The Dark Academy on Korriban

"Resourceful? You ousted this spirit from yourself only for her to attach to another and you would simply call that resourceful?" Kristal placed down the glass, a careful measure. Placing her hand on the table flat.

"This is a spirit that was trapped on Korriban. What she wants is probably your head, and you would walk into that room alone without any support? What could she even offer you?"

"That's what I'm going to see Kris. It's in a public place. She's out of her element, she's picking it up fast... I'm sure she's looking for me to do something for her. This isn't some planned attack." He said.

"If it makes you feel better you can shadow me."

"It would.." she said, tapping the table with her first two fingers.

Looking off to the band playing she cooled her head for a moment. Grabbing her glass she brought it to her lips and took a sip. There was, clearly, nothing she liked about this situation.

He smiled brightly, "Then that's what we'll do."

The mood of the evening had obviously been damaged by this discussion but he smiled weakly and asked.

"So are you enjoying your fancy dinner date with your Imperial prince?" He noticed the food still hadn't come.

"Where in the devil is the food?"

What was a date night without threats between enemies, some dancing, a few laughs and a little fight?

"It is on par with the others," she quipped with a slight smirk after a few moments.

He chuckled, "The same as the dirt pit? Well damn... that means it was a resounding failure."

"Would you truly call it a failure?" she asked, turning back to the table as she set the empty glass down.

He smiled, "Not if it endeared me in any way to the beloved Lady Serasai. Perhaps she'll have pity on my poor attempts at romancing and be willing to be asked out on another date."

"Perhaps she will. It appears you will have to take the risk and ask her once you've prepared one."

He smiled, "As long as we can kick back and hang out together until I find something good."

He looked over affectionately at her, "I've grown quite accustomed to our new dynamic. I for one think it's going great."

"I also find it pleasing," she spoke with that cool Imperial tone. Alcohol made her demeanor easier before, but the anger prior had sobered her up quite a bit. Kristal was careful of showing affection where enemies could see it. Not that it was really helping all that much.

There were other places where she showed just how pleased with the new dynamic she was.

Even the most confident of men need an occasional affirmation of their efforts. Sylvain smiled inwardly... and outwardly when he saw his cool Imperial beauty break her wall for just a moment in public.

Just then their meals arrived finally. Thanking the waiter Sylvain gave Kristal the choice between a meaty stew or a more crisp salad-esque dish with strips of chicken-like meat.

For her, it was the furthest from the paste that she wanted. Thus the salad-esque dish would make it's way in front of her after not even a moments thought.

"Which did you think I would like?" she had asked after indicating the choice.

He chuckled, "The meat stew here is my personal favorite."

Then winked, "Does that answer the question?"

"Not exactly," she said with a smirk, "Perhaps it was your idea to order your favorite meal here for me, knowing that it was at least prepared well."

"Aren't I allowed a contingency or two?" He said with a smile.

Then winking, "I've only ever been an attentive friend. I promise that won't change going forward."

"I thought the whole purpose of this was to change that?" she said in a bit of a tease. Knowing full well what he meant by the gesture but teasing Sylvain came a bit naturally to her.

"We'll be adding plenty of new good things. But there's no need to take away from what works."

He smiled and took a spoonful of soup into his mouth.

"Depends upon perspective. Some might call that something entirely new," she smirked," even if... or especially if it is better than what it was."

Which it was.

Kristal was methodical when it came to eating her meal. Small bites, constant, but sure. Measured out a long time ago to make sure it all went by smoothly.

He smiled and nodded in agreement. There was something he felt he wanted to say... it had only been a few weeks since their first breakthrough, but really it had been years that he knew Kris. There was a comfortability there, but he knew Kris would be incensed if he said such a thing in a public place.

Instead he just looked affectionately into her eyes.

Noticing the gaze he held on her she raised a brow. Stopping mid bite of food to show that she had. Wondering if there was more to it than just a simple gaze.

He smiled and said, "The moon is pretty tonight."

"You aren't drunk off those few sips are you?" she said, part tease and part serious, one hundred percent amused.

"Punch drunk on something... most likely not the wine." He says with a wink.

"Are you trying to be sly?" Kristal asked with a smirk, showing her amusement.
