The Dark Academy on Korriban

Niriti had no trouble getting herself a speeder for two persons, but she still had to wait for her assigned driver. She had not gone scavenging yet in the lords valley, so she felt her heartbeat strong in her chest, although confident with her company as well as with the shoto blade that fell on her hip.

Remmington is currently driving the speeder while sporting some fashionable scanner googles. "So where do you want to try looking? I can at least tell you places that have already been looked over by troops here so we can avoid wasting our time on those spots."

He asks his companion.

/ I hope that gives us a boost die or something. /

"Well this is the first time that I come to the valley to search for useful things. So I have not much idea of where to go." She held on to the body of the man on the ride, her hair tightly held with a braid as they traveled. "I'll let you decide where to go. Hopefully we find something of use for us both. And if not, then we can still have a time together."

Remmington smiles as he is held onto. "Well we can try looking at a few places. Make the most of this while we can. I hear that we are taking off from Korriban after tomorrow."

Niriti can feel something in the force, a trembling. Then there is blaster fire in their direction.

OOC: Vigilance or Piloting Planetary at Average difficulty with a setback due to being fired upon, I will spend a Destiny to upgrade.

Only two days remaining to leave the Academy...

A strange feeling hits Niriti, Something is off! She senses the blaster before it is on them.

"Watch out!" She cries as her senses awaken.

Her cry causes Remmington to veer right into a pillar and the speeder is a fiery wreck as both go flying into the dust and dirt.

OOC: Despair activated, but they don’t get shot…

Remmington gets up quickly and readies his lightsaber just in case. "Are you okay Niriti?" He checks on his companion first.

"I'm ok" She replies as she reaches for her own lightsaber and then looks at the broken down wreck. Shit! I don't want to walk back.

The woman reached out her other hand and focused on the whereabouts of the sentient creatures at distance, trying to identify the place of the shooter.

She can feel them and then she sees them, six Imperial soldiers come over the rise bearing blaster rifles.

"Wait... why are they shooting at us?" Remmington activates Gram and prepares for a fight.

An Imperial officer follows with hands behind his back, “You thought you could trick me, Lord Yanteer, but I was ready for you.”

“Put down your weapons or my honor guard will kill you where you stand.”

"Imperials!" She is surprised at being attacked by the imperials, and what they should do now. "Why would they attack us? Why would they be here?" There was only one answer, "They have been influenced by the dark forces in the area." She replied to Remmy in a quick analysis of what's going.

"Neither of us is Lord Yanteer." She replied as she hid behind a geological structure. "We are students of the academy, and if you don't stop yourself, we will put you down without mercy."

The woman tried to use her force powers to create an illusion, trying to shift the head of the imperials into looking like a Dark lord, but her force powers seemed to wane and not reach the imperial.

"Who might you be?" Remmington asks the Imperial troops facing them.

“I will ask the questions here. You thought you could sneak into my fortress? I am Darth Vero, Scourge of Hyrexia. You are surrounded. Put down your weapons, I can be civil,” the officer says in a haughty manner.

OOC: Lore or Education roll at Daunting with a setback to know who he is or even Lord Yanteer.

"Darth Vero... I think I have heard of that guys before." Remmington says quietly to Niriti.

"If you give me some clues, I might be able to manipulate his mind into thinking that we are some sort of allies." She whispered to him while keeping her eyes on the imperials, clearly dominated by some kind of sith spirit. She had once been able to control a sith spirit, so another time could still be possible, if she had some clue of who she was dealing with.




OOC. I think it's best not to even try a roll of Daunting with 2eA alone :S

"Just some minor Sith lord that conquered a planet and is infamous for killing his wife so he could marry his step daughter who then betrayed him." Remmington explains what he knows.

"Guess he likes to keep it in family."

"If I could just make one of the others look like his wife, or his second wife, then I could make them fight each other while we sneak up behind them and finish them off."

OCC. If allowed to use more destiny points, if this is a "fight" then will use Misdirect to change the appearance of one of the soldiers.

Remmington nods and gets ready to move. "That works for me. I will leave it to you to create an opening."

OOC: You can try it.

Focused, Niriti pointed towards one of the imperial guards behind the controlling spirit of Lord Vero. She invoked the Force to make the spirit see the guard behind him as a female figure hooded by a long tunic.

"If we were the ones attacking you then you should be careful and look on your own back, My Lord. Your own wife has come for your life." She shouted towards him expecting for the illusion to buy them enough time to reach them and defeat them.

He seems confused, “My wife?”

“She is dead,” he looks at the woman and raises a hand begins choking his fellow soldier through the force and continues, “She was unworthy of me, but my husband has proven to be excellent company.”

There was a crack and he adds, “You were saying.”

"Great... another ghost possessing someone." Remmington comments as he looks over to Niriti for a signal. He readies his weapon to take the lead if so.
