a bright future awaits me. I'm a merchant, a provider, if I go back to Czerka I'll be back in my old job, and I need to progress, become more. I may be able to bring glory to the Sith Empire with the new allies, bring them new opportunities and trade agreements."

They reached a great statue of an amazon warrior plunging her long spear lightsaber into a great monstrous creature with an intimidating strength that made Niriti gasp.

"I see you have still aim for the Ministry of your father, and have become acolyte of the Lord that oversees it. I hope you are careful."

He smiled, "Thank you for your concern."

He then asked, "How do you interpret that move by me? The INN has talked about it frequently over the past few weeks..."

"Well, it seems as you follow into your father's footsteps in the tactician field, a dangerous field that will set you into the main battle fields, directly fighting against the Republic. I fear for what may become of you in such a place." She held him stronger, although her strength was not one that could cause pain to the warrior. "Someday you will have a very preoccupied wife, Syl."

He smiled at her embrace, "So you feel sorry for whatever woman would be stuck with taking care of me?"

"I wouldn't feel sorry, I think that you should find a woman that could understand you, and that could support your work. Not only should she be able to accept your dedication to battle, but also be able to maneuver in the courts and balls of the Empire. The proper wife of a high class tactician of the Empire should bring honor to your name."

He nodded and smiled, "That's a lot to ask of one individual. You know of a place that creates women like that?"

"If you are to pursue a career as an imperial officer, even your wife must be a perfect match, Syl." They kept walking through the Museum reaching an area full of ancient sith weapons of diverse types, even archaic ones of a time when crystals were not used yet. "There might not be love, but there could be respect. And you can always look for me if you need passion and emotion."

He smiled, "So you're taking yourself out of the running for potential wife... but would like to stay potential lover? I know you not to be one to settle lightly, so this must be what you want."

"I am not one to settle into the wife position. I am to be out in the market, in business. If I were to stay at home, I would be miserable and would make you miserable as well." The dim red lights of the Museum that highlighted the exposition illuminated her face softly. It looked as she had blushed, or it could be the light. "I have a weak spot for male beauty." She teased referring to still wanting to stay as a lover.

"A very fortunate weakness... at least for me." He said with a charming smile.

"Well, well... I've been having a very profitable time myself, which is why I have allowed this habit to continue, and progress." She answered with a wink and a nudge to his side.
