The Dark Academy on Korriban

As he said yesterday, the Duros goes to Thaya's room. Probably he will have to talk to Darth Skotia about Lord Zash. He does have some information, although he doesn't know if it could be useful. Also he don't like Skotia either, he was the man that put some bombs in the shuttle that he was piloting, bombs that nearly killed him.

If he has to choose, he would like Skotia and Zash resolve their grudges without him being in the middle. Let them kill each other, he couldn't care less about it.

Anyway, he tries to pass unnoticed. He calls at the room doorbell.

Thaya lets him in and says, “Good you are here. My master should be calling in any minute now. He is very eager to learn what you know. Don’t disappoint him.”

She allows him entry.

'' How wonderful is to see you this morning, Lady Thaya '' Rumun bows to her. He entered the room and stood there, looking around, waiting for Darth Skotia. Hopefully and with a bit of luck he can end this whole messy situation.

Darth Skotia appears at her desk terminal and he says, “So is this the worm that claims to have useful information? Move aside and allow this alien the pleasure of being in my presence, I wish to see his terror personally.”

He then commands, “Speak.”

''Lord Skotia'' Rumun kneeled.

'' I guess you have more urgent things to do so I'm going to be brief.... '' He politely begins. '' As you probably know, Lord Zash ordered me to kill Thaya, after her cargo of supplies were sabotaged by someone, and by someone she means you, my Lord.''

''Finding myself in a position were I could not refuse her, because of well, my inmediate safe being and as you can see I cannot be able to fight her. I deeply resented this situation, oblidged to do something against my will nor that would give me any gains nor additional knowledge.''

'' But some days ago, I was approached by someone who seems to have the same resentment towards her. He* showed me an hologram of her and one of her late apprentices, named Faln. The fate of Faln was like many of her late apprentices, he ended disappearing or dying under strange circumstances... all directly tied to some research she is doing. ''

'' The person that showed me this information suspects that she is using their apprentices to create some type of ritual, perhaps with ancient Sith Alchemy, that saps the connection of the force from force sensitive beings. The ritual we theorized is for satiating her hunger but for what purpose? I cannot say...''

'' I heard about some debate at the council, started by Darth Thanaton, that is looking to censure her because of the treatment and fate of her apprentices.'' Rumun adds

''That's all I have, My Lord '' The Duros finished.

Skotia frowns and says, “Zash is weak if she thought you could defeat my apprentice.”

“You are now my creature, understood.”

'' Understood '' He said. He is unable to say no in this situation, same as when Zash ordered him to kill Thaya. He is just a pawn. A pawn in some petty squabble. But he must wait, patience say the jedi, he must wait for a better outcome and position.

“Zash did not put the proper amount of fear in you, I will not make that mistake,” he says with a glare and to emphasize his point, feels his throat being crushed as he is lifted off the ground. His body in agony for many seconds before he is dropped.

“I prefer my creatures, properly broken.”

OOC: Rumun takes 5 wounds.

*awk, agrgh, gak...ple...ase...agrgh...*

The duros endures the force choke as best as he could.

*Cof, Gasp, Cof*

He cleared his throat as he is released from the choking. Air once again filled his lungs.

Patience, Patience. Rumun repeats as he tries to supress his anger and hate. He hated both, this man and Zash. But for now, is better to play this game. Play or die, these are his options.

'' I will... do as you say...*cof* ... my Lord''

Skotia ends the communication. Thaya says, "Well he didn't kill you."

Rumun turns to look at Thaya. He stands up and caressed his throat with one hand. There was still pain.

He shrugs.

'' I ... guess... you are... right'' He replies as he recovers from the choking. '' So... what in hell are we going to do with Lord Zash? '' He asked. '' She will still want me to kill you. I guess I can lie to her, but she will, eventually, discover this whole thing and she will terminate me, alongside you, my Lady''

Rumun tries to figure it out some plan of action.

“I guess we make sure that Skotia has a reason to keep us alive then,” she replies honestly.

'' Well that sounds like a plan...'' Actually Rumun didn't have much to add to that idea. '' Oh, by the way. Here...'' Rumun passed to her Lord Grenya's lightsaber.

'' I guess it is yours.'' Rumun was in 'debt' with Thaya. And also a single blade lightsaber was not what Rumun was looking for. With the creation of his own double-bladed lightsaber, he did not need it anymore.

She takes it and says, “Got any smart ideas?”

'' Besides killing her while she sleeps? Nope, no for now...'' He shrugs. '' Anyway, I will think is something. I need more information first''

“How can I help?” she asks.

'' I guess you should continue treating me like a worm'' He smiles at that last word. '' That way we could avoid suspicion''

Rumun thinks for a moment

''...or we could do the opposite. I could say that I'm trying to gain your trust if she start asking questions. Which is the truth, or rather it's half-truth. A lie covered by the truth is harder to unveil that just a lie. That could work for now.''

"Fine we work together," she says after a thought.

'' I Guess we have a plan then...'' the duros start walking towards the door. '' I will call you if I got new information. In any case I will continue thinking on a better plan. Perhaps the climate of Yavin IV will help me to figure something'' he smiled.

'' Have a nice day, Lady Thaya '' He bows to her.
