Sylvain had gotten a text from Moyr asking him to meet with her at the bar in the Spaceport. He apparently arrived first and found a table.

Baes should be around, Moyr thought. She turned the commlink on and selected the channel.

She received the strange text while taking a break



She packed her things and moved to the bar

Moyr entered the place cloaked and hooded, which was almost a trademark for those who knew what to look for. She looked around, picking out Syl from all the motley bunch of patrons who hid here from the weather.

Seeing the lithely shadow-like form of Moyr enter the bar Sylvain smiled a welcoming smile.

He pushed the seat out next from him on the table with his foot, allowing Moyr to sit easily.

"Morning beautiful. Hell of a storm today, huh?"

Not far after Moyr, Baesal entered with her work overalls

''Hoy!'' she chirped gleefully, heading for the bar herself

And another foot opened up another chair. He hadn't expected Baesal, but it did not surprise him. He suddenly had a very good guess about what Moyr wanted to talk about.

"Morning Baesal. Nice to see you again." He said with a smile.

Moyr smiled warmly at both as they finally met at the table. She cast the hood off but kept the rest of herself concealed so as to not draw attention of drunk womanisers and such.

"Hey, handsome. You bet. It almost caught be in the open. How are you doing?"

"Well enough. Better after drinks with you last night. I should have recorded your singing." He said with a smile.

"What's up? I'm thinking we're going to be chatting about a certain half-sith and his request for our... collective property."

Baesal's face goes from cheerful to business like

''He asked for it? What did he say?''

He nodded, "He wants to give it to Zash to curry favor with her."

''Tsk'' Baesal was not pleased

''A priceless artefact...and what does he offers in exchange?''

"The promise of future collaboration." He said with a smile.

"Not an entirely convincing proposal."

''No shit...''

Baesal scratched her head

''At any rate, whet will happen to the holocron?''

"It appears that young master Zeno may very well be compromised... He himself was fairly sure that his knowledge of the holocron could be ripped from him by Zash."

He paused, "We need to find a way for him or her not to be able to get to it..."

She raised an eyebrow, somewhat on the defensive

''And you got an idea I suppose?''

"Nothing definite, no... Though I would most likely vote against something that only had a mechanical benefit." He said.

"You could download whatever you'd like from it, but this has more value than just its parts and data."

''Download?''

She looked exasperated

''Holocrons don't work like that...they are quasi-sentient A.I...I just can't download what they are!''

"They too store information though. I can help you download anything that would be of use to you. Just takes a bit of convincing... I've done it before." He said.

"First, keep your voices down."

Moyr interceded.

"Second, backing up the data is one thing. But we need to decide where it goes. Or rather who we entrust it to. Given what happened yesterday during the council session, this is a political issue."

"Which would lead me to think that the holocron should be offered to someone with leverage over Zash." Sylvain replies.

Baesal did not like where this was going

''Uh-hun...I don't think you really know how those things work''

He chuckled, "I'm sure you feel that way... but recent events would suggest that I have at least a fair amount of experience in what goes on in those circles. I know my words will have no sway with you, but perhaps objective facts might."
