That trick with moving the door sure was impressive. Maybe not as impressive as Oshin's power, but it was obvious she had a lot of catching up to do.

Then came the droids, and Layne flicked on her lightsaber; saying something... that she miraculously understood.

The battle is joined as the ancient droids take their targets. Veers ignites her saber and then moves forward taking cover behind a basalt pillar before another volley of blaster fire.

She reaches out with the Force and snatches a pillar and throws it at a group of droids smashing them to pieces sending dust flying into the air!

OOC: The droids are at Medium range from the group. Veers is at Short range now and does 21 damage and grants Moyr a boost die. Droids #1 are gone. Kill Droid has Adversary 1 and Melee Defense 1, the other Droids have Cover, Ranged Defense 1. Spending 3 Destiny to Upgrade the checks for each PC. Veers spends 3 Dark side, 1 to activate Move another to upgrade the size and a third to upgrade the range.

Init: Veers, PC, PC, Kill Droid, PC, Droids #2 (4), Droids #3 (4)

Layne rushed in after; going for the big kill droid, hoping to time her attack so that she didn't get hit in the face by shrapnel from the frag. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out the way she'd hoped, and the droid made an unpredictable move... avoiding her attack.

Moyr moves forward and ducks behind a pillar and tosses a frag grenade at the droid which explodes, the larger droid is unharmed the some clearing and it advances undeterred but one of the droids near it is turned into scrap heap.

Layne rushes into melee with the kill droid and finds the defenses more than a match for her. The droid ducks under a strike and begins a determined assault that breaches her defenses with both sith blades! After the vicious strikes the droid kicks her square in the chest and knocks her down.

OOC: Moyr has to move forward into short range to toss the grenade and hits for 8 damage, the Kill Droid soaks the damage taking only 2 wounds, and Blast does 8 damage to Droids #2 destroying one, it suffers 4 wounds. Moyr and Veers have Cover, Ranged Defense 1.

Kill droid scores a Critical Injury and hits with both weapons for 8 damage each, 4 wounds each after soak remember you can only Parry once per hit. Layne is now Prone and suffers 1 strain.

Layne is engaged with the Kill Droid, the Kill Droid and other Droids are at short range to Veers to Moyr and Medium range to everyone else.

Layne's recent training was succesful in mitigating some of the damage as she turned out of the way. There was the option to mitigate even more, her reflexes would've allowed it... but she chose to take the damage instead; a split second decision to take the pain in exchange for stamina. As she went flying down to the ground, she was already planning her next move.

(suffer 3 strain to mitigate damage by 3. Leaving me at 9 strain, 5 wounds, and 1 critical injury)
(this is not my turn; just posting my damage reduction... I believe its Baesal's turn?)

The droids stay behind pillars and shoot their blasters at Veers and Moyr, the hail of fire strikes Moyr viciously while Veers uses her lightsaber to deflect some of the blaster fire but still takes damage in the hail of fire.

Round 2

Veers charges into the fray and she cuts one of the droids in half with an expert strike and then a basic wide strike to finish off the other two. She kicks the final one as it falls into two neat pieces.

OOC: Droid #2 fires on Moyr dealing 12 damage, 9 wounds after soak! Veers takes 12 damage as well reduced to 4 wounds after Reflect and soak! Droids #3 grant their next ally a boost die. Veers has taken 3 strain from Reflect.

Veers does 8 damage and a critical injury on Droids #2, crit kills one immediately and she does enough damage to kill the last two.

Pushing past the pain, Layne forced herself back up and effortlessly carried the motion on through into an attack. One that this time, she din in fact strike the target with. It produced a very satisfying scream from her lightsaber as it made contact with the droid's exterior. But, more than that, the attack didn't hit just a random part of the chassis, but rather one of the actuators that controlled the droid's movements. It was taken out of the fight, forcing the ancient machine to rely on some of its back-up systems and limiting its actions somewhat.

The droid is torn open but still functional, the actuator prevents it from trying to parry so instead it presses the attack striking with pinpoint accuracy against Lain one sword dipping under defense and the second stabbing into her shoulder, the assault keeps her off balance.

OOC: The Kill-Droid has taken 12 total wounds and still functional, it hits Layne and uses Advantage to give Layne a setback on her next check and generate a second attack this does a total 10 damage each, 6 wounds after soak for each strike.

Baesal cuts the kill droid down after she gives Layne a stimpack but the focus buys time for the other droids to put a hail of fire down and shoot her in the side with a vicious injury!

Round 3

Veers advances on the last group of droids with a roll and cuts one down neatly and then spins and cuts another down the middle from top to bottom. She laughs at the violence!

OOC: Baseal takes 9 damage after soak and critical Injury, Hamstrung. Threat used to give Droids #3 a boost die to the next check! Veers does 10 wounds and destroys 2 droids. Using Destiny for the next 2 PCs to upgrade the dice.

She'd lost consiousness for a brief second; and now she was on the floor. Again. And there was nothing left to kill.

That angered her.

Unfortunately, there was a fair bit of pain still left; so she took out one of her own stimpacks and injected herself in the leg with it.

That was better. A bit. She still felt lightheaded; but pushed herself back up.

((was at 5 wounds. got 12 wounds on top of that. Reduced down by 3 from Parry for 2 strain to 14. Reduced back down to 9 by Baesal's stimpak. Reduced down to 5 by own stimpak. Not sure if that critical injury needs any special healing? Am at 12 strain))
